The Song That Almost Didn't Happen: Tu Chand Hai On speaking about his recent song 'Tu Chand hai', he admitted that he usually composes and writes his own music, so singing someone else's composition felt off. Released under a Dubai-based music label, the song was initially rejected by Akhil. He was travelling during that time and didn't feel connected to the song. Later, his wife convinced him to give it another listen: 'You are melody, and this melody suits your voice.' He ended up singing it in just one take, and the rest is history. 'I'm glad I did it. The song went into a completely different zone once I sang it,' he says. When asked about cross-border collaborations (particularly with Pakistani artists), Akhil says: 'Music has no boundaries—that's something I've always believed. But given the current situation, we have to stand with our country. And we are doing that. I'm proud to stand with my nation.'
