Food Network's Bobby Flay Pays Tribute To Anne Burrell
On Tuesday, beloved chef and Food Network star Anne Burrell died at age 55, with her representatives confirming that she passed that morning at her home in Brooklyn, New York.
Her family issued an emotional statement at the time, which read: 'Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered. Anne's light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal."While Anne's cause of death is currently still unknown, People reported that she was found 'unconscious and unresponsive' by emergency services who were responding to a 911 call about a reported cardiac arrest.According to the publication, the New York City Police Department attended Anne's address at around 7:50 a.m. on June 17.
And the star's death has come as a huge shock, with Anne participating in a show for her improv class just hours before she died, on the evening of June 16.
Needless to say, Jane's tribute is just one of many, with several of Anne's fellow Food Network stars and other celebrities honoring her on social media after news of her death broke, including Gigi Hadid, who worked with Anne during an appearance on Beat Bobby Flay.
And late on Wednesday night, Bobby took to his Instagram account to share his own tribute to Anne, who he worked with on multiple different food shows over the years — starting with Anne's standout series Worst Cooks In America.
Sharing a casual photo of Anne smiling while cuddling her two Maine Coon cats, Bobby began: 'Worst Cooks in America was the funnest show on TV. All of your co-hosts (me included) were just alongside for the Anne Burrell ride.'
'The greatest gift I got from AB was turning me on to a world of Maine Coon Cats (including Nacho)..." he added. "a gift that I'll have forever.'
Anne's final Instagram post was uploaded just six days ago, with the chef sharing a smiling selfie as she expressed her excitement at bumping into the Green Lady of Brooklyn — a local celebrity known for her green hair and clothing.
She captioned the happy post: 'I ran into @greenladyofbrooklyn in my neighborhood today!! I'm not going to lie- I have been keeping an eye out for her. I may or may not have followed her down the street for a minute. She is just lovely!!! #ilovewhatido #luckygirl 💚💚💚'Anne married her husband, Stuart Claxton, in October 2021, with the two meeting on Bumble back in 2018. She is survived by Stuart, his son Javier, her mother Marlene, her sister Jane, her brother Ben, and their children.

Owner Predicts What Puppy Will Grow Into—Unprepared for Reality
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman was not prepared for just how much her puppy would grow to resemble one of the most-iconic cartoon dogs of all time—Scooby-Doo. Danielle Mark (@thereal_scoobydoo), 36, from South Florida first noticed the likeness when her blue fawn Great Dane, Scooby, was just 6 months old. "I never knew that he would look like Scooby-Doo when he grew up," Mark told Newsweek. "I first realized when a friend said to me when he was 6 months old, 'he kind of looks like Scooby,' but I just brushed it off. The first time I took him out in a public place with many people was after his training boot camp he went to, and a boy yelled to me: 'I like your Scooby-Doo dog!' And I said thank you! And now I can't go anywhere without a Scooby-Doo comment." The video Mark shared of his transformation has garnered more than 111,000 likes and almost 1 million views. Scooby is now 2 years old, weighs 160 pounds, and lives with Mark, a dachshund, and three Maine Coon cats. A split image showing the real-life Scooby-Doo as a puppy versus now, right. She is regularly greeted by strangers shouting things like, "SCOOBY DOOBY DOOOOOO" and "zoinks!"—a reference to Scooby-Doo's best friend, Shaggy—and has even been asked whether she stole him from Shaggy or if Scooby eats sandwiches as in the cartoon. Some have even wondered whether he'll be cast in the next live-action Scooby-Doo. Mark works as a real estate agent, investor, Maine Coon breeder, and now Scooby's manager on TikTok. She said it wasn't until she posted a playful video of a viral blanket-hiding trend that things really exploded online. Mark said: "Then when I posted a video on TikTok for my 12 followers of me doing the trend where I hide in a blanket after I throw a ball and he can't find me, it really hit me, seeing over 26 million views and 8,000 Scooby-Doo comments and then the followers gained quickly!" She described Scooby as the "sweetest and smartest Great Dane I've ever had"; he enjoys swimming, cuddling, playing with other dogs, getting treats, and learning new tricks. Scooby is also quite needy and experiences a bit of separation anxiety, which they are working on. Their fame isn't just online. Mark said people often stop her on the street, pull out their phones, and even follow them around to take pictures and videos. "So many people just take out their phones and record us when we go for walks or an outdoor restaurant. They stop their cars to take a photo or video, FaceTime a friend, or follow us to take photos. He has his own paparazzi." Why Scooby Looks So Familiar The real Scooby-Doo, introduced in 1969 by Hanna-Barbera Productions, is a talking Great Dane known for solving mysteries with his gang in the Mystery Machine. Despite his large size and deep bark, Scooby-Doo is famously timid and food-obsessed, often bribed with "Scooby Snacks" to face his fears. He has a distinctive voice, signature catchphrases like "Ruh-roh!" and an unmistakable bond with his best friend, Shaggy. TikTok users couldn't get enough of the resemblance. "All I see is Marmaduke," one commenter wrote, referring to the fictional comic-strip Great Dane created by Brad Anderson in 1954. Like Scooby-Doo, Marmaduke is a lovable but bumbling giant dog known for his goofy antics and oversize presence. Another user joked, "That's Scrappy Doo," referring to Scooby-Doo's smaller, far more confident and occasionally annoying nephew, who was introduced to the franchise in 1979 and often exclaims, "Puppy Power!" Other users were simply charmed. "Gorgeous! Always wanted a Scooby Doo dog," wrote one. Another added: "That's what Scooby Doo was modeled after though lol [laugh out loud]. He does look like Scooby." Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? Moreover, the gym equipment lying around him added a hilarious false pretext for netizens, with many joking that his deep slumber might have come from all the exercise. A hilarious viral video captured Archie, the Golden Retriever puppy, sleeping like a baby amidst noise and chaos. The humorous element comes to life when the camera pans to the noisy carpentry in the backdrop. While the room fills up with noise, it does not budge the pup. He continues sleeping on the exercise mat with no care in the world. The short clip begins with a shot of Archie sleeping on the mat. With his limbs stretched out and a slight smile on his face, he slept without any care. The camera then zooms out to reveal the exercising equipment all around the puppy. While everything seems normal, the camera slowly reveals the bigger picture. The video captures a man plugging in a drilling machine. Once he does so, he rests on what appears to be newly made furniture, while another individual uses the device. The noise of the drilling machine fills the room. Looking like he is tired from exercising, Archie does not let the noise bother him. The puppy's deep sleep resonated with a wide audience, who took to the comments to let their admiration for the canine be known. A user remarked, 'He is like such a cute, fluffy stuffy,' while another joked, 'He looks like a little lamb.' Another commentator advised, 'Open a bag of chips, that'll wake him,' and the owner agreed, replying, 'It would wake him up instantly.'
