Roll7's 'OlliOlli World' and 'Rollerdrome' are back on Steam
Their creators might be gone, but OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome are finally back on Steam, based on listings spotted by Eurogamer . Both games were delisted from storefronts like Steam and the Xbox Games Store following publisher Take-Two's decision to shutdown developer Roll7, Intercept Games and publishing label Private Division a little over a year ago. OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome represent diverging, but equally great examples of what made Roll7 special. They're thoughtful, visually stylish games about skateboarding and rollerblading that capture the zen-like state you can enter pulling off multiple tricks in a row (plus or minus a mascot costume and a shotgun). Eurogamer notes that Take-Two always planned to put both games back on sale when it originally delisted them, it just took a lot longer to bring them back than expected. 2K, another Take-Two subsidiary, is now serving as the publisher. When the company closed Private Division, not every game stayed at Take-Two. The publisher continues to back games like No Rest for the Wicked from the developer of Ori and the Blind Forest , but a collection of other in-development projects were sold to Haveli Investments, Bloomberg reports. The investment firm brought on former Annapurna Interactive staff to manage the slate following the implosion of that indie-focused publisher and developer in September 2024.

'Grand Theft Auto' Publisher Swaps DEI for 'Diversity of Thought' in Annual Report
May 28, 2025 11:51 AM Take-Two's latest 10-K report has removed any mention of supporting social justice and LGBT+ rights, as more industries fall in line with President Donald Trump's anti-DEI agenda. Take-Two Interactive did not mention DEI in its latest annual report. Photograph: Jakub Porzycki/AP Images Take-Two Interactive, the publisher behind Grand Theft Auto VI , is forgoing any mention of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts and promoting 'diversity of thought" in its latest annual report. The change, first spotted by Game File, is part of the company's annual 10-K report, which offers insight into the company's business, financials, and risk factors. In 2024, the report included a robust section about DEI, expressing support for groups working to 'eradicate social injustice,' LGBTQ+ rights, and minority game design students, and 'celebrating cultural differences' through employee groups. In the 2025 report, Take-Two only mentions diversity in one area: 'We firmly believe that diversity of thought drives the innovation that is integral to our success.' The report adds that the company aims 'to provide an inclusive workplace in which everyone feels respected, heard, and safe,' but does not include commitments to provide scholarships to minority game design students, which were made in 2024. 'By empowering our colleagues to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset and to take calculated risks, we believe that we have created an environment where our people can thrive,' the report reads. The move is part of a growing trend of companies rolling back their DEI initiatives amid a crackdown on anything perceived as DEI by the Trump administration. DEI efforts in the video game industry have grown since the early days of gaming, but it wasn't until 2020 that major companies began to throw support behind minority developers in acknowledgement of greater systemic issues. After George Floyd was murdered by police, companies began to vocally support movements like Black Lives Matter and pledged to help marginalized developers. As President Donald Trump has been cracking down on DEI in both the public and private sector, however, those efforts may now be in danger. Reached by WIRED, a spokesperson for Take-Two declined to comment. The company's website still includes a statement that says it believes 'more diverse teams are more valuable and effective. Diversity is key to our success.' DEI backlash, which has most recently spread across companies in fields like tech and retail, has a firm foothold in gaming communities. Last year, an online harassment movement styling itself as 'Gamergate 2.0' attacked consultancy companies hired to provide guidance and advice on cultural sensitivities, and created lists that deemed even a whiff of anything non-white, cis-male, and heterosexual as DEI. In modding communities, mods for games like The Sims 4 are being created to remove LGBT and Black non-player characters from the game. The language in Take-Two's report echoes that of companies like Meta, which said it would seek "cognitive diversity' in its own 10-K earlier this year, as it ended its own DEI programs. The Entertainment Software Association, which organized the now defunct E3 and acts as an advocate for the video game industry among regulators and lawmakers, declined to comment about the impact of DEI rollbacks in video games. Instead, a spokesperson directed WIRED to the ESA's "Inclusion & Belonging' page on its website, which champions representation and that 'the video game community is vast and diverse.' Diversity of thought may not be a problematic concept in theory, but right-wing personalities have adopted it as a talking point that can provide cover racist, sexist, or transphobic views. Daniel Oppong, founder of The Courage Collective—a consultant that advises companies on DEI—says it is often used as a cop-out to sidestep a company's lack of representation. 