GTA Online player kicked by Rockstar for streaming leaked DLC on jailbroken PS5

A GTA Online gamer was hit with immediate repercussions after trying to livestream unreleased material from the Money Fronts update, set to roll out shortly, using a jailbroken PS5 console.
The player was suddenly ejected from the session by a Rockstar Games admin while in the middle of the livestream, explicitly sending a message that the company is actively enforcing unauthorized access before official releases.
Rockstar admin bans leaker for early access to Money Fronts update
During a livestream of early content from the new Money Fronts DLC, the player was abruptly greeted with a message of:
"You have been kicked from this session by a Rockstar Games administrator."
The ban was streamed in real time and soon shared on social media, where users remarked upon the streamer playing with an altered PS5 system to view unreleased content.
The Money Fronts DLC, which officially comes out on June 17, had previously been preloaded onto Rockstar's servers ahead of time, a routine measure to decongest launch-day traffic. Yet some modders on jailbroken consoles were able to burrow into these preloaded files and trigger aspects of the update early.
Not only did the player in question illicitly access the content but also broadcast it to the public at large, which most likely attracted Rockstar's quick reaction.
Rockstar's zero tolerance for leaks and unauthorized access
Rockstar Games has had a strict policy against cheaters, modders, and leakers for a long time, particularly when it pertains to unreleased material. The studio has upped the ante in the last few years in its efforts to avoid leaks, especially after high-profile ones related to GTA VI and previous GTA Online patches.
The ban is disciplinary but also a warning to others who would seek to take advantage of preloaded content.
Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, has also been similarly aggressive in seeking legal and platform-level enforcement against those who break terms of service or leak proprietary content. This recent incident highlights the publisher's larger initiative to maintain control over how and when its material is revealed.
The mid-stream banning of a GTA Online player for leaking the Money Fronts DLC on a jailbroken PS5 is a clear message to the community. Rockstar isn't merely observing, it's acting. With the official release of the update just around the corner, the studio has sent word that early access via unofficial channels will not be allowed.

Rockstar Games and Remedy confirm long-awaited Max Payne remakes are still coming; fans say ‘We already have reached that limit'

Rockstar Games and Remedy Entertainment have reaffirmed that the long-awaited remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne are still in development. According to Gaming Bible, the announcement was first made in April 2022; the news excited both long-time fans and newcomers. Remedy, the original developer behind the iconic titles and known for Alan Wake and Control, is leading the project, making the remakes especially promising. The collaboration with Rockstar ensures a faithful yet modern revival of the noir-action classics, keeping hopes high for a stylish, story-driven return. In an interview with Kiwi TalkZ, David O'Reilly confirmed the same; he said, "I worked on GTA 6 from 2018 to 2023. Went onto it after we wrapped up on RDR2. It's fascinating having a look at all this stuff." Max Payne's iconic debut Max Payne originally launched on the PlayStation 2 back in 2001, and its blend of gritty, noir-style storytelling, comic book-style cutscenes, and intense gunplay quickly made it a fan favourite. One of its most iconic contributions to gaming was the introduction of 'bullet time', a slow-motion mechanic inspired by John Woo action films, which let players dive through the air in cinematic fashion while taking down enemies. Sequels and development Following the original, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne arrived in 2003, continuing the story with the same developer, Remedy Entertainment. The series was later expanded with Max Payne 3 in 2012, available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Unlike the first two games, this instalment was developed by Rockstar Studios. Though both Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are set to be fully remade and released together, updates on the project have been sparse. It's been over three years since the remakes were announced, leaving fans eagerly anticipating new information. Rockstar Games has been working closely with Max Payne 2 Naturally, some fans worried that the Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes might be stuck in development limbo. Fortunately, there's good news. According to The Vice, Remedy Entertainment recently confirmed in an investor report that they have been collaborating closely with Rockstar Games on the project. Amid this, a Reddit post has garnered attention where one said, 'Love David's channel; his videos offer a lot of great insight into game development. Hope he gets mentioned in the credits for his work on GTA 6.' 'He did explore GTA 5 and mountains he worked on, there's an easter egg by some dev where they put a persons face in the terrain and it spotted after launch and removed and replaced by a cock (chicken), he says he can't talk about that story since he's under NDA. That part always sticked out to me, he even sorta references that easter egg but tries to brush it off and be vague,' another added. 'These games are so massive that I don't think anything less than 8 years is a reasonable expectation.'

How can PS5 players earn an exclusive skin in Battlefield 6 Beta?

Image via Electronic Arts. Battlefield 6 second open beta weekend kicked in yesterday. There was never a doubt that just like the first weekend, the second one would also thrash the player charts with ease. As per SteamDB, BF6 notched up over 400k players in the last 24 hours. With so much new content in the second weekend like Rush mode, the Empire State map, and many more, Battlefield 6 fans are on a roll right now. Not only the brand new contents, PS5 fans can get an exclusive skin as well. But there is a catch. How to get the PS5-exclusive skin in Battlefield 6 beta? Battlefield 6 open beta second weekend is again stacking up huge player counts, but this time, the beta version has shown several issues . Many players complained that they had to wait for a long time in the matchmaking queue to enter any mode, or some even couldn't access the party system properly. But besides all of these, Battlefield 6 has so much to offer to every player. For instance, PS5 players can claim an exclusive Soldier skin, that too without spending a single penny. However, the catch is that PS5 players need to have any kind of active PlayStation Plus subscription in order to avail this deal. Along with the skin, PS Plus members will also grant themselves double XP as well, which will indeed help them in leveling up faster. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Doorstep Car Pickup and Instant Payment Cars24 - Sell Your Car Sell Now Undo Players having an active subscription will instantly become eligible for this offer, as there is no separate process to claim them. PlayStation players already need an active PS Plus subscription to play the multiplayer modes of Battlefield 6. So, it means they have already availed these two rewards for themselves. However, players need to keep in mind that the Soldier Skin will be given away on the day of BF 6's full release, that means on October 10, 2025. But the double XP benefit can be claimed instantly. PS5 players should hurry if they haven't yet logged in to Battlefield 6 yet, because these offers will be available until the second weekend of the open beta phase, which is concluding on August 17, 2025, at 4 AM ET.
