Jesse McCartney has become a father
Jesse McCartney has become a father - two months earlier than expected.
The 38-year-old singer-and-actor - who starred as JR Chandler on the soap opera All My Children before joining the boy band Dream Street - and his wife Katie Peterson welcomed their son Archer James McCartney early on May 7.
The little one wasn't due until August 8.
In a joint post on Instagram on June 17, the couple announced alongside a series of pictures of baby Archer: "Archer James McCartney took center stage on 5/7/25.
"Our sweet Archie couldn't wait to meet us and arrived a bit earlier than expected. We are so in love with him. He loves when mommy reads him a book and when daddy sings him off to sleep. We look forward to bringing him home very soon to meet his big sister Bailey [their dog], who sleeps with his blanket every night. Enjoy some cute pictures of our little fighter, Archer."
The couple announced they were expecting their first child together on Valentine's Day 2024.
Jesse and Katie tied the knot in October 2021, after almost a decade of dating.
Asked what attracted her to Jesse, Katie previously gushed to PEOPLE: "For somebody who's so busy and always on the go, he just has this generous way of prioritising me.
"We just make each other laugh. I feel the most comfortable being myself when I'm with him, which I think is really the true tell of when you found your person."
Jesse previously told of his plans to start a family amid a musical comeback.
Asked if he and his wife had thought about kids, he told Just Jared: "Yeah, we talk about it a lot. And I think that's definitely in the cards in the near future."
Jesse - who made appearances on the Disney Channel alongside Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana and Brenda Song on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody - added that he had been making plans for a comeback tour and celebrating the 20th anniversary of his first hit as well considering a move out of Los Angeles to start a family.
He said: "Actually, I'm in the process of discussing that with my team. We talked about possibly going overseas. A couple of these songs are doing really well in Southeast Asia. And there's a big market over there. I think we have a lot of fans over there. So we're thinking about maybe touring over there maybe later in the year, potentially Australia too, because we were supposed to tour there in 2020 before COVID hit.
"Then like I said, maybe trying to get something together for the anniversary of 'Beautiful Soul' if we can pull it together in time.
"So those are the plans. And, you know, just sort of also personally working on family, trying to maybe start a family and potentially move. We love our home here, but we're thinking of getting something a little bit more family friendly. So real estate is another thing that we're looking into."

Kneecap's Mo Chara placed on unconditional bail as hundreds support star at court
Kneecap's Mo Chara has been unconditionally bailed after facing a terror charge. After being greeted by hundreds of supporters outside Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (18.06.25), the court heard that the issue was with the member of the Irish rap trio - whose real name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh - "displaying a flag in support of proscribed organisation Hezbollah" at their O2 Forum Kentish Town gig in London in November 2024, not voicing his opinions on Israel and Palestine, which he's "well within his rights" to do. Prosecutor Michael Bisgrove told the court: 'It's not about Mr Ó hAnnaidh's support for the people of Palestine or his criticism of Israel. 'He's well within his rights to voice his opinions and solidarity, as is anybody else. 'The allegation in this case is a wholly different thing and deals with a video recording showing that, in November of last year, Mr Ó hAnnaidh wore and displayed the flag of Hezbollah, a proscribed terrorist organisation, while saying 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah'. 'Of course, support for the one is not the same as support for the other. 'So the issue in this case, and the reason it has come to court, it centres on the apparent support by Mr O hAnnaidh of a proscribed terrorist organisation.' Ó hAnnaidh was subsequently released on unconditional bail until his next hearing on August 20. Not only was he supported by his bandmates - Naoise Ó Cairealláin and JJ Ó Dochartaigh - at the court, but hundreds of supporters turned up to stand in solidarity with the star, with calls of "Free Palestine" heard as he left the building. In a statement on Instagram regarding the terror charge, Kneecap wrote: "We deny this 'offense' and will vehemently defend ourselves. 'This is political policing. This is a carnival of distraction. "14,000 babies are about to die of starvation in Gaza, with food sent by the world sitting on the other side of a wall, and once again the British establishment is focused on us. 'We are on the right side of history. You are not. We will fight you in court. We will win.' Kneecap had shows cancelled as a result of the backlash but are still set to play Glastonbury's West Holts stage at Worthy Farm on Saturday, June 28 at 4pm - despite calls from MPs for them to be banned.

