The new Nike collection is all about Indian culture and craftsmanship. The sportswear giant has collaborated with Indian label NorBlack NorWhite for a limited edition collection. This is the first time Nike has partnered with an Indian label. The result? A collection that feels like a crossover between bandhani and Nike sports essentials. Think bandhani bralette, tights with bandhani print on the sides, and a crossbody bag with traditional print accents. It is known for combining traditional Indian crafts and textiles with streetwear silhouettes.
'Nike and NorBlack NorWhite applied the look of bandhani, a traditional Indian tie-dye technique, to sport-forward silhouettes designed to move with women throughout their everyday lives whether they're in the gym, on the move or unwinding in style,' Nike said in a statement. The collection comprises four shoes, a hoodie, a tank top, a cropped T-shirt, two bralettes, a pair of shorts, and tights.'15 years ago when NBNW was born, we couldn't imagine bringing our love for bandhani (tie-dye) into the sports arena but here we are and it's feeling too beautiful,' Kapadiya and Kumar of NorBlack NorWhite said in an Instagram post.Shot in Jaipur, the campaign featured several Indian athletes including Anshu Malik, sprinter Priya Mohan and cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma.

advertisement'What really hits different from other campaigns is that this collaboration is designed right here in India by a local collective that gets our vibe,' says Jemimah.'Wearing Nike that's laced with Indian culture is a flex. It's bold, rooted and ours. As a woman in a sport that's often seen through a male lens, being part of a campaign like this is my way of saying, 'We're not just showing up, we're here to take over, win big and look fab while doing it.''The Nike-led collaboration marks a significant moment in global fashion, particularly when we are increasingly witnessing cultural appropriation and the lack of recognition for South Asian roots in many international fashion trends. The good old dupatta is being called a Scandinavian scarf, Gucci called Alia Bhatt's specially designed saree-inspired outfit a 'gown'.Fashion brands like H&M and Reformation, among others, are selling kurta sets and calling them 'top', with no acknowledgment of the origins of the silhouette.
A kurta is a long strappy top on H&M's website.
As for Nike, it has a strong presence in India with over 80 stores across the country.Must Watch

Unrealistic to expect victories without scoring goals: Kalyan Chaubey
Indian Football players (@IndianFootball via PTI Photo) New Delhi: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is expected to start the hunt for a new coach once its technical committee and executive committee approve mutual termination of Manolo Marquez's contract at its meeting on June 29. Manolo, who took over as full-time coach only on June 1 after a dual role shared with FC Goa, has informed the federation that he does not want to continue with national team duties. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! According to sources, the contract can be terminated only if both parties agree. 'We have an executive committee meeting on June 29, where we will take a call (on Manolo's future),' AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey told reporters in the Capital on Friday. Yashasvi Jaiswal's Coach on England Prep, Opening Partner, & Playing Under Gill 'Manolo Marquez is one of the longest serving foreign coaches in Indian football. Over the years, he has managed multiple clubs and won trophies, including ISL trophy and Super Cup. Compared to others, his understanding of Indian football, including strengths, weakness of Indians, as well as opportunities and challenges within the Indian ecosystem, is better.' Under Manolo, India have won just once — against lowly Maldives at home — in eight matches but even more worryingly, failed to score in the last three matches. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No dark spots, 10 years younger! Goalscoring has been a consistent problem and reflects in the mere seven goals that the team has scored in 15 matches since Jan 2024. India have also not won a competitive game since Nov 2023. Quiz: Who's that IPL player? 'It is unrealistic to expect wins without scoring goals. There has been a steady decline in goals being scored from 1.64 (in 2015) to 0.75 currently. While we appreciate Sunil Chhetri's efforts at 40, as a nation we also need to ensure there was supply of more forwards in a systematic manner. 'It's difficult for wa player who has played the supporting role in the club for 11 months, to shift to the No. 9 role (in international matches). We have not had positive strikers in the last 10 years,' said Chaubey. Only Chhetri, India's highest goalscorer, has been a constant feature in the starting lineups of the last four national team coaches: Bob Houghton, Stephen Constantine, Igor Stimac and Manolo Marquez. The AIFF is hoping it can solve the striking woes and overcome India's wretched run of form, with the inclusion of OCI players. Chaubey said his office has contacted 33 footballers from across the world, some of whom already have the Overseas Citizen of India card, while others are being assisted by the federation. 'Like all sports federations (in India), AIFF is committed to aligning with the laws of the land. Under FIFA's framework and regulations, we are also actively exploring the possibility of securing approval for the inclusion of OCI players in the national team,' said Chaubey.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher finalise divorce a year after announcing split
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher After more than two decades together, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have officially ended their marriage. On Friday, the former couple took to their Instagram handles to share identical statements through their Stories, confirming that they have finalized their divorce. Their news comes more than a year after they first announced that they were parting ways. According to TMZ, the exes have now settled their divorce, thus making their breakup legally binding. In a touching statement that Isla and Sacha shared their respect for each other and pride in all they had done as a couple for the years they were together. Even though their romantic relationship has come to an end the two insisted that their three children remain their top priority. They assured that they are completely dedicated to having a friendship and creating a supportive co-parenting relationship. The pair first met in 2001 after which they got engaged in 2004 and finally got married in a quiet ceremony in Paris in 2010. Their marriage lasted more than 14 years. During their time together, they had a very private family life, hardly ever seen in the tabs and often shielding their three children from view. Although the couple were spotted together in public for the last time in late 2023, when they attended an exclusive night out in London, they have become more and more infrequently spotted together since, further to fuel seperation talks about their relationship status in the past few months. Fans may remember that the pair had earlier teased their breakup with a joint Instagram post featuring them wearing tennis attire, jokingly labelling their relationship a "20-year match." Although the joke was in line with their brand, the latest news has a more serious and mature tone, marking the actual end of their ride together.

