Regarding its global earnings, the film has amassed Rs 160.50 crores at the international box office within its first four days. With Tuesday's collection added, the film has earned Rs 175 crores . However, Housefull 5 has managed to beat the Tamil industry's anticipated Thug Life featuring Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan TR . As reported by Sacnilk.com, Kamal Haasan's action-thriller raised its domestic revenue to Rs 40.52 crore with a Rs 3.62 crore collection on its fifth day. The Tamil version of the film earned Rs 3.25 crore , whereas the Telugu and Hindi adaptations garnered Rs 29 and Rs 8 lakh , respectively.
Kamal Haasan, who co-produced Thug Life with his production company Raaj Kamal Films International, faces disappointing results as the film follows the unfortunate fate of his previous Indian 2 , helmed by Shankar. Mani Ratnam , in contrast, had achieved a massive success with his Ponniyin Selvan , both parts, before Thug Life.
