Fans may remember that a Madonna feature film was originally planned by Universal with Julia Garner expected to play the lead. That project, however, was dropped in early 2023 after Madonna paused development to focus on her Celebration Tour. Despite shelving the film, The Hollywood Reporter noted that Madonna had already co-written two drafts of the script and had expressed her determination to share her life story with the world 'someday.'
