UK viewers escape the heat and binge legendary series free on YouTube
What better way to escape the scorching temperatures hitting the country this weekend by watching other people experiencing the same thing? Sounds perfect to us.
Hopefully it should also help to soften the devastating blow that the serial drama wrapped production today.
It really is the end of an era, and the third time in 40 years that the cameras have stopped rolling – though it looks unlikely that there will be any chance of a revival after Amazon Prime Video pulled the plug.
The streaming giant not only owns the rights to make new episodes, but also host an archive of classic episodes, as well as every instalment from 2012 onwards.
Whether or not the serial will remain on the platform after the finale on 11th December remains to be seen, but for now, grieving viewers can take some comfort in the fact distributors Fremantle Media have began daily uploads on video sharing site YouTube.
The Neighbours Classics channel is currently up to episode 595, which aired on 9th October 1987 in its home country, and on 2nd February 1989 in the UK.
A more contemporary offering is hosted by the Neighbours Ramsay St channel, which is currently on episode 7065, from 2015.
There hasn't been much fanfare about the new additions, though it hasn't took long for those dedicated to the show to track them down.
'I really wish I hadn't seen this. There goes my social life,' said one on Reddit.
'Hopefully they keep going,' said another.
A third added: 'This is great hopefully they show every old ep.'
There's some good news if you're fancying a nostalgic binge watch from the start – it's instantly familiar as the show that has gone on to become a global phenomenon.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) is roaming Ramsay Street, while his mate Shane Ramsay (Peter O'Brien) – who recently returned – lives next door.
Things were a lot simpler in 1985, with just three families creating the drama. There was no Lassiters Complex or hotel, as they didn't arrive until the following year.
We're first introduced to Shane's younger brother Danny (David Clencie), who is suffering intense nightmares about his brother's diving career, becoming a huge concern for parents Max (Francis Bell) and Maria (Dasha Blahova).
In No. 26, cheeky chappy Paul (yes, there were days before he was a ruthless businessman) lives with dad Jim (Alan Dale), grandmother Helen Daniels (Anne Haddy) and his siblings Julie (Vikki Blanche), Scott (Darius Perkins) and Lucy (Kylie Flinker).
It wouldn't be until episode 188 that Jason Donovan would take over the role of Scott, making him one of Neighbours' most iconic characters.

Despite that, executive producer Jason Herbsion recently ruled out his return in the next finale, following on from his much-hyped reappearance in 2022.

Vintage episodes can be watched now on the Neighbours Classics and Neighbours Ramsay St YouTube channels, with new episodes streaming Monday to Thursday from 7am on Amazon Prime Video.

Being in a hotel room at the Edinburgh Fringe with 20 strangers might sound odd to some, slightly exciting to a few, but to me, it sounded like a once-in-a-lifetime luxury. Especially compared to the accommodation Hunger Games that usually unfold during the festival. That's the kind of cut-throat housing competition that sees improv troupes battling it out for a chance to stay in Gladys's airing cupboard in Leith (story for another time). So when I heard that 38-year-old Harriet Kemsley was hosting guests in her hotel room as part of her new show, In Bed With…Harriet Kemsley, I knew I had to be there to witness the magic for myself. After all, it's not every day a comedian invites you upstairs… Fresh off the back of her appearance on Amazon Prime Video's Last One Laughing UK, which drew 6.1million viewers and became one of the streamer's most-watched original shows, Kemsley returned to the Fringe with a lot to live up to after making it mainstream. Down a cobbled street, the show was held at the Hotel Indigo, York Place, where I'd been invited to stay for the weekend. On the morning of the performance, I headed down for breakfast (of course, the full Edinburgh, haggis and all), and as I took my first sip of black coffee, still half-asleep, I heard the familiar shuffle of sliders on polished floorboards. I looked up, and there she was: Kemsley herself, settling at the table next to mine. At first, I wondered: Is this part of the show? An immersive, day-long experience where she roams the halls, joins guests for breakfast, and debates the appropriate shade of a cup of tea? Sadly not. She was simply grabbing a vegetarian full English before service wrapped up, but a boy can dream. Regardless, my excitement to head upstairs to her hotel room had officially peaked. Hours