Victoria Beckham breaks silence on David's knighthood as they both get titles
The new Lady Victoria Beckham – yes, you read that correctly – has shared a gushing tribute to her husband; now known as Sir David Beckham after it was announced he will be knighted.
Football star Sir David's knighthood was finally confirmed today as the King's Birthday Honours list was released this evening. It comes after the news was leaked a week before the official announcement made – a move which could have jeopardised the 50 year old's much longed for title, the exclusively revealed last week.
Luckily for Sir David, the leak hasn't prevented him from getting the title he has wished for for a number of years as the news was confirmed in the King's Birthday Honours List, which was released tonight. Sir Beckham is receiving the knighthood for his services to sport and charity, it has been announced.
And, following the exciting news, David's loyal and loving wife Victoria, 51, couldn't wait to shower her Goldenballs hubby with praise. Victoria took to Instagram to share a gushing message about David, in which she penned: "You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official. Sir @davidbeckham!!!
"What an honour, I couldn't be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered.
"The way you've touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I'm so, so proud to call you mine.I love you so much xxxx".
The joyous news comes at a turbulent time for the matriarch and patriarch of the Beckham clan as bubbling tensions between the parents and their eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham have reached a boiling point.
Rumours of a fallout between Brooklyn and his parents first begun earlier this year, when his absence at his mother Victoria's 51st birthday celebrations became apparent – along with him failing to acknowledge her birthday with his usual social media tribute.
It was later reported that Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, had fallen out with the Beckhams over Romeo's girlfriend, Kim Turnball, from whom he's since split. A source told the Mirror: "They split a few weeks ago and it's all amicable and they are still friends."
Despite Romeo and Kim's amicable split, Brooklyn and Nicola are still, allegedly, not on talking terms with the Beckham clan – with some claiming their fallout is mirroring that of the fallout between Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the Royal Family.
And, while David has been growing close to King Charles, 76, of late – with David at a Royal event alongside the King just one day before his knighthood was announced – Brooklyn and Nicola are said to be forming a bond with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It has been claimed Meghan and and Nicola found "common ground" after being painted as the villain in the family feuds. Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, highlighted the similarities in the feuds.
"It's also rather fascinating that the Beckham's son, Brooklyn, who was their firstborn, has sort of sided with his wife against the family. In a way, you know, we're looking at Harry, who was not firstborn, but sided with Meghan against the family," she said to The Sun.
However, the young celebrity couple have been warned against the move as experts cautioned the couple about the potential 'damage' if they isolated themselves from the family in a similar manner to the Sussexes.

Moment cheeky Prince Louis leaves older brother George giggling during Trooping the Colour parade
Although Trooping the Colour is meant to mark the official birthday of the reigning monarch, it was little Prince Louis who stole the show. The seven-year-old waved enthusiastically to royal fans as he sped down the Mall in an Ascot Landau with his mother Catherine, Princess of Wales, and his siblings Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, ten. Meanwhile, their father Prince William took part in the parade on horseback alongside the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal. Taking a moment to himself while driving by a sea of Union Jacks, Prince George, who is second in line to the throne, placed his hands over his eyes. A toothy Prince Louis reacted by mimicking his older brother's gesture. Cameras captured the sweet moment Prince George responded to his brother's antics with a beaming smile as the younger, more cheeky royal threw his head back with laughter. Before they could get up to more mischief, Catherine led the children inside to prepare for the famed flypast. Both princes wore smart suits with white shirts and striking red ties as they took part in the historic parade which involves over 1400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians. The Wales Family certainly seem to enjoy coordinating their outfits with Charlotte and Catherine sitting opposite the boys in the carriage wearing matching blue dresses. Catherine, 43, looked resplendent in an aquamarine coat dress from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana 's favourite designer Catherine Walker - complete with a wide-brimmed hat by Juliette Botterill. The mother-of-three accessorised with the Irish Guards regimental brooch as well as the Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings in a sweet tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. They were crafted from pearls gifted to the Queen and Philip from the ruler of Bahrain at the time of their wedding in 1947. Her mini-me daughter Charlotte also paid tribute to the late monarch by rewearing the Diamond Horseshoe brooch she wore to her great-grandmother's funeral. The brooch, which has been in the Royal Family for