INDIANAPOLIS – The stars came out for the 2025 Rivals Five-Star event at the Indianapolis Colts' facility this week. Here we break down the top defensive linemen from the event.

In hindsight we probably should have tried to do a co-MVP situation with Geralds and Khary Wilder. Geralds was dominant throughout the camp and flashed his skills on the inside and outside. His motor runs hot and he came into the camp with something to prove.

LSU, Ole Miss, Ohio State and many others are pushing hard for his pledge.
If there is one thing we know about Kruel is that he will show up ready to make plays off the edge. Once again he showed his ability to manuever around good offensive tackles where he can win with speed but also some power. His counter moves are improving too.
Oklahoma seems to be the leader in the clubhouse right now but don't count out Florida, Ole Miss or Texas.
The five-star Texas commit showed the industry why he's rated so highly. He won reps with power and speed through the camp and had some of the best one-on-one wins of the day. He looks like a day one impact player that will be a force in Austin.

He's already moved off a commitment to Oregon so Texas will have to fight other powerhouses to keep him.

Picking a Defensive Line MVP was difficult because there were so many outstanding options but Wilder got the nod. The Ohio State commit consistently beat offensive linemen at the snap and then used a variety of power moves to knock them off balance. Wilder had some of the longest arms of any prospect in attendance, which he used to keep offensive linemen from getting good hand placement.
He was an absolute must-get for Ohio State, which has struggled to land elite defensive linemen.

Report: NFL initially proposed double-digit game Rashee Rice suspension, open to a settlement
This season is up in the air for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, who is awaiting punishment for his involvement in a multi-car crash in Dallas last year. If a settlement is reached, Rice may be able to sit out at the start of the season, rather than let the hearing stretch on into appeals and threaten the receiver's long-term availability. A double-digit suspension would be an unexpectedly harsh punishment for Rice in terms of this incident, keeping him off the field for more than half of the 2025 season. To put things in perspective, former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker was suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 season for a pattern of sexual misconduct with massage therapists in the Baltimore area; in 2022, Deshaun Watson was suspended 11 games for a similar conduct policy violation. Rice's plea deal with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office gave him deferred probation, meaning that his case will be dismissed if he successfully completes his five years of probation. Rice can reportedly serve the 30 days of jail time at any point during his probation. Rice was also required to pay the medical expenses of the victims, totaling $115,481.91, as part of the deal. In addition to his sentence, Rice was sued for $1 million by the two people who were injured in the crash; that lawsuit was settled the day before he received his sentence. Despite the uncertainty, Rice has not been limited in training camp with the Chiefs, and has been playing in the team's typical rotation. "We're going to progress as normal with him," Kansas City head coach Andy Reid told reporters in July. "He'll go in and take all the reps that he'd normally take. We always rotate that position. So depending on what happens here in the future, whoever needs to play will be able step in, and they'll know what they are doing and be in good shape to do it." If Rice and the NFL do not reach a settlement before his Sept. 30 hearing, Rice will be available for the first four games of the season, including the Chiefs' opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5 and the home opener (and Super Bowl rematch) against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 14.

Rookie Jacob Misiorowski struggles in his return as Brewers aim for 13th straight win
CINCINNATI (AP) — Rookie pitcher Jacob Misiorowski lasted only 1 1/3 innings Friday night in the All-Star 's return to the Milwaukee Brewers after a stint on the injured list. Misiorowski started for the NL Central-leading Brewers in their series opener at Cincinnati after missing about 2 1/2 weeks with a left tibia contusion. The Brewers were trying to win a 13th straight game, which would match the longest winning streak in franchise history. The Brewers won their first 13 games in 1987. The rookie threw 54 pitches in his return, giving up four hits and five earned runs. He also hit Tyler Stephenson after his third strikeout. Misiorowski last pitched on July 28 in an 8-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Misiorowski's knee appeared to buckle in the first inning that night as he fielded a dribbler and threw wildly to first base, though he remained in the game and ended up lasting four innings.
