As many as 55 petitions regarding bank loans, certificates, scholarships and NEET training programmes were represented during the meeting. There are nearly 175 colleges in the district that cover all streams of arts, engineering, medical and law, but not many are aware of the details.' He said a handbook released during the 'Kalloori Kanavu' programme provided detailed information on colleges and courses available, duration of courses, eligibility, total number of seats and other significant details. 'The details are available in copy as well,' he said. The collector said not many students are aware of the Allied Health Science course available and that it has a lot of opportunities. However, to pursue that course, the students should have cleared a science major in Class XII board examination. He advised them to have a vision of the placements and career opportunities ahead of graduation. Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Eid wishes , messages , and quotes !
