SUN legend Arthur Edwards last night landed a top honour after 50 years working on the UK's favourite newspaper.
Our royal photographer, who still works full-time at 84, was presented with the first Lifetime Achievement gong at the British Press Awards.

Arthur, who joined The Sun in December 1974, received it as the biggest names in journalism gathered to salute the best in the business.
And Queen Camilla sent a congratulatory message on behalf of King Charles and herself.
She said: 'I cannot think of anyone who deserves it more.
"Not just for your decades of hard graft and talent, but in recognition of the enduring respect, admiration and affection that I know is felt for you across your whole industry — and indeed across the Royal Household.
"For more years than either of us care to remember, you have brought your trademark charm, humour and outstanding skill to countless events.'
In half a century on The Sun, Arthur has travelled to 120 countries, taking photos of not just the Royal Family but many of the world's biggest names.
He received his award at London's Marriott Grosvenor Hotel.
Sun Editor-in-Chief Victoria Newton said: 'Arthur Edwards is one of the greats of British journalism.'

Lady Helen left a huge £4,948,334 in her will, with the total being reduced by £31,000 to £4,917,989 following the removal of costs and fees, documents signed off by the High Court reveal. It has also been reported by The Sun that Lady Helen left two tax free gifts to two of her children - £850,000 to her son Alan Wogan, who is an executor, and also £750,000 to their daughter Katherine. Each of Terry and Helen's grandchildren have also been given a £100,000 trust, which they can access when they turn 25. The rest of their possessions and money will be split between their three living children - Mark, Alan and Katherine. Sir Terry Wogan died of cancer back in January 2016. A family statement, issued by the BBC, said at the time: "Sir Terry Wogan died today after a short but brave battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his family. While we understand he will be missed by many, the family ask that their privacy is respected at this time." Terry passed away just a few months after his final show on Radio 2, where he announced he had prostate cancer. He pulled out of Children In Need later that month due to health reasons.

Love Island star Kyle Ashman has left the show ahead of the launch episode next Monday. ITV have confirmed the 23-year-old from Stafford has chosen not to enter the villa and has decided to leave the show for personal reasons. It comes amid The Sun's reports that Kyle was involved in an machete attack in February when masked thugs stormed a wake and hacked at a dad with a blade. Kyle was one of two arrested by police but he was released with no further action and he has now confirmed he had no involvement in the incident, but has chosen to leave the ITV show regardless. Kyle told MailOnline: 'I fully cooperated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. 'I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation.'
