Blue Jeep hits man standing at busy Glasgow bus stop

The car was said to have collided with a man while he was standing at the bus stop on Dyke Road in Yoker.
The incident occurred around 1.20pm, yesterday, May 19 in the West of the city.
The Jeep then fled the scene as it failed to stop and sped away in the direction of Culbin Drive.
The victim, a 41-year-old man, was said to have not needed any medical treatment following the ordeal.
Police Scotland is appealing for information following the hit and run.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.20pm on Monday, 19 May, 2025, a blue Jeep was involved in a collision with a pedestrian who was standing at a bus stop on Dyke Road.
"The car failed to stop and drove away in the direction of Culbin Drive, Glasgow.
"The pedestrian, a 41-year-old man, did not require any medical treatment."
Sergeant Iain Allison said: 'I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to please come forward.
'From our enquiries so far, we understand there were other members of the public at this bus stop and we are keen to speak with them as they may be able to assist with our investigation.
'In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage is asked to contact us as this may be significant.
"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1809 of 19 May, 2025.
"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously."

Dovesi faces further charges of breaking the road traffic act and misuse of drugs act. They made no plea and were remanded in custody. They are set to appear back in the dock in the next eight days. "Emergency services attended, however the fire had not taken hold and there was no significant damage. "There were no reports of any injuries. "Two men, aged 25 and 26, were arrested and charged in connection. "Both men are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 19 August, 2025."

Five quad bikes stolen from Aberdeenshire farms

Police are appealing for information following the thefts of five quad bikes from Aberdeenshire farms. The vehicles were taken from sheds along the A97 road between Alford and Aberchirder between last Friday and Sunday. Officers believe a grey Ford Ranger pick-up was used to tow them away on a Scotland said the thefts had severely impacted the local farming community.
