Trisha Paytas Almost Named Her Baby 'Water Snake'
Water Snake.
This name comes from a poem written by Trisha's husband Moses Hacmon. As she put it on the podcast, Just Trish, "I will say my number one that we were so close to naming the baby is not a movie poster, but I loved it so much. It's Moses' poem 'Water Snake.'"
"I love 'Water Snake,'" Trisha added. "It's the Year of the Snake, Moses is a snake. We love water. I loved Water World. I loved the name Water. At the end of the day, Moses loves water, I've adopted his philosophy."
Other contenders? "I did love Moses Jr. too," Trisha said. "I really love that too. And I liked Aladdin. It wasn't water-themed, but I always loved Aladdin. Moses hated that. He vetoed Paper Man and Aladdin. pretty quick, so we switched."
As for how they settled on Aquaman, the Celebrity Big Brother U.K. star said "I've been wearing Aquaman T-shirts for years, since 2017 when the first Justice League came out. I have gone to so many Comic Cons for Aquaman. And I really fell in love when we rewatched Aquaman."
"He's of two heritages, like our baby," Trisha explained. "He connects the land and sea, which is Moses' order at Benihana. He can talk telepathically to fish. He's also blonde and brunette, which—plot twist: our Aquaman has blonde hair."

James Gunn Reveals What Peacemaker S1E1 Scene Isn't Canon to DCU
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has confirmed which scene from the first episode of Peacemaker Season 1 won't be canon to the DC Universe. This comes ahead of the John Cena-led DCU series' HBO Max return on August 21 for its long-awaited second season. Peacemaker is created, written, and directed by Gunn, who also serves as its showrunner. Season 2 will feature the return of Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. Joining them are new cast members Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. Which Peacemaker Season 1 scene isn't canon to the DCU? In the debut episode of the Peacemaker Podcast, Gunn shared some new behind-the-scenes stories and interesting details from Peacemaker Season 1 Episode 1. One of these details includes clarifying which scene from the episode was going to change due to the DCU. When asked about the opening scene from the first episode, which featured Cena's Peacemaker hilariously arguing with a hospital worker about Aquaman, Gunn confirmed that fans will have to disregard the scene since Aquaman won't be a famous superhero during the current timeline of his DCU. 'One of the things that people are most confused by, as Peter Safran and I took over DC is, what is part of the DCU? This is the world that Superman lives in. This is the world that the Creature Commandos lives in. Up until this point, those are the only two things that are fully 100% canon. And the same thing is going to be true about Peacemaker Season 2. It's fully 100% canon in the DC, but we did have to go back and change a few things from Season 1,' Gunn clarified. 'Is Aquaman canon? We don't know. But my guess, I don't think Aquaman's canon. It's unlikely that Aquaman is a famous hero in the DCU as Superman and Peacemaker Season 2 is happening. That's unlikely. But other than that, I really think everything in this episode, I think, is canon.' (Source: Threads) Solve the daily Crossword

James Gunn Confirms Aquaman's Status in the DCU – 'You Can Cut Out Aquaman F–ing Fish' — GeekTyrant
James Gunn has cleared up one of the lingering questions fans have had about the new DCU, like what's the deal with Aquaman? During a recent discussion on Peacemaker: The Official Podcast, the Superman director and DC Studios co-CEO revealed where Arthur Curry stands in his rebooted universe, and let's just say things aren't looking great for the King of Atlantis. Jason Momoa first made his debut as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice back in 2016, before taking on a larger role in 2017's Justice League . Despite that film's rocky reception, Momoa's solo outing in 2018's Aquaman was a massive success, hauling in $1.1 billion worldwide. Unfortunately, the tides turned with the sequel. Released in 2023 as the final film of the DCEU, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom pulled in only $440 million globally, which was a sharp decline that cemented the franchise's uncertain future. For those wondering what might have been, the DCEU had big potential storylines ahead, including a possible Flashpoint adaptation that would have pitted Atlantis against Themyscira and likely set up Crisis on Infinite Earths . Instead, the old continuity has been scrapped for Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe. So where does that leave Aquaman now? According to Gunn, the character's celebrity status in the DCU doesn't really exist. 'It's unlikely that Aquaman is a famous hero in the DCU as Superman and Peacemaker season 2 are happening. That's unlikely,' Gunn confirmed. He even joked that fans could create their own revised version of Peacemaker season 1 to fit the new canon: 'You can cut out Aquaman f***ing fish.' This is a reference to the running joke in Peacemaker where Christopher Smith constantly claimed Aquaman had an intimate relationship with sea life. The Season 1 finale paid off the gag with a surprise cameo from Momoa alongside Ezra Miller's Flash, where Aquaman flat-out denied the accusation. While that scene was hilarious, Gunn made it clear it's no longer canon under the DCU. As for when we'll see Aquaman again, Gunn has said it won't be anytime soon.
