Valentin Carboni was not the likeliest hero for Inter Milan against Urawa Red Diamonds.
The Argentine is only just coming back from an ACL tear that has kept him out since October.
But it was Carboni who Inter coach Cristian Chivu turned to late in the Nerazzurri's Club World Cup match against Urawa Red Diamonds.
When Chivu threw the 20-year-old on off the bench, Inter were trailing 0-1 in the Club World Cup group stage clash.
However, Lautaro Martinez was able to find the equalizer for Inter.
From then on, it looked as though the Nerazzurri would be settling for a point.
However, it was Carboni who found himself with the ball at his feet inside the penalty area in stoppage time. And the Argentine showed great technique and composure to tuck the ball into the far corner.

Now the big question is whether Carboni will stay at Inter or leave on another loan this summer.

Nerazzurri defender Alessandro Bastoni called Carboni 'a great player.'
'He's already shown that. Then unfortunately last season he got an injury that stopped his growth a bit.'
'But he has unique characteristics that we don't have in the squad,' Bastoni said of the Argentine.
'We hope that he can use this Club World Cup as a platform to stay with us.'
Then, Bastoni commented on Inter's last Club World Cup group stage match. Watch Inter Milan vs River Plate for FREE with DAZN on any device!
'Our minimum objective is to get our of the group,' said the 26-year-old.
'Because we didn't come here on vacation. We really want to do well after a really difficult end to the season.'
'Between Inter and the national there were some bad defeats,' Bastoni admitted.
'But I repeat: we're here to fight. And we really want to get to the next round.'

Jamal Musiala back at training for Bayern Munich at Club World Cup after injury scare
Associated Press ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Star German midfielder Jamal Musiala is back training with Bayern Munich on Sunday after he went off only 25 minutes after entering Friday night's Club World Cup match for Bayern Munich and was substituted by national team veteran Thomas Muller in the 82nd minute. Musiala came on in the 57th minute against Boca Juniors. Originally, the concern was that Musiala might have sustained an injury, with coach Vincent Kompany saying after the game 'he wanted to talk to the doctors first.' The 22 year-old had been recovering from a torn hamstring during the Bundesliga season. Musiala had not played since April and returned to Bayern training on May 7. Bayern and German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann decided not to select him to the squad during the UEFA Nations League semifinals in late May. Musiala has already had a hat trick in this Club World Cup, in Bayern's first game rout of Auckland City FC. ___ AP soccer: recommended in this topic

Coastal Carolina coach Kevin Schnall and an assistant coach ejected from Game 2 of CWS finals vs LSU
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Coastal Carolina coach Kevin Schnall and first base coach Matt Schilling were ejected in the bottom of the first inning in Game 2 of the College World Series finals against LSU on Sunday. Walker Mitchell was at bat with two outs and Sebastian Alexander had just stolen base when Schnall went to the top steps of the dugout, gestured at plate umpire Angel Campos with three fingers and began shouting at him. Campos signaled Schnall's ejection, prompting the coach to charge out to argue. Schilling then was thrown out. It was not immediately known what Schnall was disputing. Associate head coach Chad Oxendine took over Schnall's duties. Coastal Carolina needs a victory to stay alive in the best-of-three series, which LSU leads 1-0. ___ AP college sports:
