'Start over': Samantha Armytage shares cryptic love quote that proves she's ready to move on after split from husband Richard Lavender - just weeks after cosying up to new 'wingman'

Sky News AU29-04-2025

Samantha Armytage has shared a cryptic quote about love that suggests she's ready to move on after splitting from husband Richard Lavender last December.
The former Sunrise host took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share a picturesque photo of docked boats at Sydney's harbourside with the caption: "When the rain stops, and the sun comes out".
The 48-year-old accompanied her words with the emoji of two palms, which typically symbolises receiving something and expressing gratitude.
"Don't be afraid to start over again; you may like your new story better," she added.
Armytage likely shared the cryptic message from the set of the Nine Network's new dating show The Golden Bachelor, which is the host of.
The Golden Bachelor is a new twist on the popular Bachelor dating franchise and will see a group of older Australians competing for the hearts of Barry 'Bear' Myrden, a widower in his 50s from Manly.
It comes after Armytage was spotted arm in arm with new "wingman", fashion designer Jonathan Ward at Royal Randwick merely weeks ago.
Ward took to Instagram to post a photo of the pair at the races together and revealed Armytage invited him to accompany her on the day.
"Very special to be the guest and wingman for my gorgeous friend Sam at the Autumn Carnival Derby Day Royal Randwick @sam_armytage #royalrandwickracecourse," the couture designer of more than three decades wrote in the caption.
In the happy snap, Armytage donned a silk cream angle-length skirt, which she matched with a white shirt, polka dot tie, and black fascinator.
Sam completed her chic ensemble with gold hoops, black pumps and a matching clutch.
It's understood Armytage and Ward have been friends for some years and were spotted having lunch with Lavender at China Doll restaurant in the Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo in 2021.
Pictures obtained by Daily Mail at the time show the trio joked between mouthfuls of San Choy Bow.
Armytage, at one point, looked elated as she was seen laughing at something Jonathan told her.
The breakfast TV star shared another hopeful post about love earlier this year, which could have been interpreted as the first sign the TV presenter was on the path to finding romance again.
"When there's a lovely little sign from the universe," Armytage wrote a photo of the heart-shaped milk art at the bottom of her empty coffee mug on her Instagram Stories in January.
In a statement to the Daily Telegraph in December, Armytage announced her split from Lavender after four years of marriage.
'Yes, Richard and I have separated. All breakups are hard, but it's somewhat lessened by the fact it's amicable, and we wish the best for each other,' she said.
'I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won't be making any further comment.'
The move shocked some industry insiders after the TV host herself told Woman's Day she quit hosting the Seven Network's breakfast show program to live at his 40-hectare estate in NSW's Southern Highlands in 2021.

Channing Tatum's Aussie girlfriend models naked in Bali

Inka Williams has no doubt left new boyfriend Channing Tatum lost for words after sharing snaps from an ethereal photoshoot in which she posed naked. The Melbourne-born but Bali-raised model left little to the imagination in a recent dump of stunning images posted to her Instagram. The 25-year-old channelled her inner Greek goddess for the oceanic-themed photoshoot with her long-time friend, photographer Amberly Valentine, behind the camera in the Bali studio. In one photo, Williams went nude with nothing but a sheer, cream sheet of material that was draped over the front of her body and flowed behind her. Another risque image showed the brunette relaxing in water while wearing another sheer outfit that clung to her naked body. Inka Williams' recent photoshoot in Bali. Credit: Supplied Fellow Australians and fans took to the comments section of the post in awe of her beauty. Artist Mahinanani Alexander said: 'Absolutely stunning. You two always make magic🙌😍.' Williams seemingly took influencer Tammy Hembrow's breath away, commenting with the single word: 'Wow.' One fan questioned: 'Is the studio on top of Mount Olympus??' 'These are some of the prettiest photos I've ever seen 😍 obsessed with the shell one,' another fan said. 'The seashell shots are absolutely stunning, but they're all so ethereal, and you look like a goddess,' a third added. Williams has made headlines of late after she was rumoured to be dating Hollywood heavyweight Channing Tatum, who called off his engagement with Zoe Kravitz in October. A few months later, Tatum stepped out with Williams at a pre-Oscars party, which seemingly confirmed the actor had moved on. In April, Williams confirmed the relationship on Instagram by wishing Tatum a happy birthday. 'Happy life to the handsomest, kindest, funniest, stoopidest, most gorgeous human ever !!!' she wrote in an Instagram Story that included nine photos of the couple together. 'Merci for making life beautiful and fun.' She ended her post with some French slang that translates to 'I love you' in English: 'Jtm trop fort.' Williams, who co-founded fashion brand She Is I in 2019, has been modelling since was a baby but turned the hobby into a career at the age of 15. She is signed to IMG Models, which describes Williams as someone who is 'fashion savvy' and has 'chameleon-like flexibility'.
