Kate Moss is the new face of Donna Karan, appearing in a sultry campaign spotlighting the veteran designer's Spring 2025 collection.
The legendary New York fashion brand has been investing in its revival since its relaunch last spring. Moss is just the latest '90s supermodel to be tapped to appear in a Donna Karan campaign. This follows up the Fall 2024 Campaign entitled 'Reflections on Women,' which featured the likes of Christy Turlington, Eva Herzigova, and Amber Valletta.

'Donna Karan New York expands its vision of iconic timelessness by featuring Kate Moss forthe Spring 2025 Campaign. A legend who has captivated the world over decades, Moss embodies the enduring spirit and identity of the brand today,' a press statement reads. Photos shot by Craig McDean see Moss posing in chic white and neutral-toned pieces from the collection, with an earthy, light-filled room as the backdrop.
The model can be seen wearing an elegant white linen suit, a curve-hugging halter dress, a chunky knit off-the-shoulder sweater paired with a chic skirt in the same warm ecru shade, and glossy white slingback pumps. Another look sees Moss in a sheer white tank top seamlessly tucked into sophisticated white trousers, with a long coat on top. An oversized white bag completes the monochromatic look.
Pieces throughout the collection, including the footwear, are adorned with reflective gold hardware inspired by looks from the brand's archive. In addition to white slingbacks, shoe styles range from black leather and gold-embellished backless sandals set on walkable block heels, pointy flats in a shimmering gold metallic finish, and strappy black patent peep-toe pumps.
'It was great working with Donna Karan New York again and shooting with Craig McDean is always fun, he is like family,' Moss said of the collaboration. 'To me, Donna Karan has always Been about effortless glamour and luxury with a little bit of an edge and this collection really captures all of that.'
The Spring 2025 collection will be available to shop in select retailers in North America and on DonnaKaran.com on February 6.
Donna Karan was last seen presenting Kenneth Cole with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 FN Achievement Awards in December. Both Karan and Cole were honored with the Icon Award for Social Impact at the 2019 FNAAs for their humanitarian work in Haiti.

Thank you to Alfred A. Knopf for sending a copy of When We Were Monsters in exchange for an honest review. Looking to usher in autumn with a young adult novel that doesn't shy away from the darker side of life? When We Were Monsters by Jennifer Niven is here to fill the void. The 'academia thriller' wears its influences on its sleeve, and ultimately, is greater than the sum of its parts. When We Were Monsters by Jennifer Niven In When We Were Monsters, eight exceptional students attending an East Coast boarding school are selected for an exclusive storytelling conference. The group will spend a fortnight at 'the Moss,' the mansion once owned by the late founder of the school. There, they'll study under the tutelage of Meredith Graffam, an infamous writer, actor, director and public figure who harbors a plethora of dark secrets. Among the eight students, who are progressively 'eliminated' from the workshop reality TV-style over the course of the novel, two are the obvious protagonists. These are Effy, who nurses the childhood trauma of her mother's death in a car accident. And then there's Arlo, who is dealing with the more recent death of his best friend. Further complicating matters between these two protagonists is a shared sexual history that culminated in a bad breakup. RELATED: Book Review: Peter Miles Has to Die But from the moment the octet arrives at the estate, it is clear that something is rotten in the Moss. As the teenagers learn more about each other and themselves, they also discover some unsettling details about Graffam. But more perplexing still are the 'challenges' to which Graffam subjects the teens in the name of developing their storytelling acumen. Utilizing the wintery woods and stormy seas that surround the Moss, Graffam pushes the students into a sequence of dangerous situations. But only one student will be awarded the workshop's 'top prize.' This is Graffam's guarantee that the winner's story will be professionally released in whatever medium the student is pursuing. The Writing Workshop When We Were Monsters is a novel that wears its influences on its sleeve. It opens with a quotation from Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley. This novel becomes something of a keystone reference throughout When We Were Monsters, as it is Effy's comfort novel. And there are plenty of other allusions, too, both literary and cinematic. These include references to several Stephen King books, including the seminal nonfiction book On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. But perhaps the most significant of the allusions (Frankenstein aside) are the works of Shirley Jackson. I detected a particularly strong flavor of We Have Always Lived in the Castle. However, I was also strongly reminded of a more recent novel, Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl. This isn't a critique, really, but just a persistent comparison. However, When We Were Monsters is perhaps geared toward slightly younger readers and has a more definitive conclusion. RELATED: Book Review: Crueler Mercies More Fleshing Out When We Were Monsters is told from the perspective of two characters: Effy and Arlo. Depending on who is narrating the chapter, the character's name is displayed. These complementary first-person narrators were fine, but I wish that their voices were a little more distinct from one another. More than once, I found myself flipping back to the start of the chapter to recall who was currently narrating. Furthermore, the two protagonists were easily the best-developed characters in the novel. I could have used a little more fleshing out for the supporting cast. Overall, I found the novel gripping enough. I wasn't exactly staying up late or missing meals to get to the conclusion. And I never felt compelled to sit and read for hours on end. But I also didn't have a hard time picking it up day after day, either. Available September 2025 While it isn't a revelation, When We Were Monsters is an enjoyable enough read. And perhaps some of the young adult readers who pick it up will see it as a gateway to enjoying some of the myriad classic prose novels referenced in its pages. Project Runway Is Back—Can It Finally Produce a New Fashion Star?

