The world's oldest tennis tournament is underway, and
Wimbledon
fever has officially gripped sports fans across the globe. Even World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka commented on the electric energy at the All England Club.
But one unexpected face in the crowd turned heads—Stanley Cup winner and NHL star Brad Marchand, enjoying some off-season relaxation far from the rink.

Brad Marchand, fresh off winning the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers, was seen in London attending Wimbledon with his wife, Katrina Marchand. Katrina shared Instagram stories tagging Marchand and showing tennis star Carlos Alcaraz. Another clip showed Marchand playing table tennis with Grand Slam Tennis Tours' Director of Sales, Jock Cooperrider.
While the couple appeared to be enjoying their time, Marchand's appearance came amid ongoing questions about whether the Panthers will re-sign him ahead of 2025 NHL free agency.

The Panthers are coming off a dominant Stanley Cup run, but their offseason decisions were crucial. All eyes were on playoff heroes Sam Bennett, Aaron Ekblad, and Brad Marchand—each of whom was set to hit NHL free agency on July 1.
Bennett calmed nerves first, announcing during a celebration party at E11even that he was staying.
He later signed an 8-year, $64 million extension. Ekblad followed with his own 8-year, $48.8 million contract. Together, these deals consumed a significant portion of Florida's $19 million salary cap space.

The 37-year-old forward hinted at an extension during team celebrations, but with the Bruins reportedly interested in a reunion, the Panthers face a tough decision. Despite winning his second Stanley Cup, Marchand remains one of the most sought-after names in free agency.

As the Panthers lock in key pieces of their championship core, Brad Marchand's future remains unresolved. With limited cap space and growing interest from other teams, including the Boston Bruins, Florida's front office must act quickly. Whether Marchand stays or leaves will have a major impact on the Panthers' chances of defending their Stanley Cup title in the 2025 NHL season.

'We don't give enough credit to Mohammed Siraj': Morne Morkel

Mohammed Siraj (Getty Images) in Birmingham: After Shubman Gill notched up another century and helped India set a towering 608-run target for England's Bazballers, Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep made the new ball talk once again, rattling England's top order. The hosts were left reeling at 72 for three in 16 overs at stumps on day four of the second Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday. Akash Deep removed the dangerous Ben Duckett and the experienced Joe Root, while Siraj dismissed Zak Crawley with a full outswinger that was caught at backward point. India now need seven more wickets on the final day, Sunday, to secure their first-ever Test win at Edgbaston. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! India's bowling coach Morne Morkel praised the duo's performance after their crucial breakthroughs kept the visitors in command. "Very happy with the performance. Coming to Akash, he's an attacking bowler who constantly asks questions around the stumps. It's a good sign for us to see him charging in like that after returning from injury. Hopefully, he'll replay that Joe Root dismissal on his phone tonight," Morkel told reporters after the day's play. Poll Will India secure their first-ever Test win at Edgbaston? Yes, they will No, they won't "For me, Mohammed Siraj is a guy I have a lot of respect for. He wears his heart on his sleeve when he bowls. Sometimes he tries too hard, which can lead to inconsistency, but we don't give him enough credit — he does the dirty work for the team," he added. India's declaration, which came an hour after the tea break, drew criticism from both experts and fans. On-air, Cheteshwar Pujara also said that the team should have declared at least half an hour earlier. Akash Deep press conference: On replacing Jasprit Bumrah, message from Gautam Gambhir and more Asked about the timing of the declaration, Morkel said: "We did have a lot of discussions during the day. It's a good wicket and you can't really control the weather. We were aiming for 2–3 wickets today, and we managed to get them." Sharing his thoughts on England's mindset, Morkel added: "Harry Brook said yesterday that they would go for the chase — we're in for an exciting day of cricket." The task for India on the final day is straightforward: take the remaining seven wickets and seal their first-ever Test win at Edgbaston. Virat Kohli heaps praise on Shubman Gill after India Test captain slams third ton in four outings: 'Well played star boy'

Newly-appointed India Test captain Shubman Gill rewrote records once again at Edgbaston on Saturday, following up his majestic 269 in the first innings of the second Test with a knock of 161 at nearly run-a-ball. read more India Test captain Shubman Gill received praise from batting legend Virat Kohli among others after scoring yet another century on Day 4 of the second Test against England at Edgbaston. Reuters/AP Shubman Gill received high praise from none other than Virat Kohli, the batting icon whom he succeeded at the No 4 spot in the Indian Test team, after scoring his third century in four outings in the ongoing tour of England on Saturday. Newly-appointed India Test captain Gill once again rewrote the record books as he followed up his majestic 269 in the first innings of the second Test against England with a knock of 161, helping India declare on 427/6 and set England a mammoth 608-run target. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The 25-year-old ended up amassing 430 runs at Edgbaston – breaking Sunil Gavaskar's record (344) for the most runs by an Indian in a single Test and sitting behind English batting icon Graham Gooch (456) at the second spot in the all-time list. Gill also became only the second batter in Test cricket's 148-year history to score more than 150 in both innings of a Test – after former Australia captain Allan Border, who had achieved the feat against Pakistan in 1980. 'Onwards and upwards from here': Kohli to Gill 'Well played star boy. Rewriting history. Onwards and upwards from here. You deserve all of this,' Kohli wrote in a story on Instagram after Gill brought up his ninth Test hundred on Day 4 of the second Test. Kohli, who had retired from Test cricket just days after a similar announcement from Rohit Sharma in May, had made the No 4 his own for more than a decade following the retirement of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in 2013. Gill, on the other hand, had started his Test career as an opener before moving to No 3 to accommodate Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top of the order. He would move down by another spot for his maiden series as Test captain – in which he has amassed a whopping 585 runs in just two Tests at a staggering average of 146.25. India put themselves in the driver's seat at close of play on Day 4 after reducing England to 72/3, with the hosts needing another 536 to win with seven wickets in hand on the final day. England currently lead the five-match series 1-0 after collecting a five-wicket win in the first Test at Headingley, where they chased down a target of 371 in the final hour of the final day.
