Rangers Champions League draw LIVE as Euro path to be mapped out in Nyon
But new Ibrox gaffer will no doubt have one eye on events in Nyon as they learn their potential next Champions League qualifying round opponents.
Martin is gearing up for his competitive Light Blues debut when the Greeks head to Glasgow on Tuesday night.
Yet before a ball is even kicked in that huge European clash, Rangers will go into the hat for the next round.
And the Ibrox giants will learn their potential Europa League opponents, should they lose over two legs to Panathinaikos, with UEFA making the draw for both competitions.
There will be a lot of ifs and buts yet fans – if not necessarily Martin and his squad – are sure to be working out all the scenarios that could lie ahead.
Whatever the outcome when the balls are plucked out of the big bowl in Switzerland, it's safe to say Rangers face a huge period.
There is even a chance they could miss out on European group football completely which would be a huge financial blow.

'Players are not ready' or 'we can beat Midtjylland'?
We asked for your views on Hibernian's next potential opponents in Europe, should they what some of you said:Sam: Partizan Ultras travelling to Edinburgh mid-festival and just after the Oasis concerts, that'll be a quiet night at the Full focus must of course be on the very tough tie against Midtjylland. Should we progress, the Europa League draw looks a lot more favourable than the Conference League, with Partizan Belgrade in particular looking an ominous draw. However, the odds are probably stacked against us in our current tie so there's no point getting ahead of ourselves. Can hopefully bring the tie back to Easter road with all to play for there. Hopefully the pre-season has given David Gray an idea of what line-up to Everyone seems to be worried about playing teams such as these, but really they are a similar standard to Hibs or why else would they be in qualifying rounds like we are? We can beat Denmark's Midtjylland, and move on, one way, onwards and A trip to Belgrade sounds like a The team looked slack and unfit against Bolton. Edu working on transfer for Arsenal target he repeatedly failed to sign for Mikel Arteta
Edu is trying to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz for Nottingham Forest, having failed with moves for the Brazilian on a few occasions when he was at Arsenal Nottingham Forest are leading the race to sign Douglas Luiz from Juventus after he rejected moves to other Premier League sides. Juventus only signed Luiz from Aston Villa last summer but they are now desperate to offload the Brazilian midfielder. The Italian giants coughed up £42.35million to sign Luiz from Villa before handing him a five-year contract. Villa only parted company with the 27-year-old to comply with profit and sustainability rules after he enjoyed an outstanding 2023/24 season. Luiz is now trying to secure a move back to the Premier League after a miserable and injury-hit first campaign in Turin. He started just three Serie A matches for Juve last season, with 16 substitute appearances only getting him up to 518 minutes in the league. Juve are now trying to get rid of him and striker Dusan Vlahovic in order to make room for new arrivals, including Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. And it seems that Forest global head of football Edu could hold the key to the potential deal. Edu surprisingly announced his decision to move on from Arsenal in November, having spent five years working at the Gunners alongside Mikel Arteta. He was responsible for the signings of players like Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice – but one player he didn't manage to land was Luiz. However, Gazzetta dello Sport now says that Edu is once again leading the push to sign Luiz, this time for Forest. Luiz has turned down Fulham and Leeds and now his agent, Kia Joorabchian, is flying to London to speak with interested parties. Tuttosport now reports that Everton are in the mix with Forest, while West Ham and Manchester United have previously explored a deal for him. With Luiz still having four years left on his deal with Juventus, a straight transfer appears unlikely. But the Old Lady are reportedly happy to accept an initial loan with the obligation to buy. Last week, West Ham were reported to have offered a €10m (£8.67m) loan deal with an option to buy for around €30m (£26m). That was turned down because Juve want an obligation to buy, rather than an option. Luiz is not in Igor Tudor's plans for the 2025/26 season after missing 20 matches last season through injury while underwhelming when he did play. Edu doesn't seem concerned as he continues chasing the midfielder. Edu and Arteta were convinced that Luiz could become a key player in north London if they could poach him from Villa. They tried on more than one occasion to prise him away from Unai Emery, but were unsuccessful as he spent five seasons with the Birmingham club. It seems he has a better chance this time around, with Forest – unlike Everton or United – able to offer him European football next season.

Granit Xhaka's agent speaks out on why he 'only wants' shock Premier League move
Granit Xhaka is hoping to secure a move to Sunderland this summer, with the former Arsenal midfielder only wanting to join the Black Cats. The 32-year-old has been with Bayer Leverkusen since leaving the Gunners in 2023 and has enjoyed a successful time with the German club. The 2023-24 campaign saw Leverkusen win the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, while finishing runners-up in the Europa League. There has been big change this summer, though, with Xabi Alonso leaving his position as manager to take charge of Real Madrid, replaced by Erik ten Hag. Xhaka is also looking to leave the club and is very keen on joining newly-promoted Sunderland. The team, managed by Regis Le Bris, beat Sheffield United to win the Championship Play-Off final and are spending big on new recruits. Jose Noguera, Xhaka's agent, confirms that his client could well be the next one after agreeing terms, but a deal is yet to be done between Sunderland and Leverkusen. 'We've reached an agreement in principle with Sunderland,' Noguera told Sky Germany. 'Granit wants to return to the Premier League. 'Sunderland excites him – he wants to take on this challenge. We hope Leverkusen will respect his wish to leave and that the clubs will find an agreement soon.' The Athletic report that Xhaka, who is under contract until 2028, has told Leverkusen that he only wants to join Sunderland, despite there being other interested parties in his signature. Apps: 225Goals: 17Assists: 24Yellow cards: 57 Red cards: 4 TalkSPORT report that a deal could be done for just £8.7m to bring Xhaka to the Stadium of Light. Sunderland have already made a string of significant signings this summer, with Habib Diarra arriving from Strasbourg for £30m and Simon Andingra snapped up from Brighton for £21m. Noah Sadiki, Chemsdine Talbi and Reinildo Mandava have also been signed from Union SG, Club Brugge and Atletico Madrid respectively. Jobe Bellingham was sold to Borussia Dortmund for £32m, with Xhaka targeted as a replacement for the teenager. More Trending After a pre-season friendly defeat to Sporting on Monday, Le Bris was asked by the Sunderland Echo if there had been any progress in the transfer market, saying: 'Not really! 'The market is always tough. A lot of work, a lot of discussions, a lot of conversations behind the scenes. I think our project is really attractive but it is not the only one. It's not easy to do this, it's the same for goalkeeper, striker, pivot… I don't know. Every position is possible. We'll see later whether it is possible.' The Black Cats have further pre-season friendlies against Hearts, Hull, Real Betis, Augsburg and Rayo Vallecano before starting their Premier League campaign on August 16 against West Ham.
