Enola Holmes 3: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far
As of May 2025, Enola Holmes 3 is currently in production, with filming taking place in the UK and Malta. While Netflix hasn't announced an official release date, filming began in April 2025 and is expected to wrap by July. Considering the franchise's previous timelines—where Enola Holmes 2 released about 18 months after its announcement—it's unlikely the third film will premiere before the end of 2025. A more realistic window is early to mid-2026, possibly between March and June, although Netflix might opt for a later release to align with a strategic fall slot. Enola Holmes 3 Expected cast
The Enola Holmes series thrives on its stellar ensemble, and Enola Holmes 3 brings back familiar faces. Here's the expected cast: Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes : The heart of the franchise, Brown returns as the witty, fourth-wall-breaking detective. Her star power, bolstered by Stranger Things and Damsel , anchors the series.
Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes : Cavill reprises his role as Enola's older brother, the iconic detective. His dynamic with Enola is a fan favorite, and he's confirmed to return.
Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes : The Holmes family matriarch, Eudoria, is back, bringing her eccentric and rebellious spirit.
Louis Partridge as Viscount Tewkesbury : Enola's love interest and confidant, Tewkesbury, returns, with his relationship with Enola expected to deepen.
Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson : Introduced in Enola Holmes 2 's post-credits scene, Patel's Watson is confirmed to appear, likely teaming up with Sherlock and Enola.
Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty: The villainous Moriarty, who escaped prison in Enola Holmes 2 , is set to return, promising chaos for the Holmes siblings. Enola Holmes 3 Potential Plot
While Netflix is keeping the plot under wraps, the official synopsis and franchise trends offer clues about Enola Holmes 3 's story: 'Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.'
The shift to Malta suggests an international mystery, possibly involving political intrigue or a high-stakes crime. This new backdrop could introduce exotic locations and cultural elements, differentiating it from the London-centric first two films.
The Enola Holmes films loosely adapt Nancy Springer's The Enola Holmes Mysteries . The third book, The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets , centers on Dr. Watson's disappearance and a cryptic bouquet symbolizing death. While Enola Holmes 2 diverged from the books, Enola Holmes 3 may draw elements from this novel, especially since Watson is now in the mix. Enola and Sherlock might race to find Watson, clashing or collaborating.

The Ferrari actress, 33, was spotted snuggling up to Bravo, 37, on Monday, Aug. 4, while on the set of Emily in Paris. In the photos, Woodley can be seen covering herself with a green baseball cap and sunglasses, and resting her head on Bravo's shoulders as they looked out into the distance. Bravo currently plays Gabriel on Emily in Paris, and the Netflix series is filming its fifth season. Woodley and Bravo first showed off their romance when they stepped out together in Paris multiple times in late March. In the photos, the couple showed a lot of affection for each other as they strolled along the Paris streets. They were photographed holding hands, sharing a hug and draping their arms around one another, smiling as they walked outdoors. Weeks later, Bravo briefly addressed their relationship at the opening night of Broadway's Good Night, and Good Luck on Thursday, April 3. Responding to a question about the actress, Bravo said, "Yeah, I'm really happy." Later that month, the Emily in Paris actor put his romance with Woodley on full display by going Instagram official with her. He shared photos from their trip to Slab City, Calif., with the caption, "Howdy Slab City 🌵" A source later told PEOPLE that Woodley and Bravo are "having a great time together." In May, the source said the pair had been consistently "traveling between the U.S. and France" to see each other ever since they were first photographed together in Paris in March. They're having a great time together," the source said. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! Bravo previously spoke about his perception on love during an October 2024 podcast appearance. On an episode of Podcrushed, Bravo opened up about why he is "fascinated with love." "Early on I discovered that it was the fastest way to grow up. It was the fastest way to accept some of the things you thought were issues, physically wise or mentally wise. To be able to be fully yourself in the presence of someone else, and to see that you're not a monster or you're not weird, it's mind-opening, it's crazy," he said. "This was the only thing I was interested in," he added. "I didn't see why I should spend any time on anything else than finding the most intense form of love possible." Who Has Brittany Snow Dated?
If you watched The Hunting Wives on Netflix in one sitting (guilty), then you might be wondering whether Brittany Snow's love life is as complicated IRL as it is on screen. The answer? Very much yes. In fact, the Pitch Perfect alum's marriage (and subsequent divorce) was a big part of Selling the OC season I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. Want to know everyone Brittany has romanced in the past (as well as what happened with her marriage to Tyler Stanaland)? Let's get into it. Brittany's first major relationship in the spotlight was with musician Michael Johnson, who she dated for just about three years before calling it quits in 2007. 'Brittany really cares about him but can't focus on a relationship now,' a source told In Touch at the time. The two then gave their relationship another shot in 2012 but ended up splitting a few months later. (Fun fact: Michael later went on to briefly date Brittany's Pitch Perfect costar Anna Camp.) Little is known about Brittany's relationship with actor Josh Henderson, but it's widely reported that the two ~briefly dated~ between 2007 and 2008 (as evidenced by the above photo). After meeting on the set of the indie film Walk, Brittany and Ryan Rottman dated for about two years before breaking up in 2010. 'They just grew apart,' an insider later told Just Jared. 'They're still great friends but are just focused on their careers right now.' Dating rumors started circulating about Brittany and musician William Tell after they were spotted holding hands at Coachella. However! By early 2012, William was dating Lauren Conrad, to whom he's now married. Brittany dated Teen Wolf alum Tyler Hoechlin for three years, though the two kept their romance pretty low-key. As she told Cosmo back in 2015, 'We like to keep our moments to ourselves, which is why we don't do much social media. We're not hiding anything. We're not not wanting people to know.' By the end of 2015, the relationship had fizzled out. In late 2015, Brittany raised eyebrows when she was seen at Madison Square Garden attending a Knicks game with filmmaker Andrew Jenks. At the time, a source told E! News that the two were 'casually' dating, but little else was heard about the maybe-romance. Brittany began dating her future husband—professional surfer turned real estate broker Tyler Stanaland—in 2018 after he slid into her Instagram DMs. 'We had a bunch of friends in common, and he actually reached out to me on Instagram with a really lame pickup line,' she told People when asked how they met. By February 2019, the pair was engaged, and they married a year later in March 2020. But then, in September 2022—less than a month after the release of Tyler's Netflix reality series Selling the OC—the couple announced their decision to separate. The reason? Tyler's Selling the OC costar Alex Hall, with whom he developed a very flirty relationship in season one. After the divorce was finalized, Brittany spilled all the breakup tea during a tell-all interview on Call Her Daddy. 'I was not aware of a lot of things, and I'll say that,' she told host Alex Cooper. 'So, I will say, what people think happened, happened.' Well then! Most recently, Brittany sparked romance rumors with photographer Hunter Moreno after they were papped kissing in New York City in October 2024. It's unclear whether they're still dating, but she did give him photo cred on this July 2025 IG post, which feels promising!
