Kasturba Schools getting a boost under the new coalition govt
On her visit to the Kasturba school in Ramagiri Mandal, the MLA inspected potential sites for the construction of additional school buildings, accompanied by officials and local leaders. She emphasized that the new buildings should be student-friendly and discussed the structural plans with the concerned authorities.
Paritala Sunitha instructed officials to ensure immediate commencement of construction work, as the government has already sanctioned the required funds.
Earlier, the MLA thoroughly reviewed the existing facilities in the school, including the dining and storage areas. She provided suggestions to the staff for improving certain areas.
Speaking with the girl students, she encouraged them to stay focused on their education and to be cautious in all aspects of life. She particularly advised them to avoid excessive use of mobile phones and to stay alert when approached by strangers or individuals making deceptive promises. She urged students to report any suspicious incidents to their teachers. She also stressed the importance of sports in schools and suggested that teachers promote physical and mental well-being alongside academics.
She further informed that additional building funds of ₹1.25 crore each have been sanctioned for Kasturba schools in Atmakur, Kurugunta, Kanaganapalli, Ramagiri, and Chennekothapalli. Construction work on these projects will begin soon, she said.
Highlighting the government's commitment to education, she said, 'This is a government that does not hesitate to spend on the education of the poor.' Despite financial constraints, she noted, the government has allocated thousands of crores for initiatives like the Thalliki Vandhanam scheme. She added that even remote rural areas are now seeing significant progress in educational infrastructure.

Infrastructure works worth ₹1,200 crore are under way, along with tourism projects, new roads, bridges, and skill hubs. District Collector P. Arun Babu, SP Kanchi Srinivasa Rao and other officials attended the event.

Women empowerment is our priority: Minister Bharath
Kurnool: The coalition government is committed to the all-round development of women, stated Industries Minister TG Bharath, while addressing a gathering the women undergoing tailoring training at KVR College campus in Kurnool on Monday. The Minister said that various welfare schemes are being implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. As part of this, from August 15, women in the State will be provided with free bus travel. He also emphasised that under 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme, financial assistance is being extended for the education of each child in a family. Speaking at a special event organised by women trainees marking nearing the completion of 100 days of training, Minister Bharath praised the success of tailoring programmes, citing a local family earning up to Rs 5 lakh per month through tailoring. He noted that women's apparel commands high market value and encouraged women to work hard with determination, highlighting that they could surpass their spouses or children in earnings. He also announced plans to offer doll-making skill training and facilitate tie-ups with companies to ensure trainees are gainfully employed. BC Corporation Executive Director Zakir Hussain informed that the government is currently offering basic tailoring training to 3,440 women from BC and EBC communities in the district. Those who maintain at least 75% attendance will receive a free tailor-model sewing machine. Top-performing women will also be given opportunities to pursue advanced courses in fashion designing. Naidu committed to uplift farming: Paritala Sunitha
Kanaganapalli: Raptadu MLA Paritala Sunitha reaffirmed that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, being a farmer's son, is deeply committed to agricultural welfare. Speaking at the Annadata Sukhibhava PM-KISAN 2025-26 event in Kanaganapalli mandal, she highlighted the government's unwavering efforts despite financial constraints. A mega cheque of Rs37 crore was symbolically distributed to 52,000 farmer families across six mandals in the Raptadu constituency. District Collector TN Chetan, Dharmavaram RDO Mahesh, and several public representatives were present. MLA Sunitha noted that under the scheme, farmers received Rs7,000 in the first phase, and will receive Rs7,000 and Rs6,000 in the subsequent phases. She assured that delays in payment due to technical issues will soon be addressed. Reflecting on past struggles, she praised the Handri-Neeva project for transforming Raptadu from barren to fertile lands. She also urged the District Collector to fast-track compensation for farmers who gave land for the Peruru Reservoir Project, initiated at Rs803 crore under the previous TDP government. Further, she requested revision of the 7-year restriction on drip irrigation subsidies, sanction of 2,000 acres under NREGS plantations, and 200 Gokulam sheds. In a symbolic tribute, a local farmer performed navadhanya abhishekam to Naidu's portrait. Later, MLA Sunitha and officials inspected the unfinished Goru Chikkudu processing unit near Daduluru. She urged its repurposing for agricultural use, to which the Collector responded positively.
