Reis thanks Savinho for advice over Girona loan move
Reis, born in January 2006, moved to Manchester City from Palmeiras in January this year on a
four-and-a-half-year contract, but only made four appearances, with City now opting to send him to another club in its group of affiliates to gain top-flight experience.
The defender will hope to follow Savinho's route, with the winger becoming established in the City squad after a successful spell with Girona two years ago.
"He spoke to me about the club, La Liga and Spain," said Reis as he was presented to the press
and fans at Girona.
"He told me a lot of good things, so that is why I am very happy to be here. I hope to have a great season," added the youngster, who could make his debut when Girona kicks off the new La Liga season at home to Rayo Vallecano on August 15.
