Realme Neo7 Turbo brings a huge battery and 100W fast charging

GSM Arena2 days ago

Realme launched a new member of the Neo7 family in China. It comes with a 7,200 mAh battery with 100W wired charging, and its name is Realme Neo7 Turbo.
The phone is quite similar to the Realme GT7 but with the chipset of the Realme GT 7.
Realme Neo7 Turbo comes with a Dimensity 9400e chip by Mediatek, which has one Cortex-X4 core at 3.4 GHz. The 6.8" AMOLED screen offers up to 144 Hz refresh rate and an outstanding 6,500 nits peak brightness.
The phone has a 7,700 sq.mm vapor chamber for cooling, a GT 2.0 Engine that reduces rendering by 30% and keeps power consumption at a reasonable level, and a special connectivity chip that improves Wi-Fi signal and provides an ultra-long-distance connection to the router up to 193 meters.
The battery is 7,200 mAh, the biggest capacity in any Realme smartphone (on par with the Chinese GT7, of course). It can charge from 0 to 50% in 18 minutes, while 0-100% would take 47 minutes with the 100W charger provided in the retail box. The Neo7 Turbo supports bypass charging. Realme GT 7 5G
Realme also certified the Neo7 Turbo against water or dust ingress, and it is now IP66, IP68, and IP69 compliant. Since the phone is not camera-oriented, it has a 50 MP main + 8 MP ultra-wide shooter on the back and a 16 MP selfie snapper at the front.
Realme Neo7 Turbo comes with Realme UI 6.0 and Android 15 underneath. It has a Dynamic Island-type feature called Fluid Cloud 2.0 and some AI features, like removing objects in photos or summarizing texts and audio.
There are two color options: White or Black, with a transparent design that highlights the phone's proficiency in raw performance.
Realme Neo7 Turbo
Realme Neo7 Turbo is available in China with a starting price of CNY 1,999 ($280/€250) for 12/256 GB. The most expensive variant is CNY 2,699 ($375/€330) for 16/512 GB, but we doubt any version whatsoever will be launched outside China.

New leak reveals unexpected details about Samsung's upcoming top-tier tablets

Samsung will have a very busy summer, but that has become tradition for the South Korean company, which remains committed to launching two flagship series each year. After introducing the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, Samsung is now gearing up for another major launch, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Besides these two foldables, Samsung is also expected to refresh its flagship tablet series with at least two new models, Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Rumor has it that the tablets aren't ready for release yet and they're unlikely to hit shelves along with Samsung's new foldables, but that's no surprise considering that most of the company's high-end tablets were announced in fall. Unlike last year when Samsung launched a 'Plus' Galaxy Tab S10 version, this year the South Korean giant decided to limit the series to just two models: Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The former makes a comeback after one year of hiatus, while the latter continues the string of 'Ultra' tablets Samsung launched since 2022. The first information leaked about the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra indicates that both tablets will be equipped with Dimensity 9400 processors, MediaTek's flagship chipset. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has a 11,200 mAh battery, just like the previous Ultra models | Image credit: PhoneArena New details about Samsung's flagship tablets reveal that at least one of them will have a bigger battery, which is unusual. Ever since Samsung launched the first Ultra tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8, it always included a 11,200 mAh battery. However, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra seems to feature a slightly larger battery. The folks at GalaxyClub found evidence that Samsung's next flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, will have a 11,700 - 12,000 mAh battery. The exact capacity will be announced by Samsung, but the rated capacity of Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is 11,374 mAh. In comparison, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has a rated capacity of 10,880, although the advertised battery capacity of the tablet is 11,200 mAh. This will be the first time that Samsung upgrades the battery of its Ultra tablets. Even if that seems a minor improvement, it makes way for more improvements in future models.

