England legend Paul Gascoigne hospitalised after being found collapsed at home
The Sun report that Gascoigne was found semi-conscious in the bedroom of his home in Dorset by a close pal.
The 58-year-old was subsequently taken to hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, but has now been moved to an acute medical unit and is in a 'stable condition.
Steve Foster, who found Gascoigne, said in a brief statement: 'He would like to thank everyone for the support he's received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best.
'Paul is in hospital, which is the best possible place for him to be right now.'
While the circumstances surrounding his collapse are not yet known, the former Tottenham midfielder is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.

Democratic Los Angeles city councilwoman asks jaw-dropping question to LAFC's new star Son Heung-min
Democratic Los Angeles city councilwoman Heather Hutt hilariously asked LAFC's newest A-list signing, Son Heung-min, if he will help the United States win next summer's World Cup. Son is South Korean. His responsibilities with the American club not doubling into national-team duty for the Stars and Stripes. The World Cup will be hosted primarily in the United States next summer, with SoFi Stadium in nearby Inglewood being the stage for two of the three group-stage games for the American squad against yet-to-be-determined opponents. Son will likely play at the tournament, as South Korea have qualified for the event, which expands to 48 teams in 2026. Hutt came off as excited for her hometown to garner a player of Son's quality but did not appear to understand how the World Cup works. 'How smart is LAFC? Let's give it up, because this is the right time to bring the right person. And no pressure, but when a World Cup comes, we're expecting a win here in Los Angeles for the USA, aren't we? And so we are here to support you to get that done,' Hutt said, staring at Son. Son was introduced by LAFC on Wednesday, with Hutt's comments coming as part of the event to welcome him after he exited Tottenham after 10 years. 'I want to welcome you to our city,' Hutt added. 'This is the way you do it, right? It is Los Angeles. It is a beautiful city. It's somewhere that we call the tapestry, and we love it here, and we're so glad to have you. Your bringing your smile and your talent, your culture, to LAFC.' Daily Mail has reached out to Hutt for clarification on her comments with no response. Hutt gave a little background as the councilwoman representing Los Angeles' 10th District, the home of Koreatown. Hutt stated that Los Angeles' Koreatown has more Koreans than any other city in the United States and has 'the best food' in the country. This is not the first time a world-renowned foreign soccer player has been asked about winning a World Cup upon their arrival on US soil. German sensation Bastian Schweinsteiger, fresh off helping Germany win the 2014 World Cup, was bizarrely asked if he would do the same with the Chicago Fire in 2017.

Horse racing tips: ‘He runs off a good-looking mark' – Templegate's Thursday NAP runs at Chepstow
TEMPLEGATE'S Thursday picks are below. Back a horse by clicking their odds. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up APACHE OUTLAW (7.00 Chepstow, nap) Trainer Ado McGuinness went close with this five-year-old at Galway last week and can go one better in this handicap over seven furlongs. The Welsh track has a fair bit in common with Ballybrit as they are both something of a rollercoaster ride with their undulations. He was more than a little unlucky in Ireland last week when he was full of running turning for home but had to wait an eternity for a gap to open. By the time it did the winner had gone just too far clear. But that was still an excellent effort and he comes here off the same mark of just 78. He was winning on the all-weather off 94 at Christmas so looks pretty well treated over a trip that suits. DANGERMAN (7.15 Sandown, nb) He really enjoyed dropping back to this distance for the Gosden's last time and won going away. The fact he stays further is always a positive at Sandown and a 4lb rise in the weights is more than fair. TADREEB (8.20 Sandown, treble) Better known as an all-weather horse but went close in good company at Ascot on his turf return last time out. He finished strongly over the seven-furlong trip so this move up to a mile should pay dividends off a lowly handicap mark. REGALLY BLONDE (5.15 Yarmouth) Completes the Lucky 15. She has barely put a foot wrong this season and the handicapper has been fair with a 1lb rise for her neck second at Nottingham. Son Heung-min admits Los Angeles FC move was not his first choice
The 33-year-old on Wednesday completed a move worth in excess of £20million – the highest transfer fee paid by an MLS club – after it was revealed on Saturday he would be leaving Spurs following 173 goals in 454 appearances and months after he captained the club to Europa League glory. At an introductory press conference in Los Angeles, the South Korea international admitted he had to be persuaded of the merits of moving to the United States before signing an initial two-year deal. New Beginnings ☀️ Welcome to Los Angeles, Sonny! — LAFC (@LAFC) August 6, 2025 'They've been absolutely working so hard to get me here to join LAFC,' Son said. 'If I'm honest it was not my first choice but John (Thorrington, LAFC general manager) was the first call when the season finished and John changed my mind, he changed my heart. 'I'm so happy to see all the Korean fans, I was at the game and I saw you supporting like crazy and I wanted to run on the pitch and show my performance. I'm here to win and I will perform. 'I will definitely show you something exciting in… are we calling it football or soccer? I will definitely show you some exciting football and we will have success.' Son added that the decision to leave Spurs had left him feeling 'very empty'. 'I felt like I gave it all, but I felt like I needed a new chapter and new challenge and I chose LAFC. I'm old but I still have good physicality, good legs and I still have good quality.' Earlier Son had issued an heartfelt message to Tottenham fans on making the 'hardest decision ever' to leave north London. 'How to find the right words for this? I don't know. I have been thinking for days. It's impossible. But here I go,' Son wrote. 'It's time for me to say goodbye to Tottenham Hotspur. My home for the past decade. When I arrived in 2015, I didn't speak English, I didn't know London, but you welcomed me with open arms, believed in me, and stood by me through every high and low. 'I was just a boy from Korea with big dreams who was supposed to have no chance. And now, 10 years later, North London is in my heart forever. Dear Spurs fans… Sonny's letter to you 🤍 — Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) August 6, 2025 'I've made friends for life here, had the honour of becoming a godfather here, and had the privilege of captaining our special club here. I've poured my heart and soul into this club, which makes this the hardest decision ever. 'I thought if I was ever going to leave, it would have to be on my terms, on the best terms, when our mission had been accomplished together. With pride and honour.' Son joined Spurs in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen. Alongside old partner in crime Harry Kane, Son holds the record for the most goal involvements by a duo in the Premier League, with the pair assisting each other on a record 47 occasions in the competition. Son's performance helped turn Tottenham into title contenders when they finished second in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino in 2017, finishing as runners-up in the Champions League two years later. After Kane left for Bayern Munich, Son became Spurs captain under Ange Postecoglou, lifting the Europa League trophy in May – having come off the bench in the final against Manchester United, a 1-0 Spurs win, after an injury-affected campaign. The popular South Korean will renew acquaintances with Hugo Lloris and move to Los Angeles, which boasts one of the largest Korean populations in the world, ahead of next summer's World Cup in the United States.
