Barnes has already begun to pivot from live action by the time he played Greg Brady, landing the coveted voice role of the dashing Prince Eric in Disney's The Little Mermaid at just 16 years old
He had various sitcom roles before landing the role of a young Greg Brady in the Brady Bunch films that found success in the 90s.
From there, he would appear in guest roles in successful shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, The Golden Girls and Malcolm & Eddie.
But it wasn't live action where his career took off – it was through using his voice in animation.
Barnes had already begun dipping his toes into voice acting before finding fame as the oldest of the Brady Bunch, landing one of the most coveted roles in animation at just 16 voicing Prince Eric in Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989) – the classic that took home Oscars for best original score and song.

Recently, Barnes has been spotted at Comic Con and other fan events for his work on Spider-Man and The Little Mermaid.
He married his long-time partner Rebecca Guyadeen Barnes in 2012.
