Disney Cruise Line
ship turned into an unbelievable rescue at sea after a child fell overboard and her father leapt in after her. The father of the child is being labelled as a 'hero' after jumping into the ocean to save his daughter after she fell overboard on a Disney cruise, US media reports.
While the Disney Dream was sailing back to Fort Lauderdale, returning from Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in The Bahamas, the ship's four-night Bahamian cruise turned horrifying. Both individuals were promptly rescued from the water, Disney officials said.

Disney cruise rescue as child falls overboard
The cruise ship Disney Dream was sailing back to Fort Lauderdale from a four day trip to the Bahamas. The ship was close to Disney's private island Lookout Clay when the incident occurred. After the father jumped in to save the child, the ship's intercom had rung the emergency code 'Mr M.O.B.'

Overboard incidents on cruise ships, while rare, are often fatal. Disney Cruise Line said the incident highlights the effectiveness of its safety protocols. The child had fallen from the fourth deck and had a safety barrier. The dad had kept the child afloat for about 20 minutes before the rescue team arrived in the lifeboat according to the Daily Mail.

Viral: Woman shares the struggles of having an Indian passport and how it differs from the American ones
Image credits: Instagram/anishaaa1102 There's a reason why people describe travelling as the best teacher of life. When you explore the various places of the world, you face odd situations at odd times and come face to face with different facets of your own personality. What you also understand is how different your birth country is from other countries and how countries where you are not a citizen will not prioritise you as much as your own. Anisha Arora, an Indian woman in the United States is going viral for her Instagram video where she shared her struggles with having an Indian passport and how it made her experience different from travellers that had an American one. Arora filmed a video in a small hotel room, where she was staying after she and many other passengers missed their connection because of a delayed flight. She revealed how other passengers who missed their flight were assigned 5-star hotel rooms due to their American passports however, she was given a capsule-sized room in the German airport where she was stuck. How an Indian passport can change your travel experience? Image credits: Getty Images 'I never really cared about my passport until now,' she said in the video. 'My flight from Frankfurt got missed because the connecting flight got delayed. So while other passengers are getting free stays at five-star hotels and free breakfast and dinners, I am stuck in this stupid capsule.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The all new SP125 that comes with advance technology & features Honda Learn More Undo She then panned her camera to show the area of the room which could be seen at a glance, considering its small size. She also added how those with an American passport had 20 hours where they could go out and explore Germany whereas she had to stay in her room as she did not have a Schengen visa. The young woman who is based in New York City said 'Any other US citizen in my position would have been so happy because they just got free everything and 20 hours to explore a new country, but not me because I have an Indian passport.' Netizens react to Anisha Arora's experience India currently holds the 82nd rank on the Henley Passport Index whereas the US is at the 10th spot. Thus, when compared to American citizens, Indian passport holders don't enjoy a lot of facilities during travel. Various netizens reacted to Arora's experience with surprised and shocked reactions. "Why are people angry? She is right. That's how Indian Passport holders are treated in almost all developed countries. You don't really understand how bad it is until you actually come to Europe or U.S." commented a person under her post. "It's okay. We are only at 80th in passport ranking. If things go well we will soon be the 100th. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼" quipped another. However, many shared how they did not receive the same treatment at other airports. "I am glad that Turkish Airlines didn't treat me like that at Sao Paulo 😭....They gave me free 5 star hotel stay ...I was grateful 🥲" wrote one, "Wow, I experienced quite the opposite. Missed my transit flight to Brisbane. So the airline had arranged a 5 star room and issued a new ticket to Brisbane. Even gave me a $150 to spend on taxi, meal and shopping too. " added another.

10 things Indian students in Canada must know
Moving to Canada as an Indian student is more than just crossing continents — it's a cultural leap, a financial workout, and often, a climatic betrayal. Between deciphering GPA systems, surviving -30°C winters, and learning that 'sorry' can mean anything, there's a lot that no brochure or university webinar will tell you. This isn't just a guide — it's a reality check wrapped in humor, caffeine, and the occasional identity crisis. Whether you're headed for a master's in Toronto or a diploma in Halifax, here are 10 things every Indian student should know before Canada makes you polite… and permanently broke. Here's a sharp, practical, and slightly tongue-in-cheek list of 10 Things Indian Students in Canada Must Know — whether you're heading to Toronto, chilling in Vancouver, or braving the snow in Saskatoon. 1. The Weather is Not Just Cold. It's a Personality. • Canada doesn't do mild. It does -25°C with a wind chill that makes your ancestors shiver. • Buy a proper jacket. Not a Zara puffer. Think down-filled, fur-lined, costs-as-much-as-rent . 2. 'Sorry' is a National Currency. Learn to Use It. • Someone steps on your foot? You say sorry. • Bump into a pole? Say sorry to the pole. • It's not guilt. It's social lubrication. 3. Tim Hortons is Not Just Coffee. It's a Rite of Passage. • Double-Double. Timbits. Ice Cap in December. • Every Canadian student has survived on a $2.50 coffee and stale bagel combo. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn About Hotel Management Courses in Switzerland and the UK LocalPlan Search Now Undo 4. Tuition is International. So is the Shock. • Brace for ₹25–40 lakhs/year depending on the program. • Add rent, groceries, insurance, winter gear, and Netflix. • Congratulations, you now understand compound financial trauma. 5. You'll Start Saying 'Eh?' Without Realising. • 'It's cold, eh?' • 'Midterms were brutal, eh?' • Soon, even your WhatsApp texts will have passive-aggressive Canadian politeness. 6. No One Knows Where Your 'Percentage' Fits. • 85% in CBSE? They'll convert it to a 3.2 GPA and hand you a participation medal. • Learn the bell curve system and curve your expectations. 7. Work Permits are Your Second Degree. • 20 hours/week part-time. That's the law. • Uber Eats, Walmart shifts, TA jobs, or helping aunties with Excel — everything counts. • But no, you can't pay off your fees working part-time. That's a myth. 8. Cultural Shift is Real. Prepare for Reverse Shock Too. • First, you'll feel out of place in Canada. • Then, you'll go back to India and feel out of place there . • It's not identity crisis. It's character development. 9. Build Credit History. It's Like Dating Your Bank. • Get a credit card. Use it. Pay on time. • Want to rent an apartment, buy a car, or not be treated like a financial toddler? Start early. 10. You'll Meet Other Indians. Many. Everywhere. • One moment you're speaking Hinglish in the subway, next minute you're at a Diwali potluck in Brampton. • Canada's a multicultural buffet.