When Project Runway first aired it became a global phenomenon. I would know—I sat in front of my TV back in my hometown of La Paz, Bolivia, and tuned in to every episode. I can still remember the names of my favorite contestants, and can still recall the promise of fashion superstardom that was outlined with the prize rewards at the beginning of each episode: a magazine spread, a show at the tents at Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week—the opportunity to become the next It-designer, the next, say, Michael Kors, who was the show's star judge. This was a different time. In 2004, when the show first aired, the ins-and-outs of a career in fashion had not yet been put into focus by movies like The Devil Wears Prada (2006) or TV shows such Ugly Betty (2006). Yes, Tim Blanks and Elsa Klensch had their respective TV shows, and yes, House of Style helped Todd Oldham and Cindy Crawford become household names. But what it would take to be part of fashion itself, that only came with the arrival of Project Runway. My friends and I still refer to Nina Garcia, now the editor-in-chief of Elle, as the 'fashion director of Elle magazine,' the way Heidi Klum used to introduce her every episode. And now that we all work in fashion, we like to quote Klum: 'some days you're in, and the next day you're out,' emulating her Teutonic delivery. We remember Kors's quips and his savage reads. But as inescapable as Project Runway is in the context of pop culture and reality television, its impact on fashion is more nebulous. Sure, Project Runway encouraged a generation of would-be fashionistas to pursue their dreams, not by showing them it was easy, but by revealing the exact opposite—this is what it takes, do you have it? Yet the show itself, 20 seasons in and with countless international adaptations, has only created one bonafide fashion star. Christian Siriano, who occupies the role of mentor on the rebooted show, is the most well-known and prolific designer to come out of Project Runway since winning its fourth season in 2007. Siriano shows on the official New York Fashion Week schedule, dresses the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Ariana Grande, and has stores in Manhattan and Westport, Connecticut. Many of the other names I remember from those early seasons have simply, unfortunately, fallen off.

In the latest 'Savage Fashion' podcast episode, WWD's chief content officer Jim Fallon and fashion director Alex Badia sat down with Michael Kors to discuss his fashion-obsessed childhood and ascent to the industry as well as his return to 'Project Runway,' filmed at the renovated and recently reopened Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. 'I always thought you had to be by the book,' Kors told Fallon and Badia. 'You go to FIT, you graduate, you become an assistant working for another designer and you learn the ropes. There was never a doubt that I was going to have the Michael Kors brand and it was going to be my own thing — but I didn't know it was going to happen so fast.' He walked into the famous nightclub and immediately felt right at home. 'I was seeing the designers I admired out and about and seeing the women they dressed: Halston, Calvin [Klein] or Steven Burrows. I knew this would be my world.' Kors shared that his brand's aesthetic is personal to who he is — 'I'm a bit of a contradiction myself. I am super casual but I love luxury and I love indulgence. I'm either the life of the party or I'm a loner. I'm levelheaded but silly. I always responded to this idea that people have different sides to them.' While noting that fashion has not always been portrayed in the best light in film and on television, Kors was intrigued when he heard the premise of 'Project Runway' — the show coincided with the launch of his more accessible Michael Michael Kors line and pulled back the curtain on how Kors thinks and operates as a global brand. Kors will be returning this season as a guest judge. 'I might get in trouble for saying this but I think American designers need to show in New York,' Kors said. 'I think British designers need to show in London. I think Italian designers need to show in Italy. I think French designers need to show in Paris. There's strength in numbers; we are a community. I'd like to see everyone back together and showing in New York together — it makes it more powerful. America is a place of such great diversity and fashion week should be that.' Fallon and Badia also discussed the latest news, with the second-quarter earnings reporting from luxury groups largely in decline. Kering sales were down 25 percent in the first half, with consumers waiting for Demna's start at Gucci in September with a see now, buy now strategy. LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton saw a 22 percent decline with Dior still in a transitional period with creative director Jonathan Anderson, but Louis Vuitton outperformed its other brands. While LVMH firmly denied back in January that Marc Jacobs was on the selling block, WWD's deputy managing editor Evan Clark reported that various industry sources said that Authentic Brands Group, WHP Global and Bluestar Alliance are all in talks with LVMH and JP Morgan to potentially buy up the American brand — it's reportedly up for grabs for a cool $1 billion. '[The Marc Jacobs sale news] was a bit of a surprise,' Fallon said. 'We heard it early in the year but LVMH firmly denied it. Marc and others still own a stake in the brand. The most surprising thing is the people they're talking to — brand management firms. It's really then going to be more of a licensed business. What that means for Marc himself — given that he himself designs the most extravagant, imaginative and creative collections — remains to be seen.' And tariffs continue to be top of mind, as Wall Street continues to closely monitor the never-ending changes in rates and negotiations with the Trump administration. 'What will be interesting to see — which is yet to be determined — is what impact the tariffs are going to have. The wines and spirits division [at LVMH] is going to be hit pretty hard by the 15 percent tariffs. That's higher than what they're already paying. We're still figuring out what that means for the fashion division but it will also be higher for the beauty products,' Fallon said. To listen to the full episode, CLICK HERE.
