The most successful game of the year is almost 50% off on PS5 and Xbox
A Capcom juggernaut is at its lowest price yet after only a few months, as a new update is accidentally leaked by Sony.
This year has largely been defined by unexpected surprises, including indie titles Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Blue Prince, but several AAA blockbusters have also made a significant splash.
The biggest of these, at least in terms of sales, is Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom's elaborate action role-player has already surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide after only a few months, and looks set to rival the publisher's best-selling title ever, in Monster Hunter: World.
If you haven't yet tapped into the joys of slaying wondrous beasts for a fancy pair of leggings, Monster Hunter Wilds has received a significant discount on Amazon.
At the time of writing, Monster Hunster Wilds on PlayStation 5 is 42% off at £37.85. If you're on Xbox Series X, it's an even better deal with 55% off at £29.10.
It's unclear how long the deal will last for, but it's the cheapest offer you can find for the console version from a reputable retailer. Plus, if you're new to Monster Hunter, this is arguably the best entry for learning the ropes – as long as you don't mind fumbling through some confusing menus.

According to the now-deleted listing, the update will add two monsters from previous titles; Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter 3 and another 'fan favourite', which is expected to be Seregios from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate – based on prior datamines.
The update, which is set to launch on Monday, June 30, will also include a new Arch-Tempered Uth Duna monster, layered weapons and events.
Aside from Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom's Spotlight showcase is also set to show off more from Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and Street Fighter 6.

If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more An easy, breezy, one-and-done summer dress is exactly what the doctor ordered for the summer months and holiday dressing. We have found a whole host of stylish summer dresses, from mini, midi to maxi, but there is one design in particular that is really causing a storm – Nobody's Child's Charlie Dress. The Charlie Dress has been recognised as the sustainable fashion brand's seventh bestselling item as it has sold over 32,000 units this season alone. So, what is all the hype about? Crafted from 100% organic cotton, this one-and-done dress is flattering, lightweight, breathable and versatile. It features a round neck, it is sleeveless, and features a shirred and elasticated bust before the midi skirt billows out. It also features concealed zip fastening and deep pockets. Available in 16 colours. BUY NOW FOR £89 The Charlie Dress has been crafted from 100% organic cotton, which is comfortable, floaty and breathable. The design boasts a round neck, shirred upper that spans across the bust to the waist before the skirt billows out. The A-line skirt has a tiered hem and is midi length, which provides just enough coverage. This dress also features a concealed zip fastening for a secure fit. It is available in 16 colours, and quite frankly, we want every single one. From the bold red tone, to the classic white option, and the gingham variation, there is a design to suit every shopper's style preference. The dress is available in UK dress sizes 4 to 18, and retails for £89. What we also love about this number is it is a versatile piece you can easily dress up or down. Pair with ballet pumps, flip flops, flat sandals or trainers for the daytime, and layer a cardigan or denim jacket for those breezy summer evenings. Alternatively, slip into a pair of thong kitten heels, or wedges, amp up the jewellery and wear for rooftop drinks with the girl gang. According to the website, this Charlie dress is flying off the shelves, though this is unsurprising given the glowing reviews, More Trending Ingrid shared: 'I love this dress. It's perfect for me, very flattering and I felt really nice in it. Understated but a bit special at the same time. Easy to wear and light so great on its own when it's hot or with a cardigan or jacket when it's not.' Susanne added: 'I wore this straight away and people thought that it looked very nice. It feels very nice. I also love the fact that the dress has pockets.' Lisa gushed: 'Love, love, love this dress – very comfortable to wear – washes well and the added bonus is that it doesn't need ironing.' *Adds to basket…* Follow Metro across our social channels, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Share your views in the comments below MORE: Nobody's Child now has a whole page dedicated to dresses with pockets MORE: The best-selling butter yellow midi dress from Nobody's Child is finally back in stock MORE: Poppy Delevingne teams up with Nobody's Child for gorgeous boho-inspired collection

BBC show that 'cost £30,000,000 axed after just one season'
Survivor has reportedly been cancelled by the BBC after just one season on the air. The new version of the reality show hit screens in 2023 in a primetime Saturday night slot with comedian Joel Dommett at the helm – and reportedly cost the broadcaster £30,000,000 to produce. Survivor saw 18 people compete in a series of challenges on a desert island to win £100,000, just as the original noughties show had tasked contestants with. Yet the programme struggled to attract viewers. Survivor was reportedly in jeopardy as soon as after the first episode aired on the BBC, because it only attracted 2.6 million viewers on average, despite airing in the post-Strictly Saturday slot. The ratings were around two million less than the numbers Michael McIntyre's The Wheel pulled in the week prior – which allegedly prompted crisis talks among TV execs at the time. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video There had been rumours the show was on the chopping block last year and it has now been reported that Survivor is no more. Joel told The Sun: 'It just shows you how nothing is a given in telly. I thought Survivor would be huge. I thought that would be my job for the next 20 years. 'I've done shows and thought that's not coming back and it keeps coming back and then you do something like Survivor, which you think is guaranteed and it doesn't come back.' More Trending Joel told Metro last year he remained hopeful Survivor would return for a second season – although he admitted it needed an overhaul. He said: 'Fingers crossed… there's a lot of stuff that we would do slightly differently. Like with every first series, it's hard, so I think a second series would be amazing. 'Everyone seems to really love it, so I'm excited that – hopefully – [we get to] do another one.' View More » Metro contacted the BBC for comment. Got a story?
