BBC tennis pundit ‘bombarded with messages from stalker who targeted sister with bizarre paintings & gifts'

The stalker is due to be sentenced next week STALKING HELL BBC tennis pundit 'bombarded with messages from stalker who targeted sister with bizarre paintings & gifts' A BBC tennis pundit was bombarded with messages from a stalker after he'd also targeted her sister with bizarre paintings and gifts. Ex-player turned TV star Naomi Broady - sister of Brit tennis ace Liam Broady - was flooded with social media messages between January and December 2023 by creep David Richardson. 5 Naomi Broady, 35, was bombarded with social media messages for nearly a year Credit: Instagram/naomibroady 5 She has been working for the BBC since 2021, and was involved in the Wimbledon coverage this summer Credit: Instagram/naomibroady 5 Broady after booking her place in round 2 at Wimbledon in 2014 Credit: Getty Images - Getty Richardson, 39, pleaded guilty to harassment of mum-of-two Naomi, 35, and the stalking of her sibling Emma Broady, 37, over a three-year period at Manchester Magistrates' Court last month. He is said to have sent "multiple unwanted messages via Facebook and sending unwanted gifts, cards and paintings". Court papers add the ordeal caused Naomi "serious harm and distress", reports The Mirror. The newspaper approached Richardson at his home in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and he told them he had gone to school with Emma and wanted to make a "positive impact" before asking her out. However, when she rejected him, he turned his attentions to Naomi. "I wanted to try to win her over - I wanted to ask her out," he said. Richardson explained he was "a bit out of practice with the girls... I've not been in a relationship". He had bought Selfridges vouchers and flowers for Emma on her birthday, Valentine's Day and Christmas in a bid to win her over. The stalker is banned from contacting either sister or visiting their homes ahead of sentencing on August 18. A source told The Mirror: "It was terrifying. They were pleased the police took it seriously. Action has now been taken." Emma Raducanu 'asks for crying child to be EJECTED from stadium' in tense exchange with umpire and crowd agree The court papers state Richardson had pursued Naomi - who was involved in the Beeb's Wimbledon coverage this summer, and appears on Radio 5 Live, "which amounted to harassment". It adds he "sent various unwanted messages on Facebook" between January 18 and December 4 2023. Naomi had begun playing tennis at the age of seven and competed in the junior circuit of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) between 2004 and 2008, including reaching the quarter finals of a Wimbledon girls tournament. She made her debut at the senior Wimbledon championships in 2008 but was beaten by Rika Fujiwara in the qualifying rounds. The following year, Naomi won her first senior title in Grenoble, France, defeating top seed Youlia Fedossova. In 2014 he was given a wildcard entry into Wimbledon and beat Timea Babos before being knocked out in the second round. She also made it through to the second round of the US Open in 2016. The same year, Naomi reached the third round of the Wimbledon doubles, and later made it to the quarter finals in the mixed doubles in 2014 and 2021. She began working as a BBC commentator for Radio 5 Live at the US Open in 2021. Naomi is not the first tennis star targeted by a stalker, with British number one Emma Raducanu, 22, left in tears last year at the Dubai Tennis Championships after seeing a man follow her to four successive tournaments. The same man, who was removed, had given the player a letter and asked for her photo in a coffee shop the previous day. He was given a restraining order by local cops. Raducanu had previously been the victim of stalker Amrit Magar who was slapped with a five-year restraining order in 2022 after he walked 23 miles to her home. 5 Broady was said to have been left distressed by the ordeal Credit: Instagram/naomibroady

Chris added as he entered: "I'm so, so nervous, and I cannot dance and I'm looking forward to it." La Voix was runner up on the sixth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, while Chris is the former captain of England's rugby union team and Harlequins RFC. As Scott chatted to them about joining the show, Chris admitted: "My wife said 'when was the last time you put yourself out of comfort zone and put fear into you?' "It's daunting and great to test yourself, but I've got two left feet." Meanwhile La Voix - real name Chris Dennis - confessed that despite an extensive performing career, she is not known for being a dancing Queen. She said: "I can't dance, I've always said it's not my thing. "I've managed to get through 20 years of being on stage by standing in the centre and having dancers choreographed around me, now I can't hide behind that any more." Strictly signs first drag act for 2025 series The first name to be announced was Gladiators star Nitro - real name Harry Aikines Aryeetey - who had taken part in the Christmas Special last year. He was quickly followed by Love Island winner Dani Dyer, Doctor Who star Alex Kingston and former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Representing soap land this year is EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar. The sixth celebrity to be confirmed was YouTube star George Clarke. The Sun was first to confirm La Voix had signed up for Strictly, with a show insider saying: " Producers already trialled having a drag artist on the show in the form of Tayce who actually won the Christmas Special last year with Kai Widdrington. 'La Voix is a bit more of an old-school entertainer who's a little closer to the traditional Strictly audience in terms of style and vibe. 'It's just another example of the Strictly execs constantly pushing at the boundaries and making changes that the show's audiences then have to adapt to.'

She styled her blonde hair poker-straight and smiled for the camera as boxer Tommy, 26, wearing a white vest, wrapped his arm around her waist. He was seen gazing tenderly down at the tot, who appeared cheery despite the fact it was bedtime. In another slide posted to her Instagram Stories, Molly-Mae showcased the cot complete with a patterned sleeping bag and Bambi's toy, including a cuddly toy deer from the Disney movie of the same name. She wrote in her caption: "We decided to say goodbye to the sleeping bag tonight ... "It felt weirdly emotional and a big moment. "The sleeping bag made her feel like a baby still." She added: "Next step is big girl bed ... but we aren't in any rush for that as she's so happy in her cot!" In her second image, accompanying the family image, she added the words: "Family pic for the moment." Molly-Mae accused of 'always moaning' as she claims not to have done 'one fun thing' this summer despite holidays Their relationship story featured in Molly's recent Amazon documentary where she talked about their New Year's Eve kiss, which began feverish speculation that they were back together. They are now working hard to put past cheating allegations and Tommy's alcohol-fuelled partying problems behind them. OFF SCREEN Molly-Mae recently opened up to fans about the real reason Tommy doesn't appear frequently on her vlog - like he used to prior to their split. The influencer addressed criticism levelled at Tommy by some fans who accused him of being an absent dad. In hurtful comments, they claimed that Molly's sister Zoe, 28, is more of a father figure due to her regular appearance in the videos. Ex Love Island star Molly explained: "I've seen so many comments saying 'Zoe is more the dad' I only vlog when I am not with Tommy, I am with Tommy literally 80 per ceent of the week and he is with Bambi the majority of the week. "But I vlog when we are here and he is at his because it's just something that I am not ready to like open up with yet and like flinging the camera around like when we're a family. "I just think like we're not there yet and still figuring out life and living situations. I'm not ready to vlog like we used to." TOMMY'S AIM Tommy opens up on the reason for the couple's split in his new BBC documentary - as well as showing his commitment to being a strong dad. In part of his documentary he is asked if he thought Molly-Mae would leave him amid his booze battles and he replied: "No, no, I didn't!" He continued: "Me and Molly worked so hard keeping it the same for that girl. "In that little girl's eyes we are still a family. We will always be a family but in that little girl's eyes nothing has changed. "Being a father to me is the biggest achievement of my life. She is everything to me. "I'd give up my life like that for her in a second. "Everything I am doing now is to get my family back. And I need to fight again to achieve that goal." 6 Molly-Mae recently revealed why Tommy doesn't feature much in her vlogs Credit: YouTube/MollyMae 6 The Love Island couple recently reunited after splitting last summer Credit: Getty
