According to a source who spoke to DeuxMoi, J.Lo and Brett were seen "canoodling in Cayo Levantado (in the Dominican Republic) at their Office Romance wrap party." Apparently the order of events was "dinner together, then sitting at the bar canoodling," followed by sneaking "off to a private cabana to be alone."

Brett and J.Lo haven't commented on their vibes, but they got to know each other pretty well while filming Office Romance, and apparently she thought he was "very cute."
Ahead of the project, a source told the Daily Mail that "After a very tough start to 2025, Jennifer can't wait to start a new project and it certainly helps that she will be working with a very handsome and smart star like Brett. He is one hot ticket and a real class act with talent to back it up—he not only acts but he writes amazing scripts. He is like the younger, better, British version of Ben. She thinks he is very cute. Ben knows who Brett is, he is plenty aware. Brett is younger and smarter than Ben. It will irk him for sure."
Meanwhile, a source also told Page Six at the beginning of the year that "Jennifer is ready to put herself out there again and she hasn't given up on finding love. Her friends have encouraged her to date and she's definitely open to meeting someone new. Jennifer is considering dating somebody who isn't in the public eye this time around but she's not limiting herself to any particular type."

Whoa, baby! The real story behind the adorable star of 'Fantastic Four'
Spoiler alert! We're discussing important plot points and the ending of 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' (in theaters now), so beware if you haven't seen it yet. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' brings a superpowered quartet into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there's an important fifth member of that group: an adorable hero baby. Directed by Matt Shakman, the newest Marvel movie is a retrofuturistic sci-fi adventure in which the Fantastic Four deal with the arrival of a world-devouring giant called Galactus (Ralph Ineson). He'll spare Earth if he can have the baby son of superhero couple Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby). The Fantastic Four choose to fight, and little Franklin (Ada Scott) becomes a key figure in the action-packed climax. Join our Watch Party! Sign up to receive USA TODAY's movie and TV recommendations right in your inbox The MCU is famous for its top-notch casting, and finding the right baby was as significant to Shakman as choosing his other main actors. 'We knew that the baby would ultimately probably be the biggest challenge of the movie,' he says. 'Just because it's a little bit easier to pull off a Silver Surfer than it is a baby who needs to be a big part of these emotional scenes.' Filmmakers went down two different roads. Several babies were brought in for production purposes because they could only have youngsters on the set for short periods of time. (For example, they used a three-week-old infant for Sue's zero-gravity space birth.) At the same time, Shakman also needed to cast a 'hero baby,' which involve screen testing a bunch of kids, looking for the right one to be a scene partner for the A-list stars. Who is the baby in 'Fantastic Four'? They ultimately cast Ada, a little British girl who was 3 months old during filming. 'She has so much charisma,' Shakman says. 'There's so much intelligence in those eyes. Those eyes look just like Vanessa's eyes, they're kind of extraordinary in that way.' Ada's face was scanned 'extensively multiple times' so that they could build a CGI model of her to use in effects-heavy action scenes or put on top of other babies' bodies for sequences that filmed over multiple nights, like Sue's big speech outside of the Baxter Building. But the real Ada wowed Shakman in a couple of key emotional scenes. One featured just her and Pascal, as Reed Richards tells his son that he doesn't want Franklin to be like him and talks about his insecurities to the child. 'She's looking at him with such understanding but also curiosity,' the director says. Is the baby in 'Fantastic Four' CGI? The other major scene is at the end, where Franklin – who's embued with the 'Power Cosmic,' a big deal in Marvel lore – resurrects his mom after she dies in battle defeating Galactus. 'She showed up to play' that day, Shakman says of Ada. 'It was a really important moment, and Ada knew it was time to turn it on. It was kind of crazy. She seemed to understand, and I don't know how, what the scene was about. She was fully engaged with Vanessa, she was hyperfocused. Her little hands going down on the chest, that's her. The clapping after Vanessa comes back to life, that's her. That's all in camera.' Behind the camera, Shakman had plenty of help with all things baby, too. There was an assistant director whose job was to find the various babies used for filming, while production assistants 'would sometimes jump in with toys trying to get eye lines to work,' Shakman says. Plus, there was a teacher or welfare worker on the set with the babies, along with the mom, dad and/or primary caregiver. In fact, Ada's mom sometimes dressed up in Kirby's supersuit to help get shots early on during filming. By the time the movie finished, Ada "was very comfy crawling around on Vanessa,' Shakman says. And Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who played the motion-capture role of the Thing, also acted as 'an on-camera baby wrangler.' While Shakman loves working with babies, there are times when they aren't always in the best mood or dozing off or upset because they're hungry. 'But I got so lucky,' the director says. 'I had this really special baby who delivered an incredible performance and I still don't know how it happened. So I thank the movie gods for that.'

Lynette Howell Taylor elected new president of the motion picture academy
Hollywood's most exclusive club has a new leader. Producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been elected president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the group's board of governors announced Thursday, becoming the 37th person to hold the post in the academy's 97-year history. Howell Taylor, a member of the organization's producers branch since 2014, succeeds Janet Yang, who was elected in 2022 and is stepping down after three consecutive one-year terms. Howell Taylor takes the helm alongside CEO Bill Kramer as the organization continues to confront a rapidly shifting landscape for the Oscars and the broader film industry. An academy member since 2014 and, at 46, the youngest president named to the post in decades, the British-born Howell Taylor brings both deep production experience and long-standing involvement in academy leadership. Over the past two decades, she has produced more than 25 films, including 'A Star is Born,' which earned her a best picture nomination in 2019. Her other credits include 'Captain Fantastic,' 'Blue Valentine,' 'The Place Beyond the Pines' and the upcoming 'Roofman.' In 2020, she co-produced the 92nd Oscars ceremony with Stephanie Allain, receiving an Emmy nomination for the broadcast that was capped by a historic win for Bong Joon Ho's 'Parasite.' Within the academy, Howell Taylor served three years as vice president and chair of the powerful awards committee, where she played a key role in shaping the Oscars' direction in a time of institutional change. In a meeting at the academy's Beverly Hills headquarters, the 55-member board also elected a slate of officers for the 2025–26 term. Composer Lesley Barber, producer Jennifer Fox, documentary filmmaker Simon Kilmurry, actor Lou Diamond Phillips and screenwriter Howard A. Rodman will serve as vice presidents, with Kilmurry also taking on the role of treasurer and Rodman serving as secretary. Barber and Rodman are returning officers; the others are serving in officer roles for the first time. As president, Howell Taylor will be expected to help steer the organization through a period of reinvention and uncertainty not just for the academy but for the industry as a whole. The academy continues to wrestle with declining Oscars viewership — this year's telecast averaged 19.7 million viewers, up from the previous year but still less than half what the show pulled in at its peak in the 1990s. The presidency is an unpaid, largely ceremonial role but it has taken on added weight in recent years amid growing scrutiny of the academy's decision-making, including, most notoriously, in the aftermath of Will Smith's 2022 Oscars slap. 'Lynette has been a vital part of the Academy Board of Governors for many years, most recently revitalizing our awards work as chair of the board's Awards Committee,' Kramer said in a statement. 'I so look forward to working with her as our new Academy President, as well as with these incredibly dedicated and strategic board officers. This is an exceptional group of Academy members who will advance the Academy's mission, support our membership around the world, ensure our long-term financial stability, and celebrate the achievements of the global filmmaking community.'
