EastEnders exposes tragic Martin Fowler secret in early iPlayer release

Yahoo10-04-2025

spoilers follow for Tuesday's episode (April 8), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn't yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has exposed a tragic secret about Martin Fowler, following his emotional funeral – and Ruby Allen isn't happy.
Walford's residents came together to say goodbye to one of their own in yesterday's episode, but that morning Stacey arrived back in Albert Square drunk, after staying with her brother for a few weeks.
Lily confronted her mum about her behaviour, and Stacey ended up slapping her daughter. The teen ran off and ended up missing the funeral, choosing to drink with Avani instead.
Back in the Square, in today's episode, Ruby remarked on the speech Stacey gave at Martin's graveside, annoyed about her heartfelt words.

Stacey found Lily and told her she would regret missing her dad's funeral, and the pair ended up in another painful row.
Rejecting Eve's concerns, Stacey headed to the allotment, where she found Ruby sitting in the shed. Ruby asked Stacey again if Martin told her he loved her before he died, and her fears were finally confirmed.
Ruby felt foolish that she had imagined her and Martin's future when he really loved Stacey, admitting that she had always known his heart was elsewhere.

She also admitted that she had told Martin not to go back into The Vic to save Stacey after the explosion as she knew it was unsafe.
Their heartfelt conversation turned into a tense argument, with Ruby even questioning the basis of their friendship as young girls. Ruby gave Stacey some home truths, making it clear that she was done with both her and Martin.
Stacey and Lily made amends and finally felt able to grieve together, while Ruby continued to feel isolated and stood by Martin's stall while drinking.

That evening, Stacey thanked Eve for her support at home – but she got a huge shock when she looked outside and saw Martin's fruit and veg stall on fire.
Stacey rushed outside and could only look on in horror as Martin's pride and joy burned to the ground. Who was responsible for this spiteful act?
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.

Millions of PS5 Players Can't Buy or Play Gears of War: Reloaded

version won't be available to millions of console owners this August, it has emerged. Microsoft has confirmed that the game will not launch in Japan due to 'regional and platform' restrictions. However, it will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S in the region. Gears of War: Reloaded PS5's Japan release plans has left players puzzled. Initially, it was assumed that the game was simply denied rating by the country's strict rating board, CERO. But things got confusing when it emerged that Gears of War: Reloaded will release on PC and Xbox in Japan. So, what exactly happened here and what 'platform' restrictions is Microsoft talking about? Automaton Media has the answer. For games to release in Japan, they must either be rated by CERO or an international body called IARC (International Age Rating Coalition). On their platforms in Japan, Microsoft and Nintendo allow games that are refused classification by CERO but approved by IARC. Sony, on the other hand, still requires publishers to have CERO's seal of approval for mature games (18+) to be sold on the PS Store in Japan. And since Gears of War: Reloaded has not been approved by CERO, it'll be skipping PS5 in the country. Other platforms are content with the IARC rating, so the launch will go ahead as planned. Automaton Media suggests that Sony currently doesn't have any plans to change its policies in Japan. Pro wrestling star Shotzi Blackheart's sultry reason for AEW interest

Shotzi Blackheart will be featured in several independent pro wrestling shows over the next few months after she departed WWE following roughly six years with the company. She appeared on "The Ariel Helwani Show" on Tuesday and discussed the promotions she would be interested in joining as she attempts to find a full-time home. She mentioned that she loved All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Total Nonstop Action wrestling and watches their programming. She explained why AEW would be her preference if she had a choice. "For so many reasons," she said. "I love their freedom. I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things. I've heard many stories of how (AEW co-owner) Tony (Khan) treats talent. I do love that he really cares for his talent – that is super important to me. "And like, hot girls get to make out with each other, so, like, that's cool." For what it's worth on Shotzi's latter point, AEW stars Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa shared a kiss after their match at Double or Nothing last month. Storm faces Mercedes Moné for the AEW Women's Championship at All In next month. Shotzi, whose real name is Ashley Urbanski, also made clear she loved working for WWE and was only unhappy when she wasn't being used. "I mean, I would love to be back at WWE," she said. "I loved working there. I didn't love not working there. It was only when I wasn't being used that I was unhappy, but anytime I was being used, good time – love the locker room, loved everyone I was working for. That's just it. I just don't want to go back and not work." Shotzi attempted to join WWE through the company's "Tough Enough" challenge in 2015. IT wasn't until 2019 that she joined the NXT brand and worked her way to the main roster. She was an NXT women's tag-team champion with Embar Moon, who wrestles as Athena in the AEW-affiliated Ring of Honor. She was also named the 2020 NXT Breakout Star of the Year. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Recently released WWE star Shotzi has named AEW as her preferred destination, citing the company's creative freedom and the reputation of its president, Tony Khan, as key factors. In a candid interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Shotzi discussed her future after her WWE contract was not renewed in May. While she would be open to a return to WWE, she made it clear that AEW is her top choice for a new home. Why AEW Is Her Preference Shotzi explained that her desire to join AEW comes from a place of wanting creative freedom and a supportive environment. She also named several dream opponents she would love to face in the promotion. "I love TNA, I love AEW... AEW is my preference," Shotzi stated. "I love their freedom, I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things. I've heard many stories of how Tony Khan treats talent. So, yeah, I do love that he really cares for his talent. That is super important to me." On Her WWE Release And Potential Return Shotzi was let go by WWE shortly after returning from a torn ACL that kept her out of action for most of 2024. She admitted that being released after working hard to come back from such a major injury was difficult. "When you're going through such a huge injury like that... you hope that, 'Well, if I work really hard and come back even better, maybe I'll get rewarded,'" she said. "But unfortunately for me, I was let go." She believes the reason for her release was simple. "WWE doesn't owe me anything. That's showbiz, right? They just didn't think that I was money and that's okay. I can take that." As for a potential return to the company, she is open to it, but with one major condition. "I would love to be back at WWE. I loved working there. I didn't love not working there, you know what I'm saying? It was only when I wasn't being used that I was unhappy," she explained.