New celeb pics will have you seeing double
Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. All eyes were on Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori when she arrived for a spa day, but it wasn't because she was once again near-naked. The 30-year-old drove herself to her beauty appointment in LA on Tuesday, looking almost nude as she embarked from her brand-new Porsche 911 Turbo 4S. Melbourne-born architect Censori put on a leggy display in a nude thong bodysuit with a plunging neckline that showed off some serious cleavage. Completing the outfit were her boots with the fur and black sunglasses. Bianca Censori made a bold fashion statement during a solo outing in Beverly Hills, wearing dramatic white furry boots. Picture: GAMR/KHROME/NEMO / BACKGRID The Aussie looked almost naked in her skin-coloured bodysuit. Picture: GAMR/KHROME/NEMO / BACKGRID With her cascading dark hair and equally dark shades, Censori closely resembled West's first wife, Kim Kardashian. The rapper was married to the reality-star-turned-beauty-mogul for seven years before their split in 2021. In late 2022, he began dating Censori and by December that year, they were married. The star drove herself to her spa appointment in her brand new Porsche 911 Turbo 4S. Picture: SPOT / BACKGRID This isn't the first time Censori has sparked comparisons to Kanye's former wife. Kardashian, 44, was called out for trying to look like her ex's new wife back in February when she rocked a nude leotard with a pair of fairy wings for her Skims shapewear campaign. Censori's latest outfit resembles Kim Kardashian's aesthetic. Picture: Skims Kanye West's first wife is also known for her long dark hair. Picture: SPLASH / BACKGRID In December, Kardashian was also compared to the Aussie model and architect when she posed in a teeny string bikini and plunging top on Instagram. 'Bianca has multiplied,' one person commented on the photo at the time, while another wrote, 'Kimca Censori.' Kardashian has also been called out for looking like Censori in this Skims ad from February. Censori is known to wear her hair slicked back, like she did at the Grammys this year. Picture:Now, it appears Censori has taken inspiration from Kardashian with her latest look as the voluminous hair resembles KK in her Kanye West era. But it appears the Aussie is following in Kardashian's footsteps in more ways than one. This solo outing comes after it was revealed earlier this month that Censori has started her own business empire. According to The US Sun, at the start of June she set up her first US company called Bianca Censori Inc. It was registered last month with the state of California and she is listed as CEO and secretary. It's believed her business will be in the beauty realm, given the chief financial officer is listed as Hussein Lalani, who specialises in selling cosmetic treatments. Lalani founded the skin care brand Zensa, which sells beauty procedures such as a DIY Brazilian wax kit and microblading. Aussie singer marries partner in destination wedding
Aussie singer Delta Goodrem has tied the knot with long-time partner Matthew Copley on the European island of Malta. The pair are believed to have made their love official on June 16, according to New Idea, after months of speculation regarding their nuptials. In May, Goodrem was seen wearing a wedding band during a London performance at Hackney Empire, but curiously did not appear to be wearing it while treating fans at London's St Pancras International Station to an impromptu performance later in the month. On Tuesday, following their wedding day, the couple were joined by Goodrem's mother Lea and brother Trent as they continued proceedings at a beach club. Glowing under the European sun, Goodrem was seen in a turquoise dress as she embraced loved ones and flaunted her striking engagement ring and wedding band. High-profile friends Richard Wilkins, his son Christian, and TV personality Renee Bargh also made the trip. Goodrem is believed to have met Copley, 38, in 2017 while on tour. 'He's my guitarist, I met him through music,' she said. 'It's incredible to be on stage with him because he's so talented. We really are a team. He's my best friend, he's kind and just a beautiful human being. 'But I learnt quite young that I enjoy keeping part of that private.' Delta Goodrem at her hen's party in April. With her husband's family largely Maltese, the singer has been open in the past about her love for the island. She even performed at the MTV Malta music festival a couple of years ago. Goodrem wrote on social media at the time, 'Malta you have my heart 🫶🏼what a place!!! performing and then getting to spend time with our beautiful family and friends watching sunsets, swimming in the sea and dancing in the streets 🫶🏻 how lucky are we to do what we get to do 🎵~☀️grateful. La familia!!'
