Telford Steam Railway celebrates station reopening
The Lawley Village station was not an original station and was created by the railway in 2015, so the day will also mark the 10th anniversary of its opening.Richard Owen, a spokesperson for the railway, said it is unclear why the platform moved but that it was built on clay soil which could have shifted because of rainfall. He said the operation to repair and secure it had been a big one, made more difficult because it is next to a large housing development at Lawley. But it was not an expensive project because they used volunteer labour and materials they already had.The day of celebration on Sunday will include free travel on the railway for Lawley and Horsehay residents, along with entertainment that includes a brass band and a steam tram demonstration. The railway has become well-known locally for its Polar Express experiences at Christmas which have brought in a large income.Mr Owen said some of that money had been used to buy more track and extend the line to Doseley. After that, he said the "dream" was to eventually extend it to Buildwas.

Three Hollyoaks legends set to return after decades off-screen as soap brings back 90s stars for 30th anniversary
After decades off-screen these stars are coming back to celebrate the show's landmark birthday in style LOOK WHO'S BACK Three Hollyoaks legends set to return after decades off-screen as soap brings back 90s stars for 30th anniversary Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HOLLYOAKS is set to welcome back three iconic stars for its 30th anniversary – and it could mean something major in store for a fan favourite. The series is gearing up to mark its anniversary in style, and as part of it, familiar faces from the show's history will be popping up to check in on the village. And all three have connections to long-standing resident, Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard). A source told The Sun Online: 'They were all hugely popular characters in the 90s and had to be a part of the anniversary. 'Hollyoaks might have a lot of younger viewers now but bosses really wanted to remember the 90s roots, so there's set to be some real nostalgia coming up.' The stars have already begun filming their scenes. Hollyoaks declined to comment when approached by The Sun Online. During their time on Hollyoaks, all three became central to major storylines that defined the show as a soap for younger audiences – especially when it came to Tony. It's been years since any of the characters have appeared in the Hollyoaks world, although Redmond has repeatedly reprised his role of Finn for guest stints to mark special occasions. Arriving on the show as a free-spirited heartthrob in 1998, Finn became close friends with Tony Hutchinson, even going into business together. While he left in 2002, he later returned for a stint in after-watershed spin-off Hollyoaks Later, the 20th anniversary in 2015, and again for Christmas in 2017. His last appearance was in 2018, when Finn left for Margate after taking the fall for Cindy Cunningham (Steph Waring) stealing £10,000 for the purchase of a restaurant. Natalie Casey's Carol arrived on the soap in 1996, but hasn't been seen since 2000. She also had close ties to both Finn and particularly Tony, with whom she had a will they/won't they relationship. Eventually, she left to perform on cruise ships, confessing her feelings to Tony before she did so in special Hollyoaks: Boys Do Barca. Finally, Dominic (played by Nick Pickard's real-life brother, John) is Tony's half-brother, and appeared on screen from 2005 to 2010. 7 Tony is a long-standing favourite on the soap Credit: Lime Pictures 7 Finn is Tony's best friend and business partner Credit: Lime Pictures 7 Carol went abroad to live her dreams of being a singer Credit: Mersey Television During that time, the character was seen trying to build a relationship with his estranged sibling. However, their relationship collapsed when he believed he burned down Tony's restaurant, Il Gnosh, at the request of gangster Warren Fox. While it was later revealed it was not him, he had already confessed and not believed, so was left to serve out his sentence. After prison, Dom appeared in a series of Hollyoaks Later alongside Tony and Finn, and was living in Spain – sending the trio on a wild adventure as they ran into a mobster The White Man, played by Danny Dyer.

A source told Daily Mail: "Olivia could have died during birth if it wasn't for the incredible team at her local hospital. "She lost nearly three litres of blood needing an urgent blood transfusion and emergency c-section." Thankfully, the procedure was successful, with baby Siena born safely and Olivia now recovering form the birth. On Monday, the couple shared a first look at the tot with pictures online – including shots of their protective three-year-old son Abel kissing baby Siena's head. Olivia and Alex first met on Love Island in 2016, coming second place to Cara De la Hoyde and Nathan Massey. They married in 2018, and welcomed their baby boy Abel in June 2022. The couple announced they were expecting their second child at the beginning of this year with a sweet video showing the positive pregnancy test and scans as they celebrated Christmas. Just last month Olivia showed off her blossoming bump at the Rehab hair event, alongside Stacey Solomon and Sam Thompson. Olivia exclusively told The Sun about her pregnancy: "It's different, it's a lot harder because I had a three-year-old to look after at the same time, before all I had to worry about was myself, so it's very different. Love Island's Olivia Bowen breaks down in tears and says she was 'floored' after losing twin baby in heartbreaking miscarriage "It's really rewarding and so lovely to see how excited Abel is to have a baby sister, he always talks about it. "Alex is doing good, he's always wanted a little girl, so he's really happy about that - we're just both really but it's just hard work. "We already have a name for her. I liked Hattie, but Alex did not. We really liked Darcy. But we have picked one - I got Alex a Father's Day present with the name and there's a few reasons why we've picked it." In August this year, it was announced Olivia and Alex had landed their own ITV reality show, called Olivia and Alex: Parenthood. The series is set to follow the pair as they grow their family and expected the arrival of baby Siena. It is not known if the birth, or the complications surrounding it, will be featured in the series. 6 The pair also announced the baby's name in a series of personal photos Credit: oliviadbowen/Instagram 6 Olivia and Alex met on Love Island back in 2016 Credit: Rex
