FOX NFL invites Taylor Swift to Tom Brady-led booth as Travis Kelce's beau impresses everyone with her football knowledge
Taylor Swift's unannounced drop-in on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce did more than stir headlines — it reopened a conversation about the blending of pop culture and live sports.
Swift's playful reflection on her early football misunderstandings and her cheeky timeline for career expansion have set social feeds alight, and FOX's push to land fresh, crossover personalities means the idea of her in a broadcast booth no longer feels purely fanciful.
From clueless to committed: how Taylor Swift's football glow-up resonated on New Heights
On the episode, Swift admitted a charming origin story of confusion, 'I used to think both offenses were on the field at the same time. Like Jared Goff is here, and Josh Allen is here… and then they both blow a whistle and then they go at each other.'
That frankness underscored a genuine learning arc: from bafflement to obsession. Her curiosity, combined with visible enthusiasm for tactical details like special teams and draft decisions, reframes her as a conduit between longtime fans and newcomers who want the game explained without condescension.
NFL on Fox's official account posted an Instagram video demanding, 'We need to get @taylorswift in the NFL on FOX booth.'

Why FOX eyeing Taylor Swift could be a strategic ratings move beyond a celebrity cameo
Networks increasingly chase attention economies where appointment viewing depends on cultural relevance as much as analysis. FOX already stacked its lead booth with Tom Brady and seasoned on-air talent, but adding a figure like Swift could expand casual viewership and deepen engagement among younger, pop-oriented audiences.
Swift's comment, 'I'm not ready to be an analyst right now, but give me 16 months', feels less like refusal and more like a promise of potential.
If networks want to grow the pie, having a high-profile celebrity who's also committed to learning the game could be a smart long-term play.

What this could mean for how we watch football next season
Inviting Swift would be about more than novelty. It signals a shift toward broadcasts that treat narrative, personality and expert analysis as complementary. Whether she ever lands in a booth, her New Heights visit highlighted a broader truth: modern sports audiences value authenticity and accessibility.

NewJeans and ADOR go to trial: Both unable to reach an agreement
The latest in NewJeans' case against their management company ADOR seems to be getting messier. The two parties have reportedly not yet been able to reach an agreement that benefits them both. NewJeans and their management company fail to reach an agreement NewJeans and their former agency had another hearing on Thursday. This marks the fourth hearing altogether. As per the Korea JoongAng Daily reports, the attempt at this trial was to ensure that both NewJeans as well as their company reach a mutual understanding; however, the matter was not resolved. The hearing took place at the Seoul Central District Court in the afternoon on August 14, and was attended by the legal representatives of both the group and the company. NewJeans members Minji and Danielle were also present at the court hearing. They had each presented their side of the argument and their needs and requirements for reaching an understanding. Since this attempt did not bring out anything fruitful, the next hearing has been set for September 11. About the legal battle The case itself began almost a year ago when the girl group alleged that their contracts with the company had become obsolete due to the fact that terms in the contract were breached by the company. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 15 Most Beautiful Female Athletes in the World Click Here Undo The opposing argument was presented, which stated that no such thing has happened, and in return, their company filed for an injunction, citing that the group does not promote individually without the company. The court had ruled in favour of the company, and the girls' promotions for their new song 'Pit Stop' came to a halt. Now, in recent hearings, after the court ruled that the contracts are not null and void, NewJean' legal representation has cited that the abuse that the girls went through should be considered. They have also shared that the group will join the company once the former CEO, Min Hee Jin, is reinstated.
