Olympic champion Adam Peaty received rousing support from his soon-to-be father-in-law Gordon Ramsay whilst tackling a punishing triathlon as part of the celebrity chef's family squad on Sunday.
The 30 year old swimming sensation - boasting three gold and three silver Olympic medals - was taking on his maiden triathlon but enjoyed tremendous backing from the entire 'Team Ramsay' contingent during the T100 Triathlon World Tour at London's Royal Victoria Dock.
Peaty is betrothed to Ramsay's daughter Holly, with the pair planning to wed later this year, and his bride-to-be was amongst those rallying him on at the venue alongside his four year old lad George.
Joining him in the epic challenge was his prospective mother-in-law Tana, plus Ramsay's other daughters Megan and Tilly and his son Jack. Additional famous faces participating included McFly's drummer Harry Judd and former racing driver turned broadcaster and Ironman Billy Monger.
Nevertheless, 58 year old Ramsay couldn't compete himself owing to stitches on his cheek, so assumed cheerleading duties on medical advice, reports Wales Online.
The demanding event encompasses a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 18km run, with an exhausted Peaty completing the course in 2:34:37 before a beaming Ramsay embraced him whilst the Olympian battled to regain his composure.
Holly and George also offered their congratulations, with the youngster planting a big kiss on his father after brandishing a placard declaring: "I love you. Go Daddy". "Toughest challenge I've ever faced," Peaty confessed following the competition, though he insisted he would "100% do it again."
The swimming sensation and Holly made their relationship official in 2023 and revealed their engagement last year, with Ramsay accidentally spilling the beans about their upcoming nuptials scheduled for late 2025.
"It's going to be a Christmas wedding," the celebrity chef disclosed during his stint on The Jonathan Ross Show. "They're looking at areas and venues and lots of planning."
Expressing his wholehearted approval of the three-time Olympic gold medallist, Ramsay proclaimed that he and Tana "couldn't ask for anyone better" as their future son-in-law.
"He's a very nice guy," he commented. "He's so down to earth and so focused and disciplined.
"He sat us down in Cornwall and he said 'Holly is just the perfect woman. I'd like to get your blessing - from you and Tana for her hand in marriage'. It was that sort of amazing moment. Everything went quiet.
"As a future son-in-law, we couldn't ask for anyone better. He's so grounded. Those two get on so well. It's a blessing."
With their festive ceremony rapidly approaching, Holly has disclosed that her father will be taking charge of the catering on their special day.
"Oh my goodness, he's been so excited from the beginning," she shared with Closer Magazine. "We always talked about him doing the food."
When they announced their engagement last year, Holly took to Instagram to share her joy: "I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you.
"Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you and I cannot wait to be your wife."
On the other hand, Peaty expressed his excitement: "I can't believe you're going to be my wife. I'm truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace."
He added: "Your family have always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can't wait to be joined with them too."

Olympic medallists facing ban after being charged with CHEATING in bizarre controversy

Two Olympic ski jumping medallists are facing a potential ban after being charged with cheating in a controversial case that could affect their participation at next year's Milan Cortina Games. Olympic champion Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang, bronze medallist at the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang, had their ski suits tampered with and were caught during the World Championships in Norway in March. An investigation by the International Ski Federation, the sport's worldwide governing body, alleges the Norwegian athletes' teams had broken the rules by reinforcing the thread in their jumpsuits in an attempt to create more lift in the air. Lindvik and Forfang had been disqualified from the men's large hill competition following an equipment inspection at the World Ski Championships in Trondheim. Jan-Erik Aalbu, the Norwegian ski federation's general manager, admitted they had 'tried to cheat the system' in a scandal which sent shockwaves through the country, which prides itself on its success in winter sports. Head coach Magnus Brevik, assistant coach Thomas Lobben and service staff member Adrian Livelten have also been charged. The two athletes' ski suits had allegedly been tampered with in a scandal that has sent shockwaves through sport in Norway Lindvik and Forfang were both provisionally suspended pending the investigation, which has now concluded. Their exact punishments are not yet known but the charges come with less than six months until the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Aalbu now claims the two athletes were unaware of the tampering. 'We have listened to our athletes and believe them when they say they did not know about the manipulation of the ski suits,' Aalbu said.

Gordon Ramsay makes his true feelings known towards future son-in-law Adam Peaty

Olympic swimming legend Adam Peaty took on his toughest challenge yet, with future father-in-law Gordon Ramsay in full support. On Sunday, the 30-year-old pushed through a brutal triathlon, surrounded by a very famous cheer squad. The Strictly Come Dancing star, who has six Olympic medals under his belt, dived into his first-ever triathlon as part of the T100 Triathlon World Tour. Unsurprisingly, he was surrounded by his biggest supporters both in and out of the water as 'Team Ramsay' were on hand for the event. His fiancée, Holly Ramsay, was there to cheer him on, along with his young son George, who beamed with pride throughout the day. The Ramsay family was out in full force – Holly's mum, Tana, and siblings Megan, Tilly, and Jack all participated in the event alongside him. Gordon, 58, had hoped to take part himself but was benched by doctors after getting stitches in his cheek – but he more than made up for it with enthusiastic sideline support. It was a big day filled with famous faces, with McFly drummer Harry Judd and former racing driver Billy Monger also among the competitors. The triathlon was no joke – a 2km swim, an 80km cycle, and an 18km run made up the punishing course. Adam powered through and crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 37 seconds, collapsing into a hug from his proud loved ones. Moments after the triathlon ended, George ran up to his dad with a handmade sign that read 'I love you. Go Daddy', and gave him a kiss. Holly was glowing with pride as her future husband caught his breath. 'That was the hardest thing I've ever done,' Adam said afterwards, before adding: 'I'd 100% do it again.' Reflecting on the experience, he later shared on Instagram: 'Before this I never raced for more than a few minutes, never swam open water, never raced on a bike or had ever done a 10km run with people of all paces around me. Glad I got all of those ticked off today.' Adam's relationship with Holly began in 2023, and the Olympian popped the question last Autumn. While the couple initially kept things quiet, it was Gordon who let the wedding plans slip during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show. 'It's going to be a Christmas wedding,' he said, revealing they'd already started scouting venues and making arrangements. The celebrity chef went on to praise Adam, calling him a down-to-earth, driven man and the ideal match for his daughter. Gordon shared that Adam had asked for his and Tana's blessing during a family trip to Cornwall, describing the moment as emotional and unforgettable. 'As a future son-in-law, we couldn't ask for better,' he continued, clearly touched by the swimmer's sincerity. The feeling is mutual, as Adam has spoken openly about how welcomed he feels by the Ramsay family. And yes, Gordon is already planning the wedding menu – something Holly says he has been excited about from day one. 'He's definitely taking charge of the food,' she told Closer Magazine, laughing about her dad's enthusiasm for the big day. Holly first shared news of their engagement with an emotional Instagram post, calling Adam her 'best friend' and saying she still remembers the smile she had after their first date. She thanked him for making her feel 'loved, seen and happier than ever' and said she couldn't wait to become his wife. Adam posted his own heartfelt message soon after, calling Holly 'gentle, caring and beautiful,' and saying he felt like the luckiest man alive. More Trending He also spoke about how close he's become to her family, describing their warmth, support, and generosity as something he's incredibly grateful for. Now, with wedding bells ringing this Christmas and triathlon medals added to his collection, Adam seems to be entering a brand new chapter – on both the podium and in his personal life. Between gruelling training, new athletic goals, and a growing family, he has embracing it all with humility and heart.
