From Royal AM to Highlanders AM? Mama Joy awaits MaMkhize's call
Image: Instagram
What does the future hold for Royal AM superfan Mama Joy Chauke now that the club have been kicked out of the PSL after owner Shauwn Mkhize's financial misgivings?
South Africa's favourite super fan says for now, she's waiting to get word from MaMkhize about the KwaZulu-Natal club's future.
"I'm still with Royal AM. We are just waiting for her to give us the green light to follow her there, otherwise, I will remain a Royal AM supporter until she announces that Royal AM is no more," Mama Joy said on Sunday, according to KickOff.
"She will inform us if we can support Highlanders. They must treat her well because, as their president, she will attend every game.

"Yesterday, I spoke with MaMkhize, and she mentioned that she is trying to organise travel packages for the Royal AM supporters so we can make our way to Eswatini.
She added she remains fully committed to Royal AM – at least for now.
"Personally, I'm still a card-carrying member of Royal AM, so I will become a Highlanders AM supporter once I receive their supporters' card.
Interest from Eswatini is already pouring in.
"I have been receiving many calls from Highlanders AM supporters in Eswatini, inviting me to join them. They want me to be part of their fanbase. Yesterday, I dominated all the front pages in Eswatini.
And while Highlanders is a much larger club in that region, Mama Joy insists her loyalty is still tied to the original team – until told otherwise.
"Highlanders is a huge team in Eswatini, with many more supporters compared to Royal AM, and they have qualified for the top eight. However, I am waiting for the Royal AM management to tell me what our next steps will be."
Last week, the Durban businesswoman insisted on Robert Marawa's show on 947 that she did not buy the Eswatini club after she was appointed as their president. After her unveiling as their new president, she immediately rebranded the club Mbabane Highlanders AM.
Mbabane Highlanders are the most successful team in Eswatini with 13 league titles to their name. However, they haven't been champions since 2001.
In April, the PSL voted to kick MaMkhize's Royal AM out of the league.
Royal AM had been placed under auction to recoup some of the R40 million that Mkhize owed to SARS. After an extensive bidding process, Durban businessman Roy Moodley appeared to have won the race to purchase the club, but after he could not cough up the funds, the sale collapsed, and the league decided to kick the club out.

Coco speaks out on her fallout with Nozipho Ntshangase
Former The Mommy Club star Nozipho Ntshangase's stepdaughter, Coco, is trending after dropping explosive details about her strained relationship with her. Coco left tongues wagging after taking to Instagram to post a selfie with her new stepmother, Misokuhle. The 25 year old recently married her father, Zola Ntshangase in a stunning traditional and white wedding. On The Mommy Club , Nozipho opened up about how deeply hurt she was by Zola's decision to take a second wife. She shared that she didn't support the idea of a polygamous marriage and chose to walk away. Coco's post sparked harsh criticism from former Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Ameigh Thompson, who appeared to suggest that you can't change a child you didn't birth. The remark didn't sit well with Coco, who has since released a statement addressing Thompson's comments. She further opened up about her complex relationship with her stepmother. Coco shared that she moved in with Nozipho in 2023, but their dynamic has since changed. 'Regarding my relationship with Mama (Nozipho), things have changed. The last time we spoke was when I told her I'll be attending the wedding, and after that, there was silence.' Coco stated their father didn't suddenly decide to marry again but they were misled, but now they know the truth. She hinted that certain details were hidden and implied that the whole story is not yet public knowledge. She believes that one day, her brothers will also speak out and share their side of the story. Coco said attending her father's wedding to Misokuhle was entirely their decision; no one forced them. She said they chose to attend the wedding because they genuinely wanted to support their father. 'We went because we love our father deeply and genuinely wanted to support hmi, during this time. It wasn't about choosing sides, it was about showing love to our parents, simply,' she said. DO YOU THINK COCO WAS WRONG FOR SHARING THE SELFIE? Is Beyoncé's Levi's campaign teasing her new album? The Beyhive reacts
Beyoncé has ignited excitement among fans with her latest Levi's campaign, hinting at the much-anticipated 'Act III' of her album trilogy. Image: X This is not a drill, Beyoncé has dropped more easter eggs about 'Act III' of her trilogy albums, igniting fresh speculation among the Beyhive following the release of her latest campaign for Levi's. The short film, titled 'Chapter 4: The Denim Cowboy', was posted by Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé's company, on August 4 and features her wearing 'denim on denim' outfits. The campaign marks the fourth instalment in Beyoncé's ongoing collaboration with Levi's and showcases her navigating a range of classic Americana settings. From riding a horse into town, doing laundry in a laundromat, and eventually speeding away on a motorcycle dressed in rhinestone-studded denim. The ad's visual storytelling, combined with the division into three parts, which are 'The Ice', 'The Heat' and 'The Smoke', has led many to believe it contains references to the three-part album project Beyoncé previously teased. Next Stay Close ✕ Beyoncé's "Renaissance" (2022) and "Cowboy Carter" (2024) have been understood to be Acts I and II of a trilogy. With her country-focused "Cowboy Carter" era officially ending after the close of her tour last month, fans are interpreting this latest Levi's spot as a symbolic transition into the third act, which could potentially be a rock album. The shift in aesthetic is also fueling this theory. While Beyoncé begins the campaign in traditional denim as well as western wear, she ends it in a striking glam-rock ensemble. Beyoncé stuns in new 'Denim Cowboy' ad for Levi's. — Pop Base (@PopBase) August 4, 2025 She's also wearing bold make-up and heavily styled clothing, suggesting a significant genre transition. Fans have pointed out that the transition from horse to motorcycle could represent a narrative evolution: from the themes of country to the raw energy of rock. One fan account on X @beyoncegarden wrote: 'BEYONCÉ ARRIVING ON A HORSE & LEAVING ON A MOTORCYCLE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE— ACT 3 IS COMING, GET UP 😭😭😭😭.' BEYONCÉ ARRIVING ON A HORSE & LEAVING ON A MOTORCYCLE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE— ACT 3 IS COMING, GET UP😭😭😭😭😭 — 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆🫧💚 (@beyoncegarden) August 4, 2025 Another X user @KevCoke6 commented: 'I didn't even realise that Beyoncé's Levi's ad was teasing the transition from country to rock. Horse to motorcycle 🤔.' I didn't even realize that Beyoncé/Levi's ad was teasing the transition from country to rock. Horse to motorcycle 🤔 — kevikev (@KevCoke6) August 4, 2025 This interpretation is further supported by Beyoncé's recent public appearances and editorial work, which have included nods to rock icons such as Prince and Betty Davis, as well as fashion choices that align with 1970s and 1980s glam rock styling. Though Beyoncé has not officially confirmed the release of 'Act III' or provided details on its genre or timing, the Levi's campaign has become a focal point for speculation.
