Terron Armstead spent 12 hard years in the NFL playing for the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins. This fall, for the first time since he was five years old, he will not be suiting up.
Now retired, this man is trying to talk about how difficult it was to go through the injuries. He has a dual ambition to not only tell his own story but also represent others who are still going through this in silence. He spoke at an event the other day, and he detailed just how rough the process was prior to his decision to retire.
Terron Armstead shares painful reason behind his
NFL retirement
On Friday, June 21, 2025, at Fanatics Fest, Terron Armstead spoke to Fox News Digital about why he chose to retire now.
He explained that he has dealt with a serious knee injury since his third NFL season.
'After a game on Sunday, I couldn't walk until Wednesday or Thursday,'
Terron Armstead said.
'I could only play with pain meds. I couldn't put any pressure on my knee.'
During the 2023–24 season with the Miami Dolphins, he said he didn't attend a single practice, not because he wanted rest, but because his body couldn't handle it.
Terron Armstead also appeared on The Nightcap Show, where he said, 'I think I'm done.
I'm at peace with it. I'm excited to be on this side now and talk about the game.'
Terron Armstead now wants to help other injured players still in the NFL
Even though he's retired, Terron Armstead is not walking away from football completely. He now wants to speak out for other NFL players who are battling injuries but can't say much publicly.
'There are players still playing who deal with this every day,' he said. 'They can't speak about it because no one wants to hear excuses before a game.'
Terron Armstead knows what it takes to push through to the next week when there is a standard or commitment from fans and coaches to play at a high level week in and week out. He hopes that in sharing his own experiences, people will feel less alone, and receive more help.

Image via Reagan Bregman/Instagram It is not clear if the Boston Red Sox's star player, Alex Bregman, has joined his family on the road trip but it seems like Reagan Bregman is taking a well deserved break from her regular life. A few days ago, Alex Bregman's wife, Reagan Bregman, also posted a few snippets of her life and gave her fans a sneak peek of their newborn, but has stayed silent on the extent of her husband's injuries. Is Alex Bregman returning to the field soon? With Alex Bregman being injured, the fans of the Boston Red Sox have been pretty stressed as the team has already lost thrice in the last six matches; the most recent ones being the consecutive losses against the San Francisco Giants. However, the Boston Red Sox's manager, Alex Cora has provided a positive update on Alex Bregman on Sunday, according to the Boston Globe's Tim Healey. The Boston Red Sox's manager, Alex Cora, said, "We're getting closer for him to join us.' He added, "I'm not saying it's going to happen this week or the week after, but it feels like it's going to be sooner rather than later." But Alex Bregman has not issued a statement yet about the extent of his injuries or has cleared the air around when he will be returning. For now, the Boston Red Sox are busy gearing up to face the Los Angeles Angels in a few hours. It wasn't about football, contracts, or rivals, it was about a city. In a recent podcast episode, St. Brown shared something unexpected that's now going viral. He talked about a place he visited during a big moment in his career… but now says he'd never live there. Amon-Ra St. Brown explains why he dislikes Kansas City On June 23, 2025, Amon-Ra St. Brown appeared on the St. Brown Podcast and spoke openly about his feelings for Kansas City. He shared that he had been to the city during the 2021 NFL Draft. Even though it was a big moment in his career, he didn't enjoy the city itself. He said, 'I've been to Kansas City; I was there for the draft. Bro, I'm sorry. If you have money, I'm not living here after I get some money.' St. Brown described Kansas City as a 'medium city.' According to him, the city doesn't offer the kind of lifestyle or vibe he'd prefer once he has the money to live elsewhere. His tone wasn't angry, it was just very honest. He didn't say anything bad about the Kansas City Chiefs or the fans, but made it clear that the city doesn't match his personal taste. The comment quickly went viral. The podcast clip was shared on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), and fans immediately reacted. Many were surprised to hear such a blunt opinion from someone in the league, especially from a player like St. Brown, who's now considered one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL. Amon-Ra St. Brown's honesty is now fueling a social media storm What surprised people most was how direct Amon-Ra St. Brown was. He didn't try to soften his words or sugarcoat his feelings. He simply said Kansas City wasn't for him—especially if he had other options with more money. The comments have now sparked conversations online, with fans defending their hometown and others agreeing with his view. Despite the reactions, St. Brown didn't mean to start a controversy. He was just speaking from personal experience. But because of his rising fame and success, every word he says now carries more weight. This time, it wasn't about football—it was about where a top NFL player chooses not to call home.
