Xavier Ebron Bowiw was booked into the Wichita County Jail on Friday, March 21, 2025, and charged with theft of property over $30,000 and under $150,000 and burglary of a building. He remains held on bonds totaling $150,000.
According to the affidavit, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the Sam's Club on Kell Boulevard just after 3:00 a.m. on February 13 for a report of a burglary.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered that forced entry had been made through a side window in the automotive section on the east side of the business. They also discovered shattered glass on the floor near the jewelry display cases.
Officers said a shoe print was visible in the glass. They said store personnel reviewed security footage and gave them details regarding the incident.
According to the affidavit, officers were told that a silver Chevrolet Malibu with a covered licence plate arrived at Sam's Club, and two male suspects dressed in black wearing blue gloves exited the vehicle. They said one suspect was wearing red tennis shoes and the other was wearing grey shoes.
The affidavit said officers were informed that one suspect used a sledgehammer to break the glass of a jewelry display case, then both suspects removed a large amount of jewelry from the display case and placed the stolen items in a bag before fleeing the premises.
Police said a store representative confirmed the estimated value of the 'significant amount of jewelry' that had been stolen exceeded $30,000.
According to the affidavit, shortly after the burglary, law enforcement was alerted that a GPS tracker on one of the stolen items was pinging on U.S. 87 southbound near the border of Wichita and Clay Counties.
LOCAL CRIME: Third suspect arrested in alleged Texas Lottery scheme
At around 4 a.m. that same morning, Clay County deputies observed a silver Chevrolet Malibu on southbound U.S. 287 with unconfirmed insurance. Deputies said they initiated a traffic stop.
According to deputies, the passenger was identified as Bowie. They said that upon approaching the vehicle, a deputy observed multiple pieces of jewelry with Sam's Club price tags still attached lying on the front passenger floorboard.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies said they discovered a large black trash bag containing stolen jewelry, a second bag containing jewelry display stands, a black sledgehammer, and a backpack containing shoes that matched the shoeprint found by police at the scene.
According to the Wichita County Jail roster, the second suspect has not been arrested as of the publication of this story.Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Attorney: Ex-wife of Rex Heuermann putting on a show in documentary

(NewsNation) — Asa Ellerup, the ex-wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann, has defended his innocence in a new documentary released on streaming platform Peacock. In 'The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets,' a three-part documentary, Ellerup is a central figure along with her and Heuermann's daughter, Victoria. Ellerup referred to Heuermann as 'her hero' despite the pair divorcing shortly after his arrest two years ago, and that she had 'fallen in love with him all over again.' Victoria Heuermann, on the other hand, has said she believes her father is 'most likely' the Gilgo Beach serial killer. Authorities believe they spotted ex-soldier Travis Decker, who is wanted in deaths of 3 daughters John Ray, the attorney for the family of victim Shannan Gilbert, said Ellerup's statements are all about posturing herself to show she had no involvement in the killings. 'This is all for show, and she's being paid a lot of money to put on a show,' Ray said. 'She and her daughter are doing very well at that. This is all fake and her statements are informed by that fakery.' Heuermann is accused of killing a total of seven women, whose bodies were among several found on Long Island, New York. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Heuermann is due back in court June 17 as a judge continues to weigh whether to allow key DNA evidence into the trial. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. WYOMING, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — 28/22 News has updates on an attempted robbery that led to a chase in Luzerne County. It happened Monday night, and police say one of the weapons used in the incident was nearly identical to that of a real firearm. Wyoming Area Regional Police are actively searching for the driver of the vehicle they say was used in the chase Monday night. Police say she and four boys approached another boy at Morris Park in West Pittston on Monday. One of the weapons used very closely resembled that of a real firearm. A Glock 19 styled BB gun, almost identical to that of the firearm Wyoming Area Regional Police Chief Turner carries, police say, was held to a boy's head and stomach in Morris Park in West Pittston Monday night. 'Very similar. Exactly, to be honest with you. Stamped with the serial number, imprinted with the Glock 19 on the slide. The only difference was the air cartridge in the magazine holder instead of a magazine,' Chief Turner explained. According to police, two of the five people who approached the young boy had guns. The one that was seized by police was in the hands of a teenager. One of them allegedly searched the victims' pockets and asked the value of the victims' belongings. PSP investigating deadly Bradford County shooting Police say that's when the boy took off on a bike and the chase began. A young female was allegedly driving the SUV. 'I'm glad that the officer located the handgun before it went down the wrong road,' Chief Turner added. Investigators also say at the park, a third man pulled out a knife. After the suspects were captured by police, all five were taken into custody. Police charged 19-year-old John Williams of Wyoming with aggravated assault, attempted robbery, and other related offenses. 'The playgrounds are there for the children to play. If you bring this nonsense and this, it's not going to be tolerated,' Chief Turner continued. Police say the other three boys involved are juveniles. Chief Turner says they will be petitioned, and he anticipates making more arrests. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
