Princess Andre has opened up about her parents' public spat after dad Peter Adre posted a blistering statement accusing Katie Price of peddling lies for 16 years. It's officially crunch time for the noughties' most iconic couple over 20 years since former glamour model Katie, 47, and Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter, 52, fell in love on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2004. After marrying in 2005, welcoming two children – Junior, 20, and Princess, 18 – and then divorcing four years later, relations turned sour for the former lovebirds. In his shock Instagram statement last night, Peter wrote: 'The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. 'In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. In a statement to Metro, Katie's representative said in response: 'Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn't feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands. Princess Andre breaks silence on parents' feud after dad Peter's scathing statement
Princess Andre has spoken out after her dad Peter Andre unleashed a scathing statement towards ex-wife Katie Price Princess Andre has broken her silence following a blistering statement from her father, Peter Andre, directed at his ex-wife Katie Price. The public spat between the former couple has escalated as Princess launched her first solo television project. The 18-year-old has been giving viewers an insight into her life in new ITV documentary, The Princess Diaries. Despite her father Pete, 52, featuring prominently in the programme, Katie was left seething after producers decided to proceed without her input. Now, in the wake of her father's tirade, Princess has spoken out about the ongoing feud. Responding to a question about her parents on Snapchat, she addressed the tension between them, reports the Mirror. A fan queried on the platform: "Does it affect you even now when your mum and dad don't get on?' In a video response, Princess stated: "To be honest it doesn't affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don't even have any memory of them being together." Overlaying the clip, she wrote: "I love my mum and dad and that's all that matters xxx." Yesterday, Peter took to Instagram with an explosive statement about former glamour model Katie, who he shares Princess and son Junior, 20, with. He said: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. "For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement." He continued: "I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children. In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. "She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today. "Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months." After his allegations, a representative for Katie hit back: "Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn't feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands. Kate will no longer be gaslight and bullied as she once was..." Just hours before Peter's declaration, Katie appeared to suggest a ceasefire between the former couple during the most recent instalment of The Katie Price Show podcast. The ex-couple are reported to have had no contact since their split, following the breakdown of their marriage in 2009. Last week, Katie revealed she was "very very upset" after claiming she had been excluded from her daughter's recent career achievements and alleged she had begged to participate in the TV series but was refused. After facing a storm of criticism over her remarks, with accusations of jealousy and attention-seeking behaviour, the former Page 3 model spoke out again, insisting she wanted to support her teenage daughter. Katie had proposed a meeting with Peter and her former management The CAN Group, stating: "I feel like I've missed out on so much and it's so not fair to bring Princess as piggy in the middle so I think it's about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it. Gyles Brandreth breaks down in tears live on This Morning as he shares devastating family bereavements - while Emma Willis rushes to comfort him
broke down in tears live on This Morning as he shared a devastating family bereavement on Friday's instalment of the ITV show. The 77-year-old and presenter Rachel Johnson, 51, appeared on the sofa to chat to hosts Emma Willis, 49, and Craig Doyle, 54, about VJ Day. The annual celebration is on August 15 and marks the end of WWII. Viewers sent in pictures of their loved ones that were involved , to which Gyles said: 'Whenever we talk about the war, I think of my own parents. 'My father was in the army for 60 years during the second World War, in intelligence - rarely talked about it.' They then shared a snap of his beloved dad which made him well up. 'There he is bless him,' Gyles said. As his voice broke, he continued: 'That's rather touching.' He then turned to Rachel and added: 'And your grandparents.' Rachel put her arm around his shoulder and as Gyles fought back the tears, he said: 'They were the good people! Really good people. 'And interestingly, very interestingly, rarely talked about it. Just got on with it.' Emma got up from her seat and rushed to the coffee table to hand Gyles a tissue. Gyles went on to explain: 'My father-in-law was in the RAF seeing the flights going over there and there were millions of people on all sides, of course, we were defeating an enemy for freedom. 'It was a necessary war, it had a horrific ending because of the atomic bomb falling. 'But you've got to remember it's individuals. 'And when you see the wars today, in Europe, and in the Middle East, it's actually individuals on the front line on all sides. 'It is alarming, but well done to people like my dad and my father-in-law.' Gyles wasn't the only person who got emotional during Friday's morning television. Robert Rinder fought back tears during Friday's instalment of the ITV show. He was visibly emotional after the programme shared footage of the military pipers marking the start of the commemoration. Robert said: 'That sound is so profoundly evocative of what freedom means to reflect on today. 'To celebrate, commemorate and above all else, don't you think to remember and commemorate the sacrifice of those who died so all of us could be free.' Others rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share how much they enjoyed him being on their screen. 'I do like when it's Rob Rinder on a Friday #gmb.' '@GMB what a treat to switch on this morning and see [Rob] Rinder!! someone who can actually discuss topics with guests who actually has intelligence.' 'Robert Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins be your main pressenters.' 'Petition to keep Rob Rinder as the main anchor during the week. Big brain, asks the right questions. open your cheque book #gmb.'
