Jack Schlossberg rants about Ryan Murphy show about uncle JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette- Kennedy: ‘Grotesque'
Former President John F. Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg put TV super-producer Ryan Murphy on blast for the 'grotesque' new series on '90s it-couple John Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.
The histrionic-prone Kennedy scion expressed his outrage in an Instagram-rant Wednesday — blasting the showrunners of the upcoming 'American Love Story' for profiting off family tragedy.

'Lately, my news feed has been filled with pictures of my uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr. a great man,' Schlossberg, 32, said in the video, referencing the Murphy-produced show.
'For those wondering whether his family was ever consulted, or has anything to do with the new show being made about him, the answer is no. And there's not much we can do.'
'For the record, I think admiration for my Uncle John is great. What I don't think is great is profiting off of it in a grotesque way,' Schlossberg concluded.

Schlossberg is not the only one upset with the new production — a chorus of Kennedy and Carolyn-fans were up in arms over the first images released by the FX production questioning the wardrobe choices and claiming the actors were a far-cry from Camelot.
'There was nobody else who could play Carolyn?!,' one disappointed Instagram user commented on the stills shared on social media of the no-name actors who secured the coveted roles.
'Her yes, him no. JFK Jr. was gorgeous, this guy is average,' one looky-loo commented.

'She would never wear this,' another armchair critic wrote.
'I think maybe Ryan Murphy should be stopped,' one wrote, receiving the reply from another, 'Ryan needs to take a break, seriously.'
Murphy, 59, who produced TV hits 'Glee' and 'American Horror Stories,' admitted he was taken aback by the negative reception the first-look received and fired back at critics in defense of the unknown actors.
'Carolyn Bessette is clearly a religious figure and it's a religion of her own,' Murphy told Variety, adding, 'It's very interesting that people become so inflammatory.'
Murphy revealed that over one thousand actors auditioned for each role, with the production settling on 'perfect choices' Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Kelly.

'We're writing a story about a person — an unknown person — who falls in love with the most famous man in the world and suddenly she can't leave her house,' the 'xxxx 'Grotesquerie' creator said.
'They're doing to our Carolyn what they did to real-life Carolyn,' Murphy said of critics, adding, 'It's not fair.'
The 'Halston' producer further clarified fashion critics who called out the photos for including articles of clothing and accessories that the real life Bessette did not — or would not — wear.
'There were comments like, 'I hate that coat, Carolyn would never have worn that.' That was just a coat we threw on for color. 'How dare you use the No. 35 Birkin bag? She wore a 40!' Yes, we have a 40 but we just threw on a bag from another costume department because that was the sound stage we were on,' Murphy expounded to the outlet..
'American Love Story' will premiere on FX next year on Valentine's Day.

Michelle Obama says she is ‘so glad' she didn't have a son: ‘Would have been a Barack Obama'
She's not kidding around. Former first lady Michelle Obama said she was 'glad' she didn't have a son because he would have turned out exactly like her husband, former President Barack Obama. Obama, 61, doled out the ego-checking barb on Wednesday's episode of 'IMO,' the podcast she hosts with her brother Craig Robinson, as the siblings were chatting with Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez, who suggested the mother of two 'should have threw a boy in the mix.' 'I'm so glad I didn't have a boy,' Sasha and Malia's mom plainly stated. 'Because he would have been a Barack Obama. Ooh,' the 'Becoming' author said, looking down and shaking her head for emphasis. Michelle Obama, 61, said she was glad not to have a son because he would have turned out exactly like her husband, former President Barack Obama. Getty Images 'Baby Barack! It would have been amazing,' Martinez enthusiastically countered. 'No, I woulda felt for him,' Obama said. The episode focused extensively on parenting male children as Martinez has one son and Robinson has three boys. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Obama's musings pointed to a potential preoccupation with her 32-year marriage to the former president — which many have speculated is on the rocks. 'Teach [your son] about how to deal with the traffic stop, but also teach him how to communicate in a marriage and to be a listening father,' Obama said before scoffing at the idea of having a baby Barack. Barack and Michelle on a date night as many speculate that their marriage could be headed for divorce. Michelle Obama/instagram Despite the possibly unintended jab, Michelle praised her hubby for his parenting prowess just last week in an interview with rock legend — and noted Democrat — Bruce Springsteen. 'I think Barack is just like you as a tremendous father, doing it in a lot of grandeur, right,' Obama told The Boss on the June 11 'IMO.' As rumors of the couple's divorce swirled, the Obamas went on a high-visibility date in Midtown Manhattan at the swanky Lowell Hotel restaurant last month and were seen cozying up on another restaurant date in Washington, DC, in April. The 'Overcoming' scribe revealed that she is currently in therapy and is 'transitioning' to a different phase of her life.

