Julien Beaumer to sit out Spring Creek and Washougal to heal from High Point crash
There will be a two-week hiatus following Washougal for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals, which gives Beaumer a month to recover before the final three rounds of the 2025 Pro Motocross season.
'Wanted to hop on here and give you guys an update for myself,' Beaumer said in a social media post. 'Unfortunately, these last two weekends have been very subpar, and I've been very frustrated. After racing Saturday, the team advised me to go see some doctors and try to figure out what's going on. Obviously, I had that big crash in High Point and I haven't really felt like myself since then. ... I'm still suffering from some lingering effects of the crash I sustained in High Point and the doctor advised me it's best if I take a couple of weekends off and get back to a hundred percent.'
Beaumer started the Motocross season strong, with top-five finishes in Round 1 at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and in the brutally hot Hangtown Motocross Classic the following week. He failed to crack the top 15 in Round 3 at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Colorado, crashed at High Point, and was outside the top 15 in the two most recent rounds while riding injured.
'I'm disappointed,' Beaumer continued. 'I feel like I've let my team, everyone in my corner, down. I feel like we have a pretty promising start to the season in the first two rounds. It's disappointing to have to take a couple of rounds off. I'm frustrated, but I'm going to get back to a hundred percent and hopefully return to Ironman a hundred percent ready to go.'
Beaumer is currently sixth in combined SuperMotocross League points with a 181-point gap to 21st in the standings, so there is little danger of dropping that far down the order. The top 20 riders in combined Supercross and Motocross points at the end of the Motocross season receive an automatic invitation to the SuperMotocross League playoffs.

Chase Sexton out until SuperMotocross World Championship with shoulder injury
After a violent crash in the Ironman National last week in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Chase Sexton has chosen to sit out the final two rounds of the Pro Motocross season, so he can enter the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship in the best shape. With that being said, I'm still encouraged by my riding and am happy with how it was going up until that point. "As far as my body goes, my right shoulder is weak from the crash and [I] am getting it looked at this week. With that being said, it's in my best interest to get ready for SMX and come in at 100%. Just want to say thank you to the fans for always having my back, and I can't wait to see y'all in Charlotte." Sexton sat out four rounds after experiencing a hard crash in the season opener at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, also complaining of shoulder pain at the time. Sexton won Moto 1 at Ironman and was in position to score the overall victory when the crash occurred. Red Bull KTM's Ian Harrison identified the bike problem experienced by Sexton as debris in the rear brakes. "After inspecting the bike Saturday evening, and reviewing the bike data, we now have a clearer understanding of what led up to Chase's crash in moto two at Ironman, and I want to clarify that it was neither rider nor mechanic error," Harrison said in a statement. "Initially, we thought it was a front brake issue, but we now know that debris got into the rear brake system, preventing Chase from activating the rear brake. This forced him to reduce all his speed using only the front brake. We can also see from the bike data that he left the jump on this lap at a much higher rate of speed than at any other lap during the day. "This issue, in turn, caused Chase to crash. The bike landed on the right side first, which then caused the front brake lever to get packed with mud and activate. Chase was unable to continue because of this. We will actively look for a solution to prevent this from happening again, but as we know, in racing, motocross is tough on the equipment, and when you add the speed and intensity that our riders race at, this exaggerates everything. This was disappointing for both Chase and our team, as well as the fans." Sexton returned in Round 6 at RedBud MX Park in Buchanan, Michigan, in Round 6 of the outdoor series, to secure the best seeding for the SuperMotocross World Championship playoffs, which begin on September 6 at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. He finished fifth in his first round back. His results improved quickly with a third-place finish in Millville, Minnesota, the following week and a victory in the Washougal (Wash.) National. That victory marked the first time a rider had beaten a healthy Jett Lawrence. Sexton finished third last year at zMax Dragway and was second the following week at Texas Motor Speedway in the first two playoff rounds. An incident during Moto 1 of the season finale caused him to finish 24th overall of 24 riders. Sexton finished seventh in last year's SMX standings after his third-round problems. Motocross 2025 250 results, highlights, finish at Ironman: Haiden Deegan gets back on track
Haiden Deegan swept the two motos of the Ironman National in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and extended his points lead to a little more than a full race weekend with two rounds remaining. If Deegan earns more points than Jo Shimoda next weekend, he will clinch the 2025 250 MX title with one race remaining, and while his father denied rumors that Deegan would race in the 450 division in the season finale at Budds Creek MX Park in Mechanicsville, Maryland, he undoubtedly believes it would be nice to have the option. More importantly, Deegan wants to leave the 250 Motocross division at the height of his skill after last week's official announcement that he will move into the 450 division next summer after attempting to defend his 250 Supercross title one final time. Deegan won Moto 1 by nearly eight seconds and Moto 2 by more than 12 seconds ahead of Jo Shimoda. Deegan has swept the weekend five times in 2025. It was the third time he's swept the runner-up position behind Deegan after doing so in the first two rounds at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California. This was his fourth consecutive podium and sixth such finish of the season. Tom Vialle rounded out the podium in both motos and overall, but he has some ground to make up after finishing nearly one minute behind the leader in Moto 1 and more than 30 seconds off the pace in the second race. Relive Moto 1 Garrett Marchbanks had another yeoman's performance at Ironman with a fourth-place overall finish after scoring a 4-6. All but one of his Motocross rounds this week have ended in a narrow band of results between third and seventh. Drew Adams scored his first top-five of the season after finishing eighth in the first moto and fifth in Moto 2. This came on the heels of his first top-10 (ninth) at Washougal.