generations, had been a gift from her 'Gan-Gan' the Queen, and was a fitting nod to Her Majesty's love of horses. Later on, the Royal Family appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF flypast. As ever, Louis put on a cheeky display for spectators - some of whom had camped overnight in a thunderstorm for a good view of the parade. The Wales children and their mother Catherine ride along the Mall towards Horse Guards Parade on Saturday The youngster, known for his 'window wiper wave', waved excitedly at fans as he showed off his gap-toothed grin. Ever the composed older brother, Prince George gently tried to calm Louis down by placing one hand on his arm. Their father William, 40, who looked handsome in a scarlet military tunic looked down affectionately at his sons. At one point, Louis turned to his grandfather Charles and appeared to make an observation about the fighter jets flying overhead. If Louis once found the proceedings overwhelming, you wouldn't know it from the way he snuck in one final wave before Catherine gently ushered her brood back into Buckingham Palace after the spectacular flypast was concluded. Commenting on the young royal's reluctance to go back inside, Judi James told MailOnline: 'There was a seismic change in royal body language signals on the balcony with Louis suddenly morphing into the most visible and active royal but for all the right reasons. 'Instead of his usual playful activities, he appeared totally focused on the aircraft, only turning to his dad to show off his plane spotting skills, with the affirming nods from William suggesting his younger son is becoming a bit of an aircraft expert 'It was also Louis lingering longer before going back in, to gaze down at the crowds and to keep up the increasingly royal looking waves longer than the rest of the Firm.' The royals watch a flypast involving aircraft including the Red Arrows, Chinook helicopters and a Lancaster bomber The young royals smile as they enjoy this year's Trooping the Colour balcony appearance Taking cues from his father and grandfather, Louis attempted different variations of his royal wave while making sure his siblings were thoroughly entertained throughout their balcony appearance - one of the most eagerly-awaited moments of the day. But there was a more sensible side to Louis as he joined Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh in observing one minute of silence in honour of the 241 passengers and crew killed in the Air India plane crash. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner bound for Gatwick Airport came down in the Indian city of Ahmedabad on Thursday. After the parade, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a sweet family photograph on their Instagram. 'Another brilliant day at Trooping the Colour for His Majesty's Birthday Parade,' the caption read. 'Thank you to everybody who came, and to all those that took part.'

'Scared' Gemma Collins 'calls 999 after receiving abusive letter at her home'
The Only Way Is Essex icon Gemma Collins reportedly had to call the police after receiving a 'threatening and abusive' letter at her home A 'scared' Gemma Collins reportedly called the police after she received a 'threatening and abusive' letter at her home from a man who wrote about his extreme dislike for her. The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 44, called the cops, who then visited her home in the countryside. Following the reported incident, it has been said that the TV personality has upped her security with round the clock dog patrols and loved ones keeping her company. According to an insider, the Celebrity Big Brother icon was left 'shaken and very scared for her safety' after receiving the letter. The source said the abusive letter was from a "man expressing his extreme dislike for her and using menacing language." They added: "It was really nasty and made reference to tracking her down, so she called the police straight away." The Mirror have reached out to Gemma's representatives for comment. The source went on to tell The Sun that Gemma has been grateful to the police for their help in the "ongoing investigation". In May, Gemma revealed on a podcast that she had to deal with stalkers over the years, which "played havoc on her mind". Gemma said: 'No one would believe the bloody crap I've had to deal with. I've had a woman stalker who wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me. "You know, people would wish me dead. I'd get all sorts at the shop. Weird. People are weird. And that's why in a way I came away from my shop in the end.' Meanwhile, Gemma has been struggling with her health in recent weeks. Earlier this week, a bedridden Gemma took to Instagram to share an update about her health, revealing that she had been seriously unwell for a number of weeks. In her post, which included a photo of the reality TV star laying in bed, she wrote: "Hey guys sorry been quiet i have Pneumonia. I'm not as fast or on it as I usually am on the daily. I am still honouring my work commitments which is taking every bit of energy I have but will be back entertaining you all soon." In a further update on her Instagram Story, Gemma revealed she was receiving treatment via a drip and had been seen by a doctor. Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lungs typically caused by an infection, and while most people recover within two to four weeks, infants, the elderly, and those with heart or lung conditions are at a higher risk of severe illness and may require hospitalisation. Luckily, Gemma has not had to go to hospital, but speaking to The Mirror, she admitted that she felt as though she was "dying".
