MA icon Sunny Pang to make Indian film debut opposite Anshuman Jha in Lakadbaggha 2

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 11 (ANI): International action cinema gets a thrilling new crossover as martial arts maestro Sunny Pang is set to debut in Indian cinema with the upcoming film 'Lakadbaggha 2 - The Monkey Business'. The sequel, which continues the gritty narrative of a vigilante animal lover, stars Pang alongside Indian actor Anshuman Jha, who reprises his role from the original. Following his memorable showdown with Tom Hardy in the recent action feature 'Havoc', Pang joins the Indian film industry with much anticipation. For 'Lakadbaggha 2', Pang and Anshuman Jha trained in Bangkok with the action choreography team led by Kecha Kamphakdee and Jaika Stunts. The film is currently being shot in Kolkata and West Java, Indonesia. Actor Anshuman Jha, speaking about his co-star, shared, "I loved Sunny Sir's work in Headshot. It was a dream to work with him, let alone match him in a fight. Sunny Pang brings with him a legacy of real, visceral action. Having him in Lakadbaggha 2 is not just a casting win, it's a statement," in a press note. For Pang, the experience marks more than just a career milestone. "This is my first time working on an Indian film, and the level of respect and passion I've experienced here has been incredible," said the actor. "Lakadbaggha 2 isn't just another action film, it's a story with soul, a fight with purpose. At its core, it champions animal rights, and that mission gives every punch, every kick, a deeper meaning," he added. He further noted the intensity of the production process and said, "Our training in Bangkok to shoot in Indonesia, it's been an intense, unforgettable journey for me. And I'm truly honoured to contribute to this animal lover vigilante universe. One thing's for sure, we're holding nothing back." (ANI)

Akhil Sachdeva on singers cult fanbase: ‘Musicians ne actors ko insecure kiya'

Akhil Sachdeva is not just a singer; his soulful voice is an experience. From his top hits like Humsafar to recent releases like Tu Chand Hai, Akhil has carved a unique space in the Indian music industry. But what lies beneath the voice that makes you miss your ex, your bachpan ka pyaar, and everything in between? In an exclusive conversation with Akhil Sachdeva opened up about his journey from cricket to music, from theatre to becoming a household name in romantic melodies. The Song That Almost Didn't Happen: Tu Chand Hai On speaking about his recent song 'Tu Chand hai', he admitted that he usually composes and writes his own music, so singing someone else's composition felt off. Released under a Dubai-based music label, the song was initially rejected by Akhil. He was travelling during that time and didn't feel connected to the song. Later, his wife convinced him to give it another listen: 'You are melody, and this melody suits your voice.' He ended up singing it in just one take, and the rest is history. 'I'm glad I did it. The song went into a completely different zone once I sang it,' he says. When asked about cross-border collaborations (particularly with Pakistani artists), Akhil says: 'Music has no boundaries—that's something I've always believed. But given the current situation, we have to stand with our country. And we are doing that. I'm proud to stand with my nation.' Singing wasn't Akhil's first choice; in fact, Akhil's first passion was cricket, and he dreamt of playing for India. However, that couldn't materialize. Later, he went to Mumbai and got enrolled in a 3-month acting course with Barry John, where Barry John himself asked him life-defining questions: 'Are you sure you want to be an actor or a musician?' There, he also met his friend Niharika Singh, who was in the same acting class. She suggested that Akhil take advice from a Guruji who is currently his singing Guru. His Guruji also saw Akhil's inclination towards music and suggested he follow the path. And today, Akhil has become a top singer, and he believes he was destined to become a musician. 'I didn't choose music, music chose me' Akhil also revealed that he has been offered many web series and films, but he currently doesn't want to sail in two ships so he is just focusing on his music. Akhil Sachdeva on musicians getting their due appreciation Speaking about Indian singer getting their due appreciation and recognition, Akhil shares that he feels that the Indian music industry is currently at its peak. He even feels that a lot of actors want to become singers, and the singer's cult fan base has surpassed that of actors. He even feels that the music scene has made actors insecure. 'Music scene ne kahin an kahin ja kar actors ko insecure bhi kiya hai.' . He feels that Indian music system is undergoing a transformation and evolving. What's coming next for Akhil Sachdeva After his new release of 'Tu chand hai', Akhil is geared up for many of his major projects coming soon this year. He hinted that 3 new songs are coming by July itself, and 2 more songs with Big Star are also being released this year. Besides this, Akhil Sachdeva spoke about his personal life, dealing with depression after his losing his mother, and the interesting story of his love life.