later, Harriet did, in fact, take me back to her hotel room – along with 19 other eager strangers – for what turned out to be the most unexpectedly cosy, clever and personal set I've seen at the Fringe. I didn't know what to expect. After all, if she could fire ping pong balls from her nether regions at Daisy May Cooper and Richard Ayoade on national television, what on earth might she do in a hotel room? (Get your head out of the gutter.) Inside, she was perched cross-legged on a double bed, framed by four plush pillows and tucked beneath crisp white hotel linens, the kind you have to foot wrestle with on night one. If I'm being honest, I'd walked the corridor in single file with the rest of the audience, feeling a tad apprehensive. But once inside, the room transformed into something familiar and warm. It felt like heading into your friend's bedroom the morning after a big night out for a debrief. She held court, and we, her devoted subjects. I knew I was about to see something special. The irony of a stand-up show performed entirely sitting down was enough to make me chuckle, but the material stood entirely on its own. The tight, half-hour set delivered joke after joke, and I found myself laughing in a way that made me sympathise with her Last One Laughing co-stars. Covering the trials of being newly single following her 2024 divorce from fellow comedian Bobby Mair, Kemsley's authority and authenticity were magnetic. From navigating an amicable split and re-entering the dating world, to choking on Lego, knees pressed against the edge of the 'stage' (aka the bed), I was witnessing a seasoned pro at work, one who knows her voice and what resonates. Winning over the nation on television is one thing. Translating that energy into a tiny hotel room for a dozen people is another entirely. It was a masterclass in intimacy and comedic control. A Fringe and comedy veteran, Kemsley began her stand-up career in 2011, quickly rising through the ranks. She's long been outspoken about the challenges the Edinburgh Fringe poses to emerging performers. In an Instagram post following her 2022 show Honeysuckle Island, she described the Fringe as 'really weird and sometimes not in a good way,' commenting on the 'horrible pressure' placed on artists, and advocating for the Festival to be a space for experimentation and fun. Speaking with her after the show, she reflected on being in a 'lucky position now', free from some of the pressures she faced early on, but was quick to stress that more support is still needed for newcomers. Specifically, how the financial strain of coming to the Fringe often shuts out underrepresented voices, meaning it's usually the same kinds of acts that can afford to take the risk. Part of that support, she said, is as simple as showing up. Seeing new performers. Filling seats. More Trending Over a drink in Indigo's newly refurbished bar and lounge, Kemsley rattled off timings, venues and names like a living, breathing Fringe encyclopaedia. She insisted I see Sharon Wanjohi's In the House – which I did, and was utterly obsessed with. (Seriously, don't miss it if you're heading up this month.) While financial support for artists at the Fringe still lags where it should be, I left feeling quietly hopeful. With voices like Kemsley's leading the conversation, change feels not just possible but probable. Here's hoping next year brings even more hotel room performances, just maybe not in Gladys's airing cupboard (as I said, story for another time). Got a story? Wedding guests watch 'screaming match' after bride slams guest's dress
One bride's special day took a turn for the worse when she ended up in an argument over a guest's dress No bride wants to feel upstaged on her wedding day. Yet, that's exactly how one newlywed felt after seeing her cousin's wedding day outfit. According to the wedding guest, the bride confronted her and they ended up in a 'screaming match'. Despite this, people are siding with the cousin after seeing the dress she wore to the occasion, which she revealed when she shared what happened in a Reddit post. Taking to social media, the cousin claimed: "I wore a sky blue cocktail dress to the wedding because it was a beach wedding so I thought it would be nice to wear that, but my cousin got mad. "She accused me of trying to one up her in her own wedding and trying to steal the attention. My aunt told her to calm down and said that it's just a dress and it's not like I'm wearing a white dress to the wedding. I'm not even wearing a necklace, earrings and heels either since my cousin would think I'm trying to one up her." Unfortunately, the family could not resolve the conflict. "It became a screaming match and my aunty, uncle and my cousin's partner had to pull her away because she wouldn't stop yelling at me. I went