Katie Nolan reiterates her staunch defense of Pablo Torre in Bill Simmons spat: ‘Bro, come on'
Katie Nolan made it clear that she will always be on Pablo Torre's side in a beef with Bill Simmons over the former ESPN reporter's coverage on Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson. Nolan elaborated on her decision during an episode of 'Pablo Torre Finds Out' on Thursday, where she called out Simmons for his comments about Torre's coverage of the couple. 'I picked you, it wasn't like … there was no hesitation. [Simmons] didn't even listen to the episode!' Nolan said. 'I listened to it back and I was like 'Bro, come on.' … [Pablo] was out there in LA, so he did Simmons' podcast, refuting Simmons saying that it was whatever, s–tty reporting or whatever. And Simmons was like 'What I'd like to talk about instead is…'' 'It was skillful move by Bill,' Torre interjected. Advertisement 'No, it was not! Immediately, you could see right through it. 'So no then, Bill?' ' Nolan replied The beef between the two started in May when The Ringer founder said Torre was 'pretending to be a journalist' for his reporting on Belichick and Hudson, tying in fictional character Leo Farnsworth from the 1978 film 'Heaven Can Wait' in the process. 3 Bill Simmons attends HBO's 'Momentum Generation' premiere held at The Broad Stage on Nov. 5, 2018 in Santa Monica, Calif. 'Unless you're afraid of @pablofindsout and someone just 'pretending to be a journalist,' of course. Thanks, Pablo.' The two eventually discussed the situation on 'The Bill Simmons Podcast' earlier this month, with Torre defending his work against pushback.

Anne Burrell reflected on settling down with her husband after ‘living the rock star chef life' before her death
Anne Burrell shared insight into her life months before her tragic death on Tuesday. The celebrity chef was found unresponsive in the shower at her home in Brooklyn, New York before being pronounced dead at the scene at age 55, police said. Just three months prior, Burrell went on Tori Spelling's 'misSPELLING' podcast, where she dove into marrying her husband Stuart Claxton in 2021. The couple had met on the dating app Bumble in 2018. 8 Anne Burrell in 2017. Phil & Anne's Good Time Lounge / Facebook The 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star asked the 'Worst Cooks in America' host if she purposely waited to settle down. 'From when I was a kid, I don't know why, but I always was like, I am not getting married until I feel like I have something in life to share,' Burrell explained, 'until I have accomplished stuff.' 'I was living my best life!' she added about her 20s and 30s. 'I was like, living the rock star chef life. I was working a lot, and I had a great social life.' 8 Anne Burrell on Food Network. Instagram/@chefbeaumac Then, one day, Burrell's perspective shifted. 'I just started to feel like, all right, you're getting a little old to keep on doing this,' she recalled. Along with a husband, Burrell also gained a stepson Javier. 'Kids were never on my radar, really,' the cook confessed. 'I love being an aunt. I have nieces and nephews. So I'm like, [being a stepmom] is the perfect amount of parenting for me.' 8 Rachael Ray and Anne Burrell. rachaelray/Instagram Over the years, Burrell has opened up about her relationship, recently telling the Daily Mail in April, 'October will be four years. It seems like it's been four minutes. I don't know if it's a honeymoon [phase] but I feel like it's settled into married life days which I really enjoy.' In honor of Valentine's Day in 2022, the step-mom gushed over her other half, penning, 'You make me the happiest girl in the world!!! I love you to the moon and back my sweet!!!' As for meeting Mr. Right, Burrell once admitted Claxton also felt the instant spark between them. 8 Anne Burrell in 2017 at the Good Time Lounge. Anne Burrell 'I don't know if we had both thought of marriage, but we both were like, 'Oh, yeah, this is something,'' Burrell told People in 2020. ''This is really going to be real and this is going to turn into something.'' 'Once you get to be a woman of 50 years old, you don't really think that marriage is going to be on the plate for you,' she detailed. 'I was always really focused on my career and marriage was never a huge thing in my life that I was looking for. Then when I met Stuart, my opinion about all that changed.' Giving followers glimpses into their lives over the years, Burrell posted a month after their wedding, in a 2021 Thanksgiving post, 'A new home, a wedding, a stepson, great family, great friends, good health, great fans and just so much more!!! Lots of love to all!!!' 8 Anne Burrell at the Austin Food and Wine Festival. Scott Moore/Shutterstock Two years after their nuptials, the couple was still as in love as ever. 'I have to say, I love being married,' Burrell told People in 2023. 'We're together all the time because Stuart works from home. It's the being together all the time, but it's also the adventure together.' 'It's been wonderful, to say the least,' echoed Claxton. 'Anne and I hadn't lived together before we moved in and got married, so it's been a whole adventure, but very lovely at the same time.' The businessman has yet to address Burrell's death, however, her family confirmed the news in a statement to People on Tuesday. 8 Anne Burrell in 2015. Larry Marano/Shutterstock 'Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,' they shared. Both ladies paid tribute to Burrell, with Ray, 56, writing in part, 'I'll miss her friendship deeply. Everyone whose life she touched will miss her. Sending love to Stuart and everyone who knew and loved Anne. We've lost someone truly special.' Guarnaschelli, 55, noted in her own post, 'Make this moment about her. She'd want you to go out, raise a glass, sing karaoke (including this Sia song–one of her favorite 'Worst Cooks' warm up songs) and be able to say, like she does, #ilovewhatido –so do it for her. In her honor.'
