As the 2025 NFL season looms, Josh Allen finds himself under a microscope bigger than ever before. He may be the reigning league MVP, but the weight of expectation hanging over the Buffalo Bills quarterback is far more than what a trophy can shoulder—and not even Hollywood star
Hailee Steinfeld
, his partner, can carry it with him.
MVP pressure meets roster shake-ups and rising expectations
Josh Allen's stellar 2024 campaign solidified him as one of the league's elite, but success comes with a price. As Athlon Sports bluntly puts it, 'Allen has now officially entered a space where the bar is nothing short of excellence.' That means one thing—anything less than a
Super Bowl
appearance will likely be deemed a disappointment.
The Bills' roster has undergone a significant transformation in the offseason. With star receiver
Stefon Diggs
out of the picture and new weapons like Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, and Mack Hollins stepping in, Allen isn't just throwing passes—he's responsible for building chemistry, leadership, and momentum.
The pressure to unify this revamped offense falls squarely on his shoulders.
More than touchdowns: Josh Allen must carry the locker room and the city
Off the field, Allen and Steinfeld have become one of the NFL's most-watched couples. But as Athlon Sports points out, 'The burden Allen faces is less about the glitz of stardom and more about the grind of leadership.' In Buffalo, fans aren't dazzled by red carpets—they want a championship parade down Delaware Avenue.
So far, Allen's career has delivered thrilling plays and highlight reels, but no Super Bowl appearance.

With time ticking and the roster shifting, 2025 could define how he's remembered: as Buffalo's MVP icon or just another almost-great quarterback.
Josh Allen must lead like a wolf, not just a star
The Bills' offense can't just function—it needs to click. New players must feel like family, and Allen is the one responsible for that emotional glue. 'The Bills need people that will fight for the team like a wolf does for its pack,' one report stated. That leadership can't be faked; it must be earned every week, every drive.
Even with Steinfeld cheering from the sidelines, the pressure Allen faces is his alone. The city of Buffalo is hungry for more than promise—it's craving results. And in 2025, Josh Allen must deliver.

IND vs ENG: 'Sai Sudharsan must own No.3 spot' - R Ashwin gives blunt verdict on Karun Nair's batting position

Karun Nair and Sai Sudharsan NEW DELHI: Veteran India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has weighed in on India's top-order batting conundrum, questioning the team management's decision to push Karun Nair to No. 3 in the second and third Tests of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England. According to Ashwin, the move was a tactical misstep that disrupted the mindset of a player who has not batted in that position before. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! 'Karun Nair has never played at No. 3. Now, by playing him at No. 3, you have put his mindset in a block,' Ashwin said on his YouTube channel. After batting at No. 6 in the opening Test at Headingley, Nair was promoted to No. 3 in Birmingham and Lord's but failed to make an impact, leading to his exclusion for the fourth Test at Old Trafford. Rishabh Pant suffers right foot injury in India vs England Test; taken off in an ambulance Ashwin instead heaped praise on Sai Sudharsan, who replaced Nair and made a composed 61 off 151 balls on Day 1 of the Manchester Test. 'Credit to Sai Sudharsan, because it is not easy being a youngster after getting dropped and with India 1-2 behind in the series to come into the fourth Test and respond the way he did. I think he has to own that No. 3 for the near future to be able to give a bit of solidity for the team,' Ashwin said. Poll Was promoting Karun Nair to No. 3 a tactical misstep by the team management? Yes, it disrupted his mindset. No, it was a strategic decision. Comparing Sudharsan to stalwarts like Rahul Dravid and Cheteshwar Pujara, Ashwin said, 'He showed that sort of solidity. He was able to leave the ball. He earned the right to score those runs. I am a bit upset because I am a huge well-wisher of him. He could have scored a hundred.' India ended Day 1 at 264/4, with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur unbeaten. Ashwin also pointed out a technical flaw in Sudharsan's game, suggesting England missed a trick. 'One thing that will give him trouble early on is the ball coming back in from over the stumps. Shardul Thakur dismissed him in that fashion in a Ranji Trophy final.' 'He was in a lot of pain': Sai Sudharsan admits Rishabh Pant's absence could hurt India Ashwin concluded by underlining the mental strength Sudharsan showed. 'What a fine, fine knock for somebody playing in his second Test. He was technically equipped and mentally strong. There was no need to drop him earlier.' Hans Zimmer joins ‘Euphoria' Season 3 as composer alongside Labrinth

Acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer has officially joined the music team for Euphoria Season 3, HBO confirmed this week. Zimmer will work alongside returning composer and producer Labrinth, marking a significant shift in the show's already influential sonic identity. Zimmer, known for his powerful film scores in Interstellar, Dune, and The Lion King, said in a statement, 'It's an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson. Labrinth's music has shaped the show's identity, and I'm looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.' Labrinth, whose genre-defying compositions have been central to the show's tone since its debut, welcomed the collaboration. 'Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season,' he said. Series creator Sam Levinson, who remains at the helm for Season 3, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. 'It's a true honour to be working alongside Hans,' Levinson said. 'I wrote this season to the score of Interstellar and True Romance, so he's been ingrained in the creative DNA since the beginning.' Production on Season 3 began earlier this year after multiple delays. Much of the original cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi, is set to return. New cast members include Sharon Stone, singer Rosalía, and former NFL player Marshawn Lynch, among others. Euphoria is expected to return in 2026.

Under pressure, AIU removes joint secretary, forms inquiry panel

Representational Image New Delhi: Facing backlash over mismanagement and administrative irregularities at the ongoing FISU World University Games in Germany, resulting in some of the athletes missing out on participation, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) – under pressure from the sports ministry to crack the whip on erring officials – on Wednesday removed its joint secretary Baljit Singh Sekhon from his post and constituted a four-member inquiry committee to probe the procedural lapses in registration. The development came a day after TOI reported citing sources that the ministry was considering disbanding the AIU, along with the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), over alleged malpractices and irregularities in their functioning and replacing them with two new national federations. Six Indian badminton players were barred from the WUG in Rhine-Ruhr after officials failed to submit their names correctly during the managers' meeting on July 16. Similarly, India couldn't field an entry in the women's 10,000m and 400m as long-distance runner Seema along with two others and sprinter Devyaniba Zala's names went missing from the start list due to an official error. In the suspension letter issued by AIU – a copy of which is with TOI – Nazneen Begum, under-secretary (Admin/Estt) wrote: 'The president of the AIU, in the interest of upholding accountability and procedural propriety, and in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 18.2 of the AIU Office bye-laws, hereby place Dr Baljit Singh Sekhon, joint secretary, under suspension with immediate effect. It is also ordered that for the duration this order remains in effect, the headquarters of Dr Sekhon shall be the AIU Office, New Delhi. He must obtain prior permission before leaving headquarters/station.' In a separate letter issued by Nazneen, she informed about the formation of an investigative panel. 'The committee shall examine all relevant records related to the registration and management of Indian contingent at the WUG and determine the facts concerning the non-inclusion of selected athletes, the exclusion of designated coaches and the penalties imposed by the event organisers,' the order stated.
