Lady Gaga's new tour features fan messages, with predictable gay antics

Yahoo5 days ago
Lady Gaga embarked on her highly anticipated Mayhem Ball this week, with the first stop being at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The pop superstar delivered an unforgettable set of songs, including some deep cuts like "Aura" from ARTPOP and "Summerboy" from her debut album, The Fame. She also debuted a new song called "Kill for Love."However, before the show began, fans were given the opportunity to participate in the show and submit messages using a form on her website, and some were chosen to be displayed on the monitors. The notes that were sent in ranged from adoration to political messages to typical gay antics. Here are some of our favorites.
"C'mon Monsters! Let's go! Everybody better be jumpin'"
To those who aren't chronically online, this message may seem like any regular old post about getting the crowd hyped. However, those who spend way too much online will immediately get the reference. This is a reference to a young boy named Staten Harry, who uploaded a video of himself lip-syncing to "Alejandro" and said the phrase heard round the world. The flamboyant young boy stole the hearts of the Little Monsters, who still love him to this day, even if he has denounced Gaga and pivoted to being a Christian influencer.

He changed the name of his YouTube channel to StatenLwSpreading_GodsGrace and wrote a lengthy message in the description of one of his videos about how he stopped worshipping Gaga and focused on his religion. "March 28th used to be a VERY demonic day for me because it's Lady Gaga's birthday…. a day I used to worship her and exalt her on so crazy much," he wrote. "So anyways just a little testimony of HOW GOOD GOD is and how now on March 28th im glorifying HIM not a mere celebrity."
He went on to write, "I legit had thousands of pictures of her on my phone. Pictures even on my wall. My clothes. My phone's wallpaper. My entire social media accounts were even based upon worshiping her. Wow….Thank you LORD for saving me. Amen.'
Little Monsters remind everyone that art is political
Some of the messages on display were political, and a Lady Gaga concert is the perfect place to share these sentiments. One message reads, "No human is illegal. Melt ICE. Fuck Trump," whereas another note reads, "F Donald Trump, trans lives matter, and FREE PALESTINE."
Everyone remembers their first time
Alex from NYC shared a sentimental memory with the crowd that reads, "First time I ate p*ssy was to Born This Way, thanks for always being there for me Gaga!" The comment was one of the more shocking messages that made it to the stage, with one X user posting it with the caption, "CAN Y'ALL BEHAVE?! Also, is there no moderator?!" If these are the types of messages we're going to see, we say keep them coming.
Gay people's bedrooms? A likely place for Gaga to be
Joey shared an unsurprising message, "My husband and I bone to Mayhem sometimes. We are gay. Hi everyone."
Some of the messages get even more NSFW, leading fans to believe there's a good chance this idea won't last that long. "This segment will definitely be deleted for the rest of the tour,' one person suggested. "RIP Voices of Mayhem. They're gonna silence us now," another person wrote. The next show is taking place on Friday, as she plays a three-show stop in Vegas before moving on to San Francisco on July 22.

'The View' host Sunny Hostin warns Colbert cancellation could lead to the 'dismantling of our Constitution'

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin warned on Tuesday that CBS canceling Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" could be the start of the "dismantling of our Constitution." CBS announced Thursday "The Late Show" will end in May at the end of its broadcast season. Though CBS and parent company Paramount said the choice to cancel the series was "purely a financial decision," and the show was reportedly losing the network $40 million a year, many liberal commentators claim it was for political reasons. Just days before the cancellation, Colbert slammed Paramount's recent settlement with President Donald Trump over his lawsuit against "60 Minutes" as a "big fat bribe" ahead of a pending merger between Paramount and Skydance Media. Hostin and her fellow co-hosts were also skeptical of CBS' explanation for canceling Colbert's show based on the "timing" of the announcement. She pointed out that if politics were involved, then the fabric of democracy could be in jeopardy. "My concern is, if it is political, then everyone should be concerned. People on the right should be concerned. People on the left should be concerned. Because it's very clear that, if it is political, this is the dismantling of our democracy. This is the dismantling of our Constitution. Right?" Hostin said to the cheering of the studio audience. She continued, "The First Amendment is the First Amendment for a reason and that is freedom of the press, freedom of speech. Freedom to speak truth to power. If that is taken away, if the comedians are being attacked, then that means our Constitution is being dismantled… That means the very rubric of our democracy is being dismantled. And I think every single person should be really, really concerned about it." Hostin praised Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for speaking up on the issue and demanding answers. Several other high-profile Democrats also spoke out against canceling Colbert, whose show was openly favorable to their party while hostile to Republicans. "We must protect our Constitution and we must protect our democracy! This is bigger than just the cancellation of a television show!" Hostin exclaimed. Her co-host Joy Behar blamed Trump for Colbert's cancellation and warned "all bets are off" if comedians are taken down. "It's always been the role of the court jester to make fun of the king. That is the role of comedians. I have said on this show, I think I said it years ago, when they start coming for the comedian, all bets are off, because the king is supposed to take the hits and this guy has a skin thinner than, I don't know, than this card," Behar said, holding one up. Colbert fired back against Trump on his show Monday night after the president celebrated his show ending on Truth Social, writing, "I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. "How dare you, sir?" Colbert responded. "Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go f--- yourself."

Barry Bonds heartfelt message to Giants after Bobblehead Day

The post Barry Bonds heartfelt message to Giants after Bobblehead Day appeared first on ClutchPoints. The San Francisco Giants squandered an opportunity to gain ground in the NL West Saturday, as the Los Angeles Dodgers ended a seven-game skid with a 2-1 victory. The Giants fell to third place in the division after the loss, as San Francisco now trails LA by five games. But regardless of the outcome, Saturday was a special day at Oracle Park. The Giants hosted a Barry Bonds bobblehead giveaway and the all-time home run leader was in attendance, even throwing out the first pitch before the game. Bonds received a warm welcome from the San Francisco crowd and showed his appreciation with a message posted on Instagram. 'Thank you @sfgiants for having me for Bobblehead Day – what an incredible honor! It means so much to be celebrated here at home. I'm beyond grateful for the love from the fans and everyone who showed up today. What a day to remember!' Bonds wrote. Giants fans show up for Barry Bonds bobblehead game Although he retired 18 years ago, Bonds still looms large over the MLB landscape. He remains the benchmark used to measure baseball greatness. Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and James Wood have all received Bonds comps this season. And it usually means you're doing (or expected to do) something incredible at the plate. Droves of fans showed up to Oracle Saturday, hoping to be one of the first 20,000 attendees to receive a bobblehead. Lines stretched all around the ballpark well before the game began, per Anthony Garcia on X. Bonds spent 15 of his 22 major league seasons with the Giants. And he credits Hall of Famer and San Francisco great Willie Mays for mentoring him when he joined the team in 1993. In an effort to keep that tradition alive, Bonds met with Rafael Devers when he first arrived in the Bay Area. The Giants landed the All-Star slugger in a trade with the Boston Red Sox in June While Bonds has been snubbed by the Hall of Fame, he's part of the Giants' Wall of Fame and San Francisco retired his number. He's also in the Pittsburgh Pirates' Hall of Fame. He began his career with the Pirates in 1986 and spent seven seasons in Pittsburgh. Bonds is the all-time career leader in bWAR (162.8), home runs (762) and walks (2,558). He also holds the single-season record for home runs (73) and on-base percentage (.609). Bonds won seven MVP Awards in his incredible career. He received the award five times as a member of the Giants, including four straight MVPs from 2001-2004. No one else in baseball history has won the award more than three times. Although that could change this season as Shohei Ohtani makes a run for his fourth-career MVP.