'When organizational cultures are largely homogenous, they'll often cite 'diversity of thought' as a means to indicate some element of distinctiveness,' he says. That still doesn't let any company off the hook. 'In that spirit, if 'diversity of thought' is deemed necessary (and acceptable),' he says, 'then diversity of identities (aka: diverse teams) should be an imperative as well.' Oppong says there's a great misconception around what people consider DEI today. 'What was meant to be a robust, interdisciplinary practice designed to create cultures where people thrive, is often misrepresented as 'wokeism' and reduced to polarizing buzzwords that do not accurately portray the essence and impact of effective DEI,' he says. These programs can offer equal access to things like better working conditions for people with disabilities, improved parental leave, and equal access to career opportunities. 'One of the biggest misnomers about DEI is the notion that it only benefits people from historically marginalized groups,' Oppong says. 'The truth is, when implemented effectively, DEI benefits everyone.' For some companies, like Target, DEI rollbacks have meant lost profits and cultural backlash. Next year, Take-Two will publish Rockstar's highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, which co-stars a Latina woman—the very kind of character the anti-woke crowd calls DEI. 'People want to support and work for brands that align with their values,' Oppong says. 'Given the shifting demographics of the US, it's imperative that organizations consider the unique needs and values of different identity groups – particularly if they want to remain relevant and resonant with employers and consumers alike.'

GTA 6: Redditor recreates Grand Theft Auto VI screenshots in Cyberpunk to compare graphics, viral post sparks debate
Rockstar Games has finally released its second trailer of GTA 6, a.k.a. Grand Theft Auto VI, in May 2025, after a long wait. The trailer 2 for GTA 6 is believed to be the biggest video launch in history, with over 475 million views in its first 24 hours across all platforms. Well, apart from the praises of the second trailer, the studio also released multiple screenshots, fresh artworks from the game and updated its website too. Following this fresh content, it has sparked more new theories, speculations and rumours until the game is finally launched in 2026, as per recent announcements made by Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. Credit: Reddit Redditor recreated GTA 6 screenshots in Cyberpunk 2077 Amid the wait till 2026 for the final launch of GTA 6's second trailer, a Redditor has recreated some of the latest GTA 6 screenshots in Cyberpunk 2077, and the difference between the two looks insane. The user NPO1 posted the pictures showcasing the comparisons in the Cyberpunk Subreddit and stated that GTA 6's skin textures and subsurface scattering are phenomenal. "Cyberpunk really has those plasticky looking skin textures, a major upgrade in my opinion but we also have to keep in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 was designed to run on base PS4 and by the time GTA 6 releases it will be six-years-old, considering that I think it still holds up as one of the most amazing visuals in video games we have ever seen in this generation," the post caption added. Curious to see if that holds up in release, and what kind of graphic power it will require to run," another said. Comment byu/NPO1 from discussion incyberpunkgame While commented, "I can't be alone in thinking that CYberpunk looks bloody amazing for a 2020 game.. It shows its age more in the gameplay department and I'm sure Rockstar will deliver a true Next Gen experience as always. Two bloody amazing titles at the end of the day, but I think rockstar will always be #1!" "That glass in the final shot is the biggest difference lol. Small props like that are unusually bad and low detail in Cyberpunk." Comment byu/NPO1 from discussion incyberpunkgame "Games have better graphics every past year. It is good to see those improvements. Also expecting a great graphics move from Cyberpunk Orion as well." To stay updated on the stories that are going viral, follow Indiatimes Trending.

