Logies 2025: MAFS, The Block, MKR and more stars not invited in major snub

Yahoo4 days ago
The 65th Annual TV Week Logie Awards are exactly one week away, with the ceremony set to recognise some of the most popular actors, presenters, and television personalities for their work over the past year. The nominees include well-known names and programs across multiple networks and streaming services; however, not everyone has been invited to attend the prestigious event.
Despite being some of the most recognisable faces on Australian TV and delivering enormous ratings for their respective shows, a large majority of reality TV participants have been snubbed. Here's which of your favourite reality stars you can expect to see on the red carpet next Sunday, and who will be watching from home.
Married At First Sight
While it was a guarantee in previous years that Married At First Sight participants would be in attendance, Jamie Marinos tells Yahoo Lifestyle that no one from this season's cast has received an invite.
'To be honest, I felt like there was all this talk that we were gonna get invited, but I just didn't trust it, so I actually booked a trip to Europe and I'm doing my own kind of publicity tour in London,' she shares.

'None of us were bloody invited. That's sad for everyone else at the Logies, because we know how to turn up at any kind of dinner party event. It's a shame because I know the rest of the cast probably would have been looking forward to it too. I would have loved to have gone to the Logies with everyone.'
It's understood that relationship experts John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla will be in attendance to represent the show, which is what they did last year after the season 11 cast was also snubbed.
The Block
Similarly to MAFS, the teams from last year's milestone twentieth season of The Block also missed out on an invite, with Scott Cam, Shelley Craft, and the show's judges expected to attend in their place
'Unfortunately, we haven't received an invite to the Logies,' Ricky Recard tells us. 'If The Block bosses and Channel 9 can fit us on their invite list, I'm sure they will. With so many amazing people involved in the show, from Julian Cress, Scotty Cam, Shelley Craft and too many more for me to mention, it must be so hard to invite everyone along to such a special night.'
Despite the 'snub', Ricky says he feels 'privileged' and 'incredibly grateful' to have been a part of the series, and he will be cheering the team on from home.
'I have no doubt the team will bring home the Logie for Best Competition Reality Program, and if they do, to be part of that I'll always hold close to my heart. I love my Block family,' he remarks.
The Real Housewives of Sydney
This year marks the first time The Real Housewives of Sydney have been nominated for the Logies; however, Victoria Montano tells us that none of the cast members have been invited.
'My understanding is that when the news broke, a few cast members contacted production to ask who was going to attend the Logies. I didn't contact production at all when the news broke - I was under no misconceptions about the fact they would prioritise themselves over the stars of the show. The ladies, who for almost no pay at all, open their lives to the public so that production can make money from our lives,' she shares.
My Kitchen Rules
Yahoo Lifestyle understands that none of the teams from the recent season of My Kitchen Rules have been asked to attend the Logies, and judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge will instead represent the series on the red carpet. This doesn't bother 2024 champion Simone Preste at all, as he will be busy working on his new business venture.
'We won't be able to attend the event as we'll be opening our second restaurant location at Westfield Chermside next week,' he tells us. 'But with all my heart, I hope MKR takes home the award, fingers crossed!'
MasterChef
MasterChef judges Poh Ling Yeow and Sofia Levin will definitely be in attendance as they are both first-time nominees, with Poh up for the Gold Logie and Sofia up for Most Popular New Talent. Previous years have seen the show's most recent winner and runner-up in attendance; however, Josh 'Pezza' Perry says he hasn't been contacted.
'I hope they do well at the Logies. It was a great show to be a part of, but I only came second and [I'm] a guy from Tassie, so I'm forgotten about fairly fast, I think,' he tells us. 'But I like that because that's who l am and I probably didn't suit what they wanted.'
Farmer Wants A Wife
It's unknown who, if anyone, will be in attendance to support Farmer Wants A Wife, as host Natalie Gruzlewski hasn't walked the red carpet since 2014 and none of last year's farmers have been invited.
'I don't think I'm going; they haven't contacted me about it at all,' Farmer Bert Harris tells us. 'No doubt the producers will be the ones going!'
Australian Survivor
The same can be said for Australian Survivor, with Jonathan LaPaglia unlikely to attend after he was recently fired from the series, and winner Myles Kuah not on the guest list.
'I'm not going to the Logies, but I'm hopeful for a Survivor win,' he tells us.
Australian Idol
One reality star who will be walking the red carpet is this year's Australian Idol winner, Marshall Hamburger. The 19-year-old will be joined by the show's host, Ricki-Lee Coulter, who is nominated for Most Popular Presenter.
'I am honestly so excited to attend my first Logies ever, and a little nervous as well!' he tells us. 'I have to say I am very excited to hear Jimmy Barnes sing. I've never seen him perform live before, so seeing him in person is going to be a huge honour! I'm also excited to hopefully see some of the crew from Idol, such as Ricki-Lee, the judges, and the production crew as well.
'As for my outfit, I am stuck between an '80s style Farnham look, or a Bruno Mars Silk Sonic look! Who knows what I'll end up wearing though.'
Travel Guides
Also in attendance will be the cast of Channel 9's Travel Guides, who have won the Logie for Best Lifestyle Program three years running. Cast member and former Beauty and the Geek runner-up Bri Auty tells Yahoo Lifestyle she is hopeful the series will be able to take home another win.
'I'll be there with bells on,' she remarks. 'We got nominated again for Best Lifestyle Program, so hopefully we win again for the fourth year in a row. All of us will be there!'

