From cleaning your kitchen to getting insects to buzz off, a bowl of lemons could benefit every home.
SIMPLY THE ZEST: Citric acid in lemons is antibacterial and antiseptic, so has lots of uses around the house.
If your chopping board needs a refresh, sprinkle it with salt and scrub the surface with half a lemon to give it a new lease of life.
You can also put half a lemon in a bowl of water then pop it in the microwave on high.
Once the water heats up, which will only take a few seconds, the citrusy steam will loosen the dirt inside the appliance, making it easier to clean.
COLD COMFORT: It is cheaper to buy lemons by the bag but that may mean that some of the fruit gets wasted.
Instead of letting them get overripe then throwing them away, cut any you won't use in time into slices and freeze flat, before bagging them up for whenever you need them.
You can even put small slices into ice cube trays then top up with water. The lemony cubes can go straight in a drink.
PEST OF THE REST: Lemons' strong citrusy smell is great for deterring ants, flies and other pests.
Mix one part lemon juice to three parts water and squirt it around doors and on windowsills to make ants do a U-turn.
Mrs Hinch shares her top tips for the big spring clean – from vacuuming your mattress to washing oven trays in the bath
To make flies buzz off, cut a lemon in half and stud the flesh with whole cloves.
SQUEEZY START: A lemon drink to start the day is said to aid digestion and boost immunity and hydration.
To make one, mix the juice of half a lemon with a teaspoon of honey then add just boiled water.
You can also add lemon juice to fresh grated ginger and turmeric. Mix and freeze in ice cube trays.
Pop a cube out and stir into boiling water for a speedy goodness-packed drink. Sieve if you don't like the bits.

Next shoppers say £22 dress fits 'nicely in the right places' and it comes in four colours

Next shoppers have been hailing a summer dress that they say fits 'nicely in the right places' and it comes in four different colours. The Jersey Midi Summer Dress is sold for £22 and comes in a black, cobalt blue, coral and ecru, and a khaki green colours. The dresses come in different size availability, depending on colour, but come in a regular or petite fit and the UK size range between 6 and 20, with tall versions also available. The sleeveless dress comes with a ribbed bodice and whipstitch detailing, creating a simple but elegant design. It is a cotton-blend fabric and midi-length dress, making it a breathable attire to wear during the warmer months. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here. Its description reads: "Available in regular or petite sizing, this gorgeous midi-length dress is perfect for summer, featuring a comfortable cotton-blend jersey fabric with a ribbed bodice, whipstitch detailing across the square neckline and straps, finished with side pockets." The Jersey Midi Summer Dress could be worn with trainers or sandals, accompanied with a pair of sunglasses and some chunky jewellery for earrings or necklace. It could also be worn in any casual setting, whether you're out in the garden, doing errands around the house, or going out and about. Alternatively, for something a bit more formal, fashion enthusiasts could purchase this gorgeous number from Marks and Spencer - Jacquard Tie Detail Mini Shift Dress from the M&S Collection, for £40. Or, at Boden, you could buy the Natalia Jersey Tea Dress that comes in a selection of unique patterns for £99. Back at Next, the Jersey Midi Summer Dress has received an impressive rating of 4.5 out of five stars based on 126 reviews. One shopper praised the dress for its accessibility. They wrote: "The dress is so comfortable to wear, lovely colour, was complimented a few times when I wore it. Would highly recommend it . Would suit tall or short people". And another happy buyer remarked: "It has pockets. It's a lovely dress, thick material, but cool enough for a hot day. Could be dressed up or down. I love mine can't wait to buy the other colours, well worth the money." While another pleased purchaser had this to say: "Loved this dress . Bought for holiday and it was gorgeous on and very comfortable in the hea . Lovely fit around bust and a nice length - midi. Fitted nicely in the right places. Colour looked great next to a tan too." But not everyone was entirely happy with the dress. One reviewer wrote: "Great for holidays, very comfortable. Only gave 4 stars as I would have preferred it about 3 inches longer." And another had a suggestion for a slight change. They said: "Exactly as I ordered a lovely dark green khaki jersey easy to wear dress. Got the 14 petite fitted well not too short as I like my knees covered. Would have liked slightly wider strap sleeves but fine." However, others were pleased. "Very comfortable , quite feminine and a lovely rich colour," one shopper reviewed. "Can be dressed up or down". And another customer penned: "Lovely dress. Easy throw on item and great breathable fabric for the warmer days. Very flattering."

One happy customer wrote: " I am thrilled with these, light and airy, great for the warm weather and they fit perfectly. "I love the waistband and they look really great on. I nearly didn't order these because of the negative reviews saying the waist band was too tight, I decided to risk it as they seemed to be just what I'd been looking for. "I ordered my usual size 8 and a size 10 as insurance. The size 8 was perfect, I returned the size 10 and have ordered another pair in Navy. Very glad I took the chance." They penned: "I have these trousers in three different colours. The elasticated waist is on the tight side but I don't find them uncomfortable and I love the look and feel of them. They look smart and don't crease. I would recommend." While another satisfied reviewer remarked: "Perfect length just above my ankle. The waistband is soft and broad, elasticated for joyous comfort. The colour is a beautiful navy with a brightness that gives a definite blue. Crinkle fabric finish is so summery." But not everyone was happy with their purchase. One reviewer said: "Very nice trousers but sadly the style did not suit my frame, so I had to return them." While another reviewed: "Tried the 10 (usual size) , too tight on waist and high up but nice fit on leg. Tried the 12, too tight on waist again and high up!! It's a shame as they could be gorgeous." However, others were happy with the trousers. One buyer said: "Love these - smart but a very relaxed fit - love them and have bought in other colours. Been looking for comfortable work trousers for ages and these have nailed it". Article continues below And another had this to say: "I'm usually a size 10, bought a size 12 after reading reviews. Glad I did, lovely comfortable trousers for warm days, can be dressed up or casual, would buy again".

Travis Kelce lifts lid on relationship with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has discussed his relationship with Taylor Swift in a new British GQ profile, stating that with her, he feels like a "regular person" and they are "just two people that are in love" away from cameras. The NFL star and pop superstar have been dating since summer 2023. Kelce expressed admiration for Swift's work ethic and her understanding of the intense public scrutiny they both experience in their respective careers. He also described Swift as an 'athlete' for her exhausting stage shows: 'I've seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it's mind-blowing.' Kelce revealed he attended 14 of Swift's Eras Tour concerts, while Swift supported him at 23 NFL games and has become a keen football fan.