GTA 6 will be out this time next year - or at least that's the plan
The delay for GTA 6 may have contributed to Avengers: Doomsday switching dates, although plenty of fans don't think the game will meet its May launch date. It was always an act of optimism to expect GTA 6 to launch this year, despite Take-Two's assurances it would meet the initial autumn 2025 release window. As such, news of GTA 6's delay was disappointing but not all that surprising. What was surprising, though, was that Rockstar Games and Take-Two immediately committed to an exact release date. Knowing precisely when it'll launch should make the wait a little easier, especially as by this time next year it'll already be out… hopefully. GTA 6 is scheduled to release on May 26, 2026. It being a Tuesday isn't ideal for anyone who has to go to work, instead of enjoying the game all day, but now that we have that date, it's worth booking your time off now. It's obviously going to be a massive game, so seven straight days of playtime will ensure you don't fall behind in the conversations that will undoubtedly dominate online circles. While Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has tried to downplay the possibility, it's entirely possible GTA 6 will be delayed a second time, especially since previous Rockstar games, like Red Dead Redemption 2, saw multiple delays as well. Some fans are very much preparing themselves for more upset. In a thread on the GTA subreddit, positing how fans would react to a second delay, Redditor HizzOVizzA admits they are expecting it to happen, with more than a handful agreeing. 'My advice to you younger folks. Just don't even think about it. I obsessed over GTA 5 for the two years in between the release date and the launch. Same with Red Dead,' says PapasGotABrandNewNag, adding, 'They both exceeded my expectations. It will be worth the wait.' Rouni_99 also suspects, 'We only got the date so we can feel little bit better, since the game is so highly anticipated. I'd be more surprised if the game actually releases in May rather than faces another, shorter delay.' It's not just fans; other publishers suspect GTA 6 will be delayed again, with a recent report alleging that the game's new release date sparked 'emergency meetings' among companies that planned to launch new games in 2026. Given how monumental the launch of a new GTA game is in the world of entertainment as a whole, it's likely GTA 6's release date has had a ripple effect on more than just the games industry. You just have to look at GTA 6's second trailer. When it dropped, it reportedly saw more views in 24 hours than any movie trailer ever made. The previous record holder? Marvel movie Deadpool & Wolverine. More Trending There are even suspicions that GTA 6's delay contributed to the delay of 2026's big Marvel crossover movie Avengers: Doomsday, which was initially meant to hit cinemas on May 1. According to Deadline, Disney has pushed the movie back to December 18, with the sequel Avengers: Secret Wars also delayed from May 7, 2027, to December 17. No official reason was given, but Disney will certainly be aware of GTA 6's release date and they'll know that even the Avengers isn't as big as a new Rockstar game. After all, if everyone's at home playing the game, that's less people going to the cinema. Email gamecentral@ leave a comment below, follow us on Twitter, and sign-up to our newsletter. Why should GTA 6 have the refueling feature?
Image via Rockstar Games. There shouldn't be any doubt that GTA 6 is going to be the most realistic game ever. To make this even certain, Rockstar Games pushed its release date one year further, to May 26, 2026. However, according to the Take-Two CEO, this delay was needed to make the game perfect. So, what is perfection here? No doubt it's realism. This is going to be the USP of GTA 6 - interactive NPCs, dynamic weather system, and many more. And to make things even more realistic, GTA 6 should add the vehicle refueling feature. GTA 6 needs to add the refueling feature in its vehicle Refueling feature would be an exciting feature in GTA 6. | Image via Rockstar Games. We have already seen in GTA 5 how passionate fans can become when it comes to their cars. People spend tons of in-game money in the game for vehicle modification. That is why adding a gas meter gauge in the game can add to their obsession towards the in-game car. Yes, it might be annoying to get your car refilled in the middle of a heist, but this is what it is. This is proper realism, which fans have been wanting for years. If players start getting concerned about their cars' fuel level, it will build a great sense of ownership of their vehicular possession, in turn taking immersion to a whole new level. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025: Steel Suppliers From Mexico At Lowest Prices (Take A Look) Steel Suppliers | search ads Search Now Undo Additionally, it will make a layer of strategy to the gameplay of the fans as they will need to make sure everything is in check before a heist or a mission - guns, ammos, and yes, fuel. Also adding the refueling feature would add seriousness in car modifications as well. As refueling will cost in-game money, fans will become more skeptical about customizing their cars - be its parts, weight or any other aspect - which will eventually add to the fuel efficiency and mileage. This feature would also make the game more interactive by making the fuel stations in the game more interactive, rather than just blowing them up. Besides that, fuel stations can be a worthy possessions as well you manage to own one, because if the refueling feature gets added in the game, then not only you, the hole NPC world around you will be dependant on your fuel station.