home to avoid drama." She added: "My parents and siblings asked why I wasn't there and I told them what happened. They were mostly on my side but they didn't want to get involved and I can't blame them." However, she did want to know if anyone else thought she was in the wrong for wearing a 'sky blue dress' and took to Imgur to share a photo of the midi dress, which had an A-line silhouette and thin shoulder straps. Reacting to the post, commenters struggled to see the issue, as many thought the dress looked nothing like a wedding gown. Someone replied: "I can't imagine what other dress would be more perfect or appropriate to wear. Like it's a very decent semi-modest dress with the longer length, cute, blue like the ocean." Another response said: "That dress is literally a basic beach wedding guest dress. If that was enough to set her off, she was looking for a reason to be mad. You didn't wear white, didn't overdress, didn't show up in heels and diamonds. A different commenter agreed: "If that's the dress, I can't see a single thing wrong with it. It's so obviously not white and it probably was not even part of the bridal party's colors. "I see no harm. It was perfectly appropriate for a beach wedding," while a reader added: "The bride was worried that a pale blue dress would photograph as white. It happens. "Still, she was out of line. No one would confuse you with the bride on the actual day. If the dress does appear white in photos, she can just edit you out. Problem solved."

Woman storms out of husband's birthday dinner after his sick infertility joke
The couple, who have been married for five years, have been struggling to start a family together - making the husband's 'joke' all the more upsetting for his wife A woman has spoken of her devastation after her husband made a joke about her infertility in front of their friends. In a now-deleted post on Reddit, the 29-year-old revealed that she and her husband of five years had been trying to have a baby together for some time - but that she was struggling to conceive. She took to Reddit to explain what had happened and reach out for advice. It comes after a woman claimed 'I regret marrying an older man, one part of our history has given me the ick'. The wife wrote: "Last weekend, I organised a small birthday dinner for him with close friends and family. Everything was going well until someone asked when we were planning to start a family. Before I could even respond, my husband laughed and said, 'Well, if her ovaries ever wake up from their nap, maybe next year.' "Everyone laughed. I didn't. I just sat there frozen and then excused myself to the restroom," she continued. "I ended up texting my sister to pick me up and went home. He came home a couple of hours later furious that I 'ruined his birthday' and was 'embarrassing him in front of his friends.'" He also told her that she "needs to learn how to take a joke and stop making everything about me". The woman said his joke had "cut deep," especially "since he knows how hard this journey has been for me". And the Reddit community were quick to show their support. "It would be very difficult for me to imagine risking my health, sanity, and a 20 year connection to a man like that by having his child. Maybe some marriage counseling first. You should always pay attention to things said in jokes, anger, or drunk. It will tell you exactly what someone really thinks." It comes after a woman reached out for advice after discovering her husband had been making inappropriate jokes to a female colleague. In a post on Mumsnet, the woman fumed: "My husband has a female friend at work that he is close to. They call on Zoom, often text outside of work, and meet up for lunch (only during work hours apparently). She is also married with kids and is very attractive. "I have seen some messages and they seem flirty. He's bragged about his baggage size and joked about her fancying him although she's never said she has. I told him it was bang out of order and he said it was harmless, but that he would create more boundaries with her. This was a while back now. "Recently, she's been off sick for a while and he messages her regularly and calls her up at least once a week, and their conversations last over an hour sometimes. He's telling me to relax and that he's doing nothing wrong, that they're good friends and as I also have male friends, I should be more understanding." The woman asked for advice from other Mumsnet users as she said she felt as though her husband was "gaslighting" her and denying that he "has feelings for this woman". Commenters on the post were quick to side with her. One person said: "It's very disrespectful behaviour, there is no need for him to carry this on knowing it's bothering you. Tell him to stop this friendship or lose his wife."
