Emily in Paris star praises 'graceful' Lily Collins as she juggles motherhood
EXCLUSIVE: Lucien Laviscount has praised his Emily in Paris co-star Lily Collins for the way she's been 'doing everything' as she juggles motherhood with her leading-lady duties
It's all action - and a bit of fizz - on the Emily in Paris set as Lucien Laviscount gives us the inside scoop on what it's really like filming the hit Netflix show with new mum Lily Collins. Now in its fourth season, the cast are currently shooting in Rome before heading back to Paris - but according to Lucien, the real star of the show is Lily, who's juggling motherhood with her leading-lady duties like a total pro.
'She's doing everything,' he tells us. 'She's got a newborn, she's doing it all — and she's doing it with such grace… I'm gonna use the word 'paza'. I've never used the word paza in my life, but she's got that.'
Lily welcomed her first child, Tove Jane McDowell, on January 31, 2025, via surrogacy with her husband, Charlie McDowell, sharing the good news on Instagram at the time.
Lucien, 32, who plays heartthrob Alfie in the series, says reuniting with the cast has been like no time has passed at all. 'It's so bizarre… life's been going on for everyone, but it only feels like a couple of weeks,' he says. 'We're getting the scripts through, it's like, 'Oh sh*t, this is crazy.' It's going off!'
He also had us laughing talking about his Schweppes campaign — a cheeky nod to his Caribbean roots and growing up with ginger beer at his grandma's. 'Schweppes was like the fancy stuff we bring out at Christmas,' he shared, adding with a grin, 'It was like a perfect little match, to be honest.'
Filming continues over the summer with plenty of drama ahead - both on screen and off - and Laviscount promises this season is one to watch. 'Everyone's really excited about what's to come,' he says. 'It's all there to play for, really.' Fizzing with energy, we say!
After months away from filming Emily In Paris, Lily's return to set was always going to be a welcoming affair. But Netflix star brought the entire set to a standstill as she returned to work with her four month old daughter in tow.
Cradling her in her arms, the 36 year old actress looked the picture of happiness as she was surrounded by her cast mates and crew as they cooed over her baby girl, named Tove. And it looked as though the four month old was also in her element as she playfully smiled and sat comfortable in the arms of various pals of the actress.
The actress was seen dressed in a blue and white floral trouser suit for her role as Emily Cooper for the new series of the show, in photos shared by the Daily Mail.
Waiting in the wings to step in for parent duties in case Lily was to be whisked off to shoot a scene, was her husband and father to her daughter, Charlie McDowell. Standing aside, Charlie placed a muslin cloth over his shoulder in case he needed to take over and comfort his daughter.
The new series of the show is being filmed in Rome instead of Paris as Lily's character is now creating a new life for herself in the historical city with her on-screen boyfriend Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini.
Back in January, Lily and Charlie welcomed their daughter via surrogate. Sharing her happy news with her 29 million followers, Lily posted: "Welcome to the center [sic] of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…"
Unfortunately, both Lily and Charlie were criticised by a few people on social media for using the aid of a surrogate to fulfil their dreams of becoming parents, as they claimed they had bought the privilege.
While others likened surrogacy to "human trafficking." This forced Charlie to publicly address the comments and labelled the comments as "unkind."
He wrote: "It's OK to not know why someone might need a surrogate to have a child. It's OK to not know the motivations of a surrogate regardless of what you assume."
A month after the birth, Lily took to Instagram once again to share with fans how Valentines Day took on a new meaning for her now that she was a mother. On February 14, she wrote: "I truly can't imagine feeling more love. Valentine's Day (and every day) just got a whole lot sweeter.'
Lucien Laviscount is Schweppes' brand ambassador - starring in two short films, featuring its new purple Tropical Soda, to inspire more of those special social moments with loved ones this summer.

Lena Dunham admits she broke down in tears over performance from 'disrespected' star
EXCLUSIVE Lena Dunham admits she broke down in tears over performance from 'disrespected' star Lena, 39, heaped praise on the star's acting in her upcoming Netflix show She applauded the performance during an appearance at Tribeca Film Festival READ MORE: Lena Dunham admits to 'wrecking herself on male attention' Lena Dunham has publicly lauded Rita Ora's performance in her upcoming Netflix series Too Much – and has called for the singer and actress to get 'more respect' for her on-screen talent. The 39-year-old Girls creator was in conversation with Michelle Buteau at Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday night in New York City where she discussed her triumphant return to television and her sensational cast members. During the intimate talk, Lena gushed over 34-year-old Rita's guest appearance in the new 10-part romantic comedy and described her acting as so 'affecting' that there were 'moments where I teared up.' 'Rita Ora is a really good actor, and I want her to get more respect on her acting name,' Lena declared when asked by Michelle, 47, if she could reveal a spoiler for ahead of the show's release. 'I want Rita Ora to get her flowers.' She continued: 'I mean, we know she's beautiful, but she came in and played this sort of like pseudo version of Rita Ora. There were some moments where I teared up. 