Love Is Blind 's Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton Reveal Sex of Baby

Originally appeared on E! Online Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton are no longer blind when it comes to the sex of their baby. Two months after announcing that they're expecting their first child together, the Love Is Blind couple—who met and married while filming season one of the Netflix reality series in 2018—shared an adorable gender reveal video, unveiling that they are going to have a boy. In a black-and-white clip shared to Instagram Aug. 1, Lauren, 37, and Cameron, 38, stepped out of their house to find that the cheekily named "Hamilton Herald" newspaper arrived at their doorstep. When they picked up the periodical, the couple discovered an article that said "It's a boy," and the video subsequently filled with color, turning the flowers and the background blue. And the pair were more than happy with the news, with Lauren jumping up and down with excitement before leaning over to give Cameron a sweet kiss. Back in May, the reality TV personalities detailed the moment they found out Lauren was pregnant following a long journey with in-vitro fertilization (IVF). More from E! "We did the classic test and we both went into the bathroom to look." When the pregnancy test came back positive, Lauren recalled feeling a sense of "relief." 'Seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing,' she told People. 'We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried." Noting that they had been trying for a baby for "four years," Lauren added, "It's been a long time coming." Indeed, the couple have previously gotten candid about their challenging fertility journey, which involved Lauren taking medications and daily shots in order to help with the process. And while they shared that the period was undoubtedly difficult for them, Cameron also said it has strengthened their bond as a couple. "Knowing that IVF and all this stuff wasn't really something that you naturally wanted to do but you did it for me," Cameron told Lauren during an October 2024 episode of their The Love Seat podcast, "you showed me a new level of love that I'd never seen before." All About Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's Daughter, Aimee Osbourne (Including Why She Opted Out of Their Family Reality Show)