Suruchi Phogat makes it a hat-trick of gold in women's 10m air pistol at the ISSF World Cup in Munich
Suruchi Phogat (PTI) Pune: At 19, Suruchi Phogat is busy writing history and rewriting it. The Haryana shooter added one more chapter to her career by winning the gold medal in women's 10m air pistol at the ISSF World Cup in Munich. On Friday, she made it a hat-trick of individual gold medals and took her senior international score to 5/5 — five medals in five tournaments. She has become the first Indian to achieve this feat. Suruchi made her international debut at the Buenos Aires World Cup in April. She then competed in Lima and now the ongoing Munich edition. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! In the three individual matches played so far, she has won gold thrice in 10m air pistol events. She also won a gold and a bronze in 10m air pistol mixed competition. In Munich, Suruchi qualified second after shooting a National Record equalling score of 588 (earlier shot by Manu Bhaker). In the final, when all her seven opponents shot below 10.1, Suruchi hit a 10.7 to set the tone for her win. Yashasvi Jaiswal's Coach on England Prep, Opening Partner, & Playing Under Gill She was leading till the 14th shot, but lost the first position for a few shots. 'I am happy but not surprised by my win. I think this is what we train for, to win gold medals,' Suruchi said. When asked if there was any pressure on her after the first two successful editions of the World Cup, she said, 'Fortunately, I don't take pressure of winning medals at all. I have people around me who try to keep me away from the pressure. All I do is train and focus on each shot as that will help me improve. I don't think about the results,' she said. Quiz: Who's that IPL player? Former Commonwealth Games champion and now head coach of the pistol team, Samaresh Jung, feels it is the attitude that makes Suruchi such a force. 'She has been shooting fantastic. Her technique is good but what is unique about her shooting is her attitude. I have observed that anything below gold doesn't excite her. She thrives to win the top place on the podium and it is working very well for her. I am not sure how, but she needs to be protected from undue pressure and expectations from everybody around her,' Jung said. Meanwhile, Paris Games double medallist Manu couldn't qualify for the final after finishing 25th with 574. Palak was 36th with 570. In the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event, all three Indians failed to enter the 6-man final. Anish was the top shooter for India in the 18th spot (581). Vijayveer Sidhu (572) and Ankur Goel (571) were 36th and 37th respectively