Deals: Realme GT 7 and 7T launch, Xperia 1 VII on pre-order, Galaxy S25 Edge arrives

Several new releases are clamoring for your attention – some come with solid discounts, others not so much. Here's a closer look at the new offerings. The Realme GT 7 is equipped with a Dimensity 9400e – despite the name, this is closer to the 9300 than it is to the 9400. As we note in our review, the chip is fast, but sustained performance is an issue. Still, you get a lot of hardware for the price. This includes a 6.78' LTPO OLED (120Hz, 1264p+, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 6,000 nits peak brightness) and a 7,000mAh battery with 120W charging and battery bypass. Battery life is quite awesome! The triple camera on the back includes a 50MP main, a 50MP 2x telephoto and an unremarkable 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is rated IP69. It comes with Android 15 out of the box and will receive 4 OS updates and two extra years of security patches. The Realme GT 7T is €100 less, but you give up quite a bit. Not the IP69 rating and not the 7,000mAh battery either (complete with 120W charging and battery bypass). That said, the 6.8' display is a non-LTPO panel (it still reaches 6,000 nits peak, though). Also, the chipset is knocked down to a Dimensity 8400 Max – quite fast, but doesn't challenge flagship chips the way that the 9400e does. The 50MP 2x camera is gone too. Their predecessors are still around – the Realme GT 6 gets you that LTPO panel that the 7T doesn't and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 holds up decently against the Dimensity 8400. This model also has a 50MP main, 50MP 2x tele and 8MP ultra-wide. The battery is smaller – not that 5,500mAh is small (charging is the same at 120W). And the water resistance is only IP64. Realme GT 6 €290 off Read our review 12/256GB - €410 at Amazon DE Then there's the even cheaper Realme GT 6T. The 6.78' LTPO panel (same as the GT) is nice and the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 gets close to the 8s Gen 3. However, we'd rather spend €50 extra and get the higher performance chip and the tele camera (which is missing from the 6T). Realme GT 6T €190 off Read our review 8/256GB - €360 at Amazon DE Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launched this week, which means that the free storage upgrade promo is over. You can get a €50 discount on the 512GB model if you are a Prime Student member, but it's not the same. The Sony Xperia 1 VII launches next week. The phone brings some notable upgrades, but some things (like the telephoto camera) still need work. The longer software support window is nice – 4 OS updates and 2 extra years of security patches. Still, Holy Moly, Batman, what was Sony thinking with that price? Yes, you get a free pair of Sony WH-1000XM5, which are pretty great over-ear headphones, but the new XM6 are even better. The Honor 400 and 400 Pro launched last week. The Pro model is powered by last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and boasts a 200MP camera (1/1.4', OIS) in addition to a 50MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide. The phone is rated IP69 and has a 6.7' 120Hz OLED display. The battery for Europe is only 5,300mAh ('only' because other regions get 6,000mAh) and it supports fast wired (100W) and wireless (50W) charging. The vanilla Honor 400 drops down to a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and an IP65 rating. It also has a slightly smaller 6.55' 120Hz OLED display, but the battery has the same capacity (5,300mAh for Europe) except now with 66W wired-only charging. Honor 400 Read our review 8/512GB - €500 at Amazon DE The Nothing Phone (3a) is one of the few phones in its price range that has a telephoto camera – 50MP 2x (50mm) is on the short side, but it does a fine job. There's also a 50MP main (1/1.57', OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W charging. Its IP64 rating is on the low side for water resistance. Nothing is planning to deliver only 3 OS updates, but the phone will continue receiving security patches for a total of 6 years. About a month ago, Sony raised the prices of the PlayStation 5 in Europe and several other regions. Then Microsoft and Nintendo announced price hikes for their consoles too. Now Sony has cut the PS5 price back down. So, you can have a PS5 (Slim) for €450. Sony PlayStation 5 Slim €100 off You can also pick up an additional controller – the basic DualSense or the DualSense Edge. The Edge has extra controls (paddles on the back), remappable buttons and replaceable analog sticks. We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

Redmi Pad 2 pricing leaks through retailer listings

Earlier this month we caught our first glimpse of the upcoming Redmi Pad 2, the successor to the original Redmi Pad from 2022 - this one has definitely been a (very) long time coming. Today its pricing has been outed through a number of retailer listings in Europe. These show that the Redmi Pad 2 will go for €199 with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and Wi-Fi connectivity. That's the base model. Redmi Pad 2 European retailer listings If you want 4G access too, it looks like you'll need to pay €299, but that version also gets you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, both of which sound much more manageable in 2025 than the 4/128GB combo. The listings show a Mint Green colorway as well as a gray-ish/black one, and we assume those will be the only versions. All of them mention that the tablet is powered by MediaTek's Helio G100 SoC, it has a 9,000 mAh battery, and an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with "2.5K" resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, and 600-nit peak brightness. Camera-wise there will be an 8 MP rear shooter and a 5 MP front-facing one. The tablet will support 18W wired charging but won't ship with a charger in the box in Europe. Via
