Emily in Paris star praises 'graceful' Lily Collins as she juggles motherhood
It's all action - and a bit of fizz - on the Emily in Paris set as Lucien Laviscount gives us the inside scoop on what it's really like filming the hit Netflix show with new mum Lily Collins. Now in its fourth season, the cast are currently shooting in Rome before heading back to Paris - but according to Lucien, the real star of the show is Lily, who's juggling motherhood with her leading-lady duties like a total pro.
'She's doing everything,' he tells us. 'She's got a newborn, she's doing it all — and she's doing it with such grace… I'm gonna use the word 'paza'. I've never used the word paza in my life, but she's got that.'
Lily welcomed her first child, Tove Jane McDowell, on January 31, 2025, via surrogacy with her husband, Charlie McDowell, sharing the good news on Instagram at the time.
Lucien, 32, who plays heartthrob Alfie in the series, says reuniting with the cast has been like no time has passed at all. 'It's so bizarre… life's been going on for everyone, but it only feels like a couple of weeks,' he says. 'We're getting the scripts through, it's like, 'Oh sh*t, this is crazy.' It's going off!'
He also had us laughing talking about his Schweppes campaign — a cheeky nod to his Caribbean roots and growing up with ginger beer at his grandma's. 'Schweppes was like the fancy stuff we bring out at Christmas,' he shared, adding with a grin, 'It was like a perfect little match, to be honest.'
Filming continues over the summer with plenty of drama ahead - both on screen and off - and Laviscount promises this season is one to watch. 'Everyone's really excited about what's to come,' he says. 'It's all there to play for, really.' Fizzing with energy, we say!
After months away from filming Emily In Paris, Lily's return to set was always going to be a welcoming affair. But Netflix star brought the entire set to a standstill as she returned to work with her four month old daughter in tow.
Cradling her in her arms, the 36 year old actress looked the picture of happiness as she was surrounded by her cast mates and crew as they cooed over her baby girl, named Tove. And it looked as though the four month old was also in her element as she playfully smiled and sat comfortable in the arms of various pals of the actress.
The actress was seen dressed in a blue and white floral trouser suit for her role as Emily Cooper for the new series of the show, in photos shared by the Daily Mail.
Waiting in the wings to step in for parent duties in case Lily was to be whisked off to shoot a scene, was her husband and father to her daughter, Charlie McDowell. Standing aside, Charlie placed a muslin cloth over his shoulder in case he needed to take over and comfort his daughter.
The new series of the show is being filmed in Rome instead of Paris as Lily's character is now creating a new life for herself in the historical city with her on-screen boyfriend Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini.
Back in January, Lily and Charlie welcomed their daughter via surrogate. Sharing her happy news with her 29 million followers, Lily posted: "Welcome to the center [sic] of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…"
Unfortunately, both Lily and Charlie were criticised by a few people on social media for using the aid of a surrogate to fulfil their dreams of becoming parents, as they claimed they had bought the privilege.
While others likened surrogacy to "human trafficking." This forced Charlie to publicly address the comments and labelled the comments as "unkind."
He wrote: "It's OK to not know why someone might need a surrogate to have a child. It's OK to not know the motivations of a surrogate regardless of what you assume."
A month after the birth, Lily took to Instagram once again to share with fans how Valentines Day took on a new meaning for her now that she was a mother. On February 14, she wrote: "I truly can't imagine feeling more love. Valentine's Day (and every day) just got a whole lot sweeter.'
Lucien Laviscount is Schweppes' brand ambassador - starring in two short films, featuring its new purple Tropical Soda, to inspire more of those special social moments with loved ones this summer.