'It was extremely affecting. So, we get a little Rita Ora in the season finale and boy does she deliver.' While Rita is arguably better known for her music career, she does have a number of acting roles under her belt. Lena Dunham gushed over Rita Ora's performance in her upcoming Netflix show Too Much Singer and actress Rita guest stars in the 10-part romantic comedy, due for release July 10 In 2015, 2017, and 2018 she appeared in the Fifty Shades films as Mia Grey, the adopted sister of Jamie Dornan's Christian Grey. Rita has also starred in the teen musical fantasy films Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024) and the action thriller Tin Solider, alongside Scott Eastwood, Jamie Foxx, and Robert DeNiro (2025). Over on TV, she has served as a judge on The Voice UK, The X Factor, and The Masked Singer. Helmed by Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe, Too Much follows New Yorker Jessica (Stalter) as she starts a new life in London after a disastrous breakup. There, she finds an impossible-to-ignore connection with Felix (Sharpe). Both in their 30s, the pair grapple with how to form a relationship with the baggage that both bring from their lives and previous romances. Lena co-created Too Much with her husband Luis Felber, whom she wed in September 2021 months after she was set up with him on a blind date. Besides Rita, Megan and Will, the cast also boasts of huge names including Emily Ratajkowski, Richard E. Grant, Adwoa Aboah, Rita Wilson, Stephen Fry, Andrew Scott, Andrew Rannells, and Reha Perlman. And even Lena was blown away by the star power that she managed to gather for the project. 'Rita played this sort of like pseudo version of Rita Ora,' Lena revealed about the singer's guest appearance in the series Lena spoke to Michelle Buteau at Tribeca Festival at Spring Studios on June 14 'I'm still shocked that all these schedules worked, and all these people came together because everyone was in this show was who I wrote the role for and so I'm just pinching myself,' she said. 'That's a rare experience.' Lena explained how she wrote Too Much with all of the cast in mind. 'My goal is always write them a different kind of part than you've seen them do before, or write them something that's so in their wheelhouse that is just going to be so fun to come in and crush it, but no in-between,' she said. 'I'd rather go bold and send them something where they're like "why the f*ck did they send me that?" Then make them feel like they're getting handed the same part that they get to do every time… 'So, with every part I'm thinking, how can I draw something out and make it interesting for you to show up for those days?' 'Rita Ora is a really good actor, and I want her to get more respect on her acting name,' Lena told audiences Earlier this month, Andrew Rannells spilled details of his Too Much role, revealing that he plays Lena's on-screen husband and Megan's boss. Fans will remember how Andrew previously played Elijah Krantz in Lena's acclaimed HBO show Girls, Hannah Horvath's (Dunham) gay ex-boyfriend. Speaking exclusively to on the red carpet at the premiere for I Don't Understand You in New York City, he recalled reuniting with Lena. 'It was very fun to get to make with her,' he gushed. 'We're sort of the grownups now.' 'I play Lena's husband, who is also Meg Stalter's boss,' he continued. 'So, I have like a fun dual role that I get to play. So, Elijah and Hannah have grown up and are now married!' Too Much is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 10.

Lily Allen breaks her silence after being spotted on a 'date' with James Norton
Lily Allen has returned to social media after she was spotted looking cosy with actor James Norton, with the pair said to be 'enjoying each other's company' over the weekend Singer Lily Allen has posted on social media for the first time since being spotted looking cosy with British actor James Norton. The mum-of-two, whose marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour ended earlier this year, looked happier than ever as she spent some time with the Happy Valley actor over the weekend. Lily, 40, and James, 39, were spotted enjoying each other's company over the weekend, sparking rumours of a budding romance. The Smile hitmaker looked radiant in a black mini skirt and white t-Shirt as she spent time with James at the Lido Festival in East London on Saturday. James, who recently became single after parting ways with his model girlfriend, is also rumoured to be on Raya, where he has reportedly matched with Lily. The two were spotted at the festival, opting out of the VIP section to enjoy acts like Charli XCX among the crowd with cans on non-alcoholic beer. At one point, Lily was seen leaning into James, and the two appeared to be at ease with each other, with James visibly giggling at her antics. Festival-goers were reportedly doing double takes upon spotting the pair together as they sipped on alcohol-free beverages. Following the snaps circulating online, Lily returned to social media on Monday afternoon - but failed to address the rumours she has a new man in her life. The singer-turned-actress instead used her Instagram Stories to promote the latest instalment of her BBC podcast series with Miquita Oliver, Miss Me? Earlier in the day, Instagram's very own Gossip Girl DeuxMoi shared a message from a fan that was at the Chari xcx afterparty that claimed "Lily Allen [was] getting very cosy with James Norton". "Good for Lily especially after that drama with David," one Instagram user penned in the comment section, with another adding: "Alright Lily. What a rebound." Lily admitted she struggled in the wake of her split from American actor David after the former couple called it quits in December, ending their four-year marriage. Rumours swirled earlier this year that David had been unfaithful during their marriage, with claims of him being seen on a celebrity dating app while still wed to Lily. David has yet to respond to the allegations of infidelity or using a dating app during his marriage. In a candid admission during a live podcast recording at the Hackney Empire in London back in March, Lily reflected on the split and confessed to the audience, "I am not over it." She further revealed, "I am sort of running away. Maybe I will have a nervous breakdown." Meanwhile, David has also opened up about his personal struggles, admitting to having let himself go "physically and emotionally." His comments came shortly after he confirmed the split by appearing without his wedding ring on the red carpet at the Thunderbolts premiere. When questioned about the split, David initially responded with a mere "Oh boy," but later explained his decision to remain tight-lipped, citing his desire to protect the people involved and the reality of his life. In an interview with GQ Magazine, David expressed his reluctance to engage with the surrounding hype, which he believed was based on "hysterical hyperbole."