Aimee Osbourne famously left home at 16 when her family decided to start filming 'The Osbournes'NEED TO KNOW Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne's older daughter Aimee Osbourne was born in 1983 She chose not to appear on their MTV show The Osbournes Aimee has been making music under the name ARO since 2015Unlike her larger-than-life parents, Aimee Osbourne has always preferred to stay out of the spotlight. Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne welcomed their older daughter, Aimee, in 1983. But fans didn't see her on their hit MTV reality series, The Osbournes, as she moved out of the home when she was 16 years old. 'She couldn't live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane,' Sharon revealed during a June 2018 episode of The Talk. 'She felt too that she didn't want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea. It was appalling to her.' Aimee, whose younger siblings are Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne, echoed those sentiments in a September 2015 interview with The Independent, saying, 'Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?" Although she opted out of reality TV stardom, Aimee shares her late father's love of music. She's been releasing songs under the name ARO since 2015. In July 2025, Aimee made a rare public appearance at Ozzy's funeral. Here's everything to know about Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne's eldest daughter, Aimee Osbourne, and her relationship with the reality TV stars. She was born in London Aimee Rachel Osbourne was born in London on Sept. 2, 1983. Like the rest of her family, she grew up both in the English countryside and in California. She told The Independent that their home life was always a little wild, and described herself as 'the one that had to be in control a lot of the time.' "We travelled a lot, went on tour with my dad a lot,' Aimee said. 'But there was never a moment when any of us didn't feel loved, or taken care of." She left home when she was 16 When Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack began filming The Osbournes, Aimee, then 16, declined to appear on the show and moved out of the home. 'I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and ... I always really valued my privacy within that family," she said during an August 2020 interview on Q1043 New York. Aimee added that she wanted to give herself 'a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager' on TV. She continued, 'It didn't really line up with what I saw my future as." During a 2018 episode of The Talk, Sharon revealed how difficult that time was, saying that she regretted 'every day' that her daughter left home. She's the lead singer of ARO Like her father, Aimee is also a musician. She has been releasing music under the name ARO (her initials) since 2015. However, Aimee previously didn't tell anyone that she liked music, as she didn't want to be compared to Ozzy. 'I kept it to myself 'cause you never want it known that you want to do what your parents do,' she said in a January 2021 interview with Her first single, 'Raining Gold,' was inspired by growing up in the spotlight. "I wanted the song to touch on how overwhelming and isolating it feels to be constantly misunderstood and the importance of choosing to break free from that and just believing in yourself," the singer said in a March 2015 interview with Rolling Stone. "It's so valuable to always try and put yourself in someone else's shoes. I hope this song reminds people of that." Aimee released her debut album, Vacare Adamaré, in 2020. In addition to her music, she also played Raquelle in MTV's 2003 musical adaptation of Wuthering Heights. She told reporters at the time that she didn't have 'huge intentions' to be an actress and was 'casually asked" to be in the production. "It was a great experience and I'm glad I did it," she added. She's "really different" from her siblings When it comes to her relationship with her siblings, Aimee told The Independent in 2015 that there isn't 'an ease' between them, rather, 'there is an acceptance.' Kelly has also spoken out about her relationship with her older sister, describing them as 'really different' from one another. 'We don't talk,' she said during a May 2021 interview on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast. 'She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her." She made a rare public appearance for Ozzy's funeral in 2025 Following Ozzy's death on July 22, Aimee made a rare appearance to attend her father's funeral procession in his hometown of Birmingham, England. She walked alongside her mom and siblings as fans crowded the streets to say goodbye to the Prince of Darkness. Rolling Stone Australia reported in July 2025 that Aimee would appear in a documentary about her father titled No Escape From Now. The film reportedly follows the heavy metal legend's health issues and journey to 'take the stage for one final performance.' "Filming with him, Sharon, Aimee, Kelly and Jack for the last three and a half years will always be a cherished and remarkable experience,' the documentary's creative team said in a statement. 'Largely because we got to regularly witness Ozzy's indomitable spirit, his mischievous, irresistible grin and his masterful display of unique one-liners.' No Escape From Now is set to release in late 2025. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

American Eagle fires back at critics after Sydney Sweeney campaign sparks online backlash

American Eagle has broken its silence after the company's Sydney Sweeney "great jeans" campaign sparked backlash online. On Friday, the clothing company took to Instagram and shared an official statement. "'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her Jeans. Her Story. We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way." "Great jeans look good on everyone," the statement concluded. This week, American Eagle released their latest campaign with the "Euphoria" actress, titled "Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans." Following the launch, there has been a mix of reactions on social media. Some dubbed the campaign as "tone-deaf" due to the alleged racial undertones, others have praised the actress for killing "woke" advertising. In a promo video posted to the brand's Instagram, the 27-year-old walked toward an AE billboard featuring her and the tagline "Sydney Sweeney Has Great Genes." Sweeney crossed out "Genes" and replaced it with "Jeans" before walking away. According to Salon, the term "great genes" was historically used to "celebrate whiteness, thinness and attractiveness." In a second ad, Sweeney is seen laying down and fastening her jeans while saying, "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color." The camera then panned up to her blue eyes. "My jeans are blue."
