Dominique Thorne just dropped a hint that we could be seeing Riri Williams/Ironheart in either "Avengers: Doomsday" or its 2027 follow-up, "Avengers: Secret Wars".

Speaking with The Direct, Thorne was asked what she thought her chances were of appearing in either "Doomsday" and/or "Secret Wars". The "Ironheart" star answered, "Oh, you know, what can I say? The odds might be in our favor. Who knows? We'll see. We'll see."

That's far from a confirmation, but at the same time it's a stronger hint than you usually get from Marvel stars.
At the same time, Thorne had a confident response to what she would say to fans hesitant to get on board the "Ironheart bandwagon."
"I would say get on the bandwagon," Thorne answered. "It's here. We're here... I mean, Tony's on the bandwagon, so you know, what's the problem? RDJ is here. It's nice here. It's cute here. It's comfy here. It smells good here."
By saying "RDJ is here," Thorne was referencing the fact that Robert Downey Jr. reached out to the younger star to give his blessing to her picking up the Iron Man mantle as Ironheart.
Thorne debuted as Riri Williams/Ironheart in 2022's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever". She becomes a central figure in the looming conflict between Wakanda and Talokan after the MIT student develops a device capable of locating vibranium.
Thorne will soon reprise the role of Riri Williams in the upcoming Disney+ series "Ironheart". The first three episodes of the series will drop on the streamer on June 24.
Whether or not Thorne manages to show up in either "Avengers: Doomsday" or "Avengers: Secret Wars" is another matter. We do know that more stars are supposed to show up in the former film than have already been announced, and even if she doesn't appear in "Doomsday", there's always the follow-up.
"Avengers: Doomsday" is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr.

From villain to hero: Meet Marvel's new Hawaii-born Spider-Girl
HONOLULU (KHON2) — Look out New York — and Hawaii. There's a new Spider-Hero in town. Just released this week, Marvel Comic's latest character. Her name? Spider-Girl. And she's complicated, powerful and better yet, she's Hawaii-born. She's fierce. She's fearless and bringing a fresh twist on classic Spidey vibes. Marvel's new Spider-Girl is officially here and she's creating a buzz. 'Avengers: Doomsday' cast includes Hemsworth's Thor, Mackie's Cap, Fantastic Four and original X-Men 'It's cool because it does bring awareness to the Hawaiian culture itself,' said Stig Lapoint, a comic book fan. This Next-Gen web slinger has roots in Hawaii. Her secret identity is Makawalu Akana and has a dark past that's unlike any Spider hero before her. 'She's a protege of a famous Daredevil villain called 'Bullseye,' and she's breaking away from that in the series and trying to become a proper hero,' said David Nakayama, a veteran cover artist who created the cover art for the debut issue. That's right, Spider-Girl didn't start out trying to save the day. Her superpower is being able to copy other superpowers.'I mean, that's literally the reason I signed on to do the project in the first place. They told me, Spider-Girl, she's Hawaiian. I'm like, Yes, you got me. I'm in,' Nakayama said. David says the challenge was to capture both power and personality in a single image. 'She's of two worlds, right? Like she's from Hawaii, but she's now fighting crime in New York, like a proper Spider person. So we wanted to capture that duality, right?' Nakayama said. 'She's also a youthful spider character, right? She's not Spider-Man, she's Spider-Girl. So, you know, putting in things like little plushies and tassels in her hair is something my daughter would wear. That's kind of the youthful energy we wanted to communicate,' The new ongoing Spider-Girl series is written by Torunn Gronbekk, known for her work with Thor and Venom. Massey's Comic Route 66 Comic and Toy Convention returns to Lebanon
LEBANON, Mo. — Marvel and DC Comic book writers will be coming to the Cowan Civic Center on June 21 in Lebanon. The Fourth Annual Massey's Comics Route 66 Comic and Toy Convention will feature special guests who have been published by DC and Marvel Comics, who are responsible for bringing the likes of Batman and Spider-Man to the masses. 'This is one of our favorite weekends of the year! We love bringing artists, crafters and vendors to Lebanon each year,' said event organizer Casi Massey. 'We love going to these events around the state and are happy to bring it to our community.' 'We've got comic book creators coming in that have worked in the industry for years, legends you might say, and some who are on their way up,' said co-organizer Fines Massey. A new guest this year is artist and writer Andre Parks. Parks is a long-time collaborator with a return guest, Phil Hester. The pair is probably best known for their work on 'Green Arrow' with filmmaker Kevin Smith. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children ages 12 and under.
