KSU Leader Lodges Complaint to Trace 'Missing' Suresh Gopi, Congress Alleges Voter List 'Manipulation'
New Delhi: The Thrissur district president of the Congress-affiliated Kerala Students' Union (KSU) has lodged a 'man missing' complaint and seeking a probe into the 'disappearance' of Union minister and Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi.
In his complaint, KSU leader Gokul Guruvayur has alleged that Gopi went missing after the arrest of two Malayali nuns in Chhattisgarh, reported New Indian Express.
Guruvayur has asked the police to 'probe the whereabouts of the MP and to find those behind his disappearance'.
According to his social media handles, Gopi is presently in Manipur for official duty as part of his role as the Union minister of state for tourism and petroleum and natural gas, said the New Indian Express report.
'Everyone knows that when an MP becomes a Union minister, he will have additional responsibilities,' said Kerala Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, brushing away complaints that Suresh Gopi has been missing from his constituency.

'Take a look at the total electors data for each Parliament constituency in Kerala from 2014 General Elections. When you look carefully, you'll find something unusual about Thrissur. Thrissur had seen an addition of 62,318 votes in 2019, while the same constituency saw an addition of 1,46,656 (2.35x) votes making it the largest constituency in Kerala with 14.83 lakh votes out of nowhere,' it added.
The post added that it was reported during the elections that large scale voter registrations were done by BJP a few months before the elections.
'Suresh Gopi's family lives in Sasthamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram. 11 votes were added under the name 'Bharath Heritage' at the Nettissery residence where Suresh Gopi was residing in Thrissur, for adding all his family members to the Thrissur voters list, while they were residing in Thiruvananthapuram. There are many more such additions which resulted in the manipulated voters list, where non-residents of Thrissur were added at scale,' said the Congress.

Late last week, the White House declared it a smashing success in a press release called '200 Days of Winning: President Trump is Keeping His Promises.'
