
Huge fire in Bracebridge destroys home and outbuildings
Six fire trucks were called to the Tuesday evening fire from Bracebridge Fire Department Stations 1 and 2, with another four firefighters monitoring the scene Wednesday morning.
Plested said the home and at least two structures are a complete loss and it's not clear if the homeowner has insurance.
The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office estimates the damage to be more than $1,000,000.

Police looking to identify break and enter suspect
Windsor police are hoping the public can identify the person seen in this image as part of a break and enter investigation. (Source: Windsor Police Service) Windsor police are hoping the public can help identify a person wanted in relation to the break and enter of a home. On July 23, police were called to a home in the 2200 block of Roxborough Boulevard near the Southcameron Woodlot — but it's believed the break and enter happened July 17 while the homeowners were out of town. Police said a laptop and a large speaker were reported stolen. The suspect is described as a white man between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, wearing a white sweater, knee-length jean shorts with cuts on the front, and a white Toronto Blue Jays hat with a blue or purple rim. The suspect was also seen on surveillance carrying a black backpack, a blue duffel bag and riding a bicycle. Three charged after cash, $15K in drugs seized in Cobalt
Police seized drugs believed to be crystal meth, cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl and hydromorphone pills worth $15,000, $1,525 in cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia and packaging materials. Two people from Cobalt and one person from the GTA have been charged with drug offences following a raid of a residence in the community earlier this week. After executing a search warrant on Lang Street July 30 at 3 p.m., police seized drugs believed to be crystal meth, cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl and hydromorphone pills worth $15,000, $1,525 in cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia and packaging materials. North York suspect 'Three individuals were arrested at the scene and are facing numerous drug-related charges,' Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Friday. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $15,000. A 20-year-old from North York and a 44-year-old from Cobalt have been charged with several counts of drug trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. A 32-year-old from Cobalt has been charged with drug possession. 'All three accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury at a later date,' police said. Two people in Leamington have been busted by the 'bait bike' set out by OPP. In June, police said the initiated a proactive 'bait bicycle' initiative to address the numerous thefts of bicycles in the Municipality of Leamington. The initiative saw the arrest of anyone who tried to take the bike.
