In the forum 'r/delta' on Reddit, the post was titled, 'Dudes and their nasty cologne,' as the user shared that he or she was on a flight from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Atlanta, Georgia.
'GUYS … You do not need to wear buckets of cologne before boarding a plane. The preferred amount would be zero. People are allergic,' wrote the user.
The person continued, 'Honestly, it's wholly inconsiderate to wear anything super strong in cramped spaces.'
Reddit users took to the comments section to share their thoughts about various smells on planes.

Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog 'View From the Wing,' told Fox News Digital that passengers should be mindful of others.

'Passengers have a zone of personal space on the plane that roughly corresponds to the area of their seat,' said Leff.
'Within that space, there are all [types] of behavior that might come under criticism (usually in the realm of personal hygiene and grooming), but it really comes down to the discretion of the individual,' he added.
Leff said that with airflow and filtration, smells, sprays, or perfumes can be spread throughout the cabin.

Transat shares leap after restructure of hefty pandemic debt
MONTREAL — Transat AT Inc. shares jumped 14 per cent in mid-afternoon trading Thursday after the travel company announced major restructuring of pandemic-era debt. The Montreal-based company, which owns Air Transat, says it has cut its outstanding debt with a federal Crown corporation by more than half to $334 million as part of the agreement. Transat says it will pay off $41.4 million in cash, consolidate part of its credit into a single $175-million facility and issue a $158.8-million debenture to a Canada Development Investment Corp. subsidiary. Transat will also issue the federal entity $16.3 million in shares for a 19.9 per cent stake in the company under a debt-for-equity swap. ATB Capital Markets analyst Chris Murray says the debt restructure comes on "highly favourable terms" for Transat, given the red ink on its balance sheet. Transat was one of several airline outfits to take advantage of federal aid packages during the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw border closures and health restrictions wreak havoc on carrier earnings. It's a statistical fact that warm weather makes people want to buy barbecue foods. And Yelp knows exactly where you should go to get it. Yelp compiled a list of the top cities in the U.S. for "smoked meats and mouth-watering barbecue sauces." It explained in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure that it created the list by ranking each location using a "blended metric including consumer interest in BBQ, total business count, and average business rating." It noted that it limited this year's list to two cities per state to "ensure geographic diversity." After looking at all the data, unsurprisingly, Austin won. "Austin reigns supreme as the No. 1 region for barbecue," Yelp shared. "Whether you like slow-smoked beef brisket, pork ribs, or house-made sausages, Austin has earned its reputation as a top barbecue destination." It noted that Austin has earned this reputation thanks to beloved spots like Terry Black's Barbecue and food trucks like Micklethwait Craft Meat in East Austin, which both earn high praise from Yelp users. Some parents get an unwanted surprise before a family trip when they learn that child passports have a short validity window. Child passports are only valid for five years, compared to a 10-year validity span for adult passports. Experts recommend that parents or guardians renew their child's passport every three and a half planning an international trip may want to carefully check their child's passport expiration many travelers understand that a regular United States passport is valid for 10 years, the policy isn't the same for a child's passport. In fact, the U.S. Department of State, which manages the passport process, states that passports for children under the age of 16 are valid for half of the normal term: just five years. The State Department has a helpful checklist for parents who are in the process of replacing or obtaining a first-time passport for a child under the age of 16. "Both parents or guardians must approve that we can issue a passport to a child, and go with the child to apply in person," the State Department's website explains. The policy further explains that renewals cannot be completed through the DS-82 form, and instead have to be processed as new passports. The current processing time for a routine passport application is four to six weeks, and expedited service takes two to three weeks. For many families, the five-year expiration can cause panic and disruption before flights. Another family described the "urgent situation" in which their vacation to Punta Cana was completely ruined when they realized their child's passport was two months expired, sharing in another Reddit post, 'we had to rebook and make an appointment for expedited passport renewal at a passport agency, this sucks!' Frequent travelers may also consider applying for a Global Entry membership for their child, which can provide expedited airport security screening.