It looks like Netflix subscribers are discovering a Sheridan Smith crime drama that first aired on ITV in 2012. Mrs Biggs is climbing up the streamer's ranking of the platform's top 10 TV shows – making a convincing argument for a mid-August weekend watch. Smith – who has so many British dramas to her name it can be easy to let one slip – stars in this five-part drama, which is based on the true story of the Great Train Robbery. The drama focuses on the relationship between Charmian, played by Smith, and Ronnie Biggs, played by Daniel Mays. It follows everything from their first lovestruck meeting and the fateful 1963 train heist, to its aftermath and their eventual divorce in 1976, after Biggs fathered a child in Brazil. We see the petty crook meet his soon-to-be wife on, of all places, a train. 'The future is full of possibilities,' he tells her. 'The past will only drag you down.' With that, the Biggs couple set off on a crime spree before they eventually decide to settle down for a quiet married life. That is, until the 'one last job' pops up in the chance to join the train robbers. Biggs's former wife Charmian was also a consultant on the show. The show's writer and executive producer Jeff Pope said he wanted to set out a romantic tale, rather than a romanticised one. 'We show Ron as perhaps a little too wilfully optimistic and Charmian is the cold voice of reason throughout. It absolutely would be a danger of a piece like this to romanticise it,' he told The Guardian. 'It will get laughed out of court if it's a slushfest. In the first episode, they steal, he strikes her, we acknowledge the fact he had a criminal record; further down the line, Charmian has an abortion by another man. As the Netflix pods opened for 30 new singletons to try their luck at finding someone to marry, one star has got tongues wagging more than most. 4 4 Patrick Justus, a human design coach, caught fan attention after telling people that he uses his spleen to guide him, when it comes to finding a romantic connection. But now, fans have slammed the reality star on social media, after a TikToker claimed he had a baby on the way while on the show. A creator named Story Time With Rikkii said in the video: 'Patrick had a baby on the way and didn't tell no body about it.' She then shared a photo of Patrick and the baby mum together while covering the woman's face. The TikTok went on: 'She was pregnant with his child when he went on Love Is Blind UK.' The woman who was pregnant with Patrick's child has allegedly spoken out about it too, according to the TikToker, writing: 'When he first tried to blackmail me, then goes on a dating show and then leaves you alone to go to Bali for 2 months spending his money there and then still calls you negative and a bad mom for losing it.' Tarek El Moussa gets battery charge from Las Vegas scuffle dismissed - after fulfilling certain conditions
Tarek El Moussa is no longer in legal jeopardy after he was charged with misdemeanor battery following a Las Vegas scuffle - his case has now been dismissed. According to court records obtained by the Daily Mail, El Moussa, 43, was facing a misdemeanor battery charge over the incident, but he was able to participate in the court's Pre-Prosecution Diversion Program where he was ordered to complete 'impulse control counseling' and to 'stay out of trouble.' El Moussa was able to show proof that he completed the diversion program requirements, and a judge dismissed his case on Aug. 5. has reached out to a representative for El Moussa for comment but did not immediately hear back. The altercation occurred in June at The Palazzo at the Venetian hotel between Tarek and another male, whose identity has yet to be revealed, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Witnesses claimed that Tarek drove his knee into the man's head, knocking him out. The HGTV personality was cited for battery for the incident but was not arrested over it. TMZ obtained a Las Vegas Metropolitan PD report that alleged the violent bust-up was captured on casino surveillance video. According to the report, the fight kicked off after Tarek's alleged victim allegedly bumped into the HGTV star's father's chair at a roulette table inside The Palazzo. The bump-in reportedly upset Tarek's father, who allegedly turned around in his seat to face the man. After Tarek's father turned his back, the man allegedly tapped him on the right shoulder and said something to him that reportedly caused Tarek, who was seated near his father, to get involved. Tarek allegedly got up from his seat and 'charged at the man, pushing him back before the two got into a 'fighting stance.'' As per the police report, Tarek's adversary allegedly went for the star's legs in an attempt to take him down. But Tarek allegedly proceeded to knee the man to the floor. The police then claimed that Tarek 'mounted the man's back and pummeled him with three blows to the head.' A source told at the time that Tarek was defending his elderly father when the squabble occurred (Las Vegas sign pictured April 2017) After the 'three blows to the head,' Tarek allegedly 'got up and walked away.' The incident was called in as an 'assault/battery' and the alleged victim told police that he wanted to press charges. The report claimed that the man suffered several injuries as a result of the casino altercation, including 'purple and red bruises under the right eye and a cut on the bridge of his nose.' The police said that the alleged victim's account of the fight with Tarek differed slightly from what they had viewed on the hotel's surveillance footage. According to cops, the man claimed he was 'aggressively approached' by Tarek at the roulette table before allegedly being 'assaulted' by him. The man insisted he was trying to defend himself. Tarek was also interviewed by police. He insisted that he only confronted the man to 'protect his Dad due to him having back problem.' However, Tarek stopped speaking with cops after his Miranda rights were read, according to TMZ. In a statement to the outlet at the time, Tarek's attorneys David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said: 'Tarek intends to contest these allegations in a court of law where he will assert his right to self-defense and the defense of his elderly and infirmed father.'
