Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 beats Salman Khan's Sikandar: Become 2025's 4th biggest Hindi grosser
Housefull 5, the latest installment in Akshay Kumar's comedy franchise, has stormed the box office, earning Rs 111.25 crore in its first five days. Surpassing Salman Khan's Sikandar, it now ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. The film's success marks a comeback for Kumar, fueled by its humor, music, and ensemble cast. Akshay Kumar 's comedy franchise continues to deliver box office magic. Housefull 5, the fifth installment in the popular comedy series, has made a smashing entry at the box office, surpassing Salman Khan 's Sikandar to emerge as the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 so far. The film opened on a strong note, collecting Rs 24 crore on its first Friday. It witnessed excellent growth on Saturday with Rs 31 crore and a further rise on Sunday, bringing in Rs 32.5 crore. Even with the expected dip during weekdays, Housefull 5 posted Rs 13 crore on Monday and Rs 10.75 crore on Tuesday (as per early estimates by Sacnilk). This brings its 5-day all-language India net collection to an impressive Rs 111.25 crore. The film's blend of slapstick humour, good music and ensemble star cast, worked in its favour, ensuring packed houses across major centres. This feat is particularly noteworthy considering the stiff competition in 2025's packed release calendar. On the other hand, Salman Khan's Sikandar, an action entertainer that opened with Rs 26 crore on its first Sunday, initially showed promise by climbing to Rs 29 crore on Monday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch xu hướng AUD/USD? In its second week, Sikandar could only muster Rs 17.55 crore, followed by a poor third week haul of Rs 2.1 crore. After 22 days, Sikandar's total collection rests at Rs 110.1 crore — just short of what Housefull 5 achieved within five days. With this, Housefull 5 has edged past Sikandar to claim the fourth spot among 2025's top Hindi grossers, trailing behind the year's bigger blockbusters. The success also marks a welcome return to form for Akshay Kumar, who earlier this year has delivered hits like Sky Force and Kesari 2 after a slate of unsuccessful films. Trade is now keenly observing if Housefull 5 can maintain its momentum in the coming week and potentially move further up the list. Housefull 5 has an ensemble cast of Ritiesh Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan , Abhishek A Bachchan, Sonam Bajwa , Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Dino Morea , Chitrangada Singh and Shreyas Talpade and is directed by Tarun Masukhani.

Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan starrer leads ahead as Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam's film continues to struggle, earns Rs…
Housefull 5, boasting a remarkable cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Nargis Fakhri, has still managed to hold its momentum with the audiences. Apart from this, the distinctive idea by makers to release it with different endings has received an encouraging response from viewers, as they are eager to discover how each version of the movie ends. Let's see how this comedy thriller performed on its fifth day. Housefull 5 Manages To Stay In Double Digits In spite of unfavorable reviews and criticism, the movie has joined the 100 crore club in its opening week. Additionally, by the fifth day of its release, it has amassed Rs 111.25 crore , positioning it among the highest-grossing opening films of the year. As per early reports from the trade site Sacnilk, Housefull 5 generated approximately Rs 10.75 crore on Tuesday (Day 5). For the fifth day, the occupancy of the 5A version stood at 20.66%, whereas the 5B version's occupancy was noted at 12.78%. Regarding its global earnings, the film has amassed Rs 160.50 crores at the international box office within its first four days. With Tuesday's collection added, the film has earned Rs 175 crores . This indicates that the movie is nearing the 200 crore mark globally. Simultaneously, the movie is expected to surpass this number by the end of the weekend. Thug Life On Its Verge of Becoming Flop However, Housefull 5 has managed to beat the Tamil industry's anticipated Thug Life featuring Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR . As reported by Kamal Haasan's action-thriller raised its domestic revenue to Rs 40.52 crore with a Rs 3.62 crore collection on its fifth day. The Tamil version of the film earned Rs 3.25 crore , whereas the Telugu and Hindi adaptations garnered Rs 29 and Rs 8 lakh , respectively. Kamal Haasan, who co-produced Thug Life with his production company Raaj Kamal Films International, faces disappointing results as the film follows the unfortunate fate of his previous Indian 2 , helmed by Shankar. Mani Ratnam , in contrast, had achieved a massive success with his Ponniyin Selvan , both parts, before Thug Life.

Tuesday marked Housefull 5's lowest single-day collection since its release, with earnings of ₹10.75 crore. However, this dip was expected, as weekdays typically see a slowdown in box office numbers. Additionally, a report by Pinkvilla noted that a special 'Tuesday discount" offer was in effect across major multiplex chains, with ticket prices reduced to ₹149–₹199 to boost footfall. On Monday, the film collected approximately ₹13 crore, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹111.25 crore so far. On Tuesday, the film registered an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 20.66%. Aside from its comedy and star-studded cast, Housefull 5 has intrigued audiences with an unusual twist: two alternate endings. Produced under Sajid Nadiadwala's banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 5 boasts one of the largest ensemble casts in recent Bollywood history. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles, alongside Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, and Johny Lever. The female cast includes Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, with Chunky Panday and Dino Morea also in significant roles. First Published